Igorrr on Tour

Igorrr is the unique musical project of French multi-instrumentalist and producer Gautier Serre. Known for combining disparate genres, including heavy metal, death metal, Baroque, hip-hop, and operatic singing into a singular cohesive sound, Igorrr has amassed loyal fans around the world. They've toured with the likes of Ministry and headlined renowned festivals including Heavy Montréal festival, Dour Festival, Europavox, and the Montreux Jazz Festival.

What started off as a solo project in the mid-2000s expanded into a full band featuring a collective of musicians who came together to play on Igorrr's third full-length album, Savage Sinusoid, released on renowned heavy metal label Metal Blade Records in 2017. The ambitious album features several guest musicians, including members of Secret Chiefs 3 and Cattle Decapitation.

Known for their powerful and theatrical live performances and complex musicianship, Igorrr bring a whole new meaning to head banging. Don't miss your chance to see this unparalleled band when they come to a city near you.

Igorrr Live in Concert

Multi-instrumentalist Gautier Serre, who performs under the name Igorrr, plays guitar, drums and piano and is also a gifted producer who has been a member of bands including Whourkr and Corpo-Mente.

Named after Serre's pet gerbil Igorr that he had when he was very young (with an extra r added at the end), Igorrr have made a name for themselves in the heavy music scene by adeptly bringing together different styles of music that normally wouldn't be uttered in the same breath, including death metal, trip-hop, Baroque, and opera.

Serre started Igorrr because he couldn't find the type of music he wanted to listen to. "What creates the need to make this type of music is that I didn't find anywhere I wanted to hear," he said in an interview with Rock n' Heavy. "I love baroque music as much as death, black metal, or electronic music, and I want to listen to everything simultaneously."

After being a primarily solo endeavor for a few years, Igorrr became a full band with the addition of vocalists Aphrodite Patoulidou and JB Le Bail, drummer Sylvain Bouvier and  guitarist Martyn Clément.

Igorrr's fourth solo album, Spirituality and Distortion, released on Metal Blade Records in 2020, received rave reviews and featured an impressive cast of nearly 20 musicians, all bringing their unique talents to the proceedings.

    Soul Awakening Experience

by Tenta on 9/25/23Brighton Music Hall presented by Citizens - Boston

I've been to concerts before, and each artist I've seen has been even better in person, but this was something on another. Everything was perfect. The crowd was pretty polite (including making sure no one got stepped on when moshing). Merch was an amazing price (I wish I bought more). I was entertained the whole night. But the music... the music and lighting felt like a religious awakening. Everyone was in sync. We sang, clapped, and headbanged till our heart's were content. It didn't matter how close to the stage you were, the whole building would have felt the music thumping in their chest. I've been raving to my friends how I want to go again and bring them too. Bonus: I had direct eye contact with everyone on stage!

    The new Masters

by Nine Thirteen on 9/20/23The Masquerade - Hell - Atlanta

I've seen Skinny puppy (a lot), Rammstein, Gwar, Slayer, Richard Divine, Author and Punisher and even Crash Worship. Igorrr, Otto Von Schriach, and Melt Banana was one of the best shows I have seen in so many years. Maybe over a decade. These people even had their bus break down and they still gave one of the most stellar performances I have seen with little to no sound check. The audience that night was on loud, literally! It is what you hope for from the fans at any show that has high intense music. A++++++++++ All 3 acts taught it and brought it!

Stuck on a Desert Island with One Band

by ouchMonkey on 9/19/23The Masquerade - Hell - Atlanta

One of the top pieces of performance art I've seen. Absolutely mind melting. I'd go again if they were playing within 3 hours on this same tour. FANTASTIC!
