TERRIBLE team since 2010
by Vegitoboi on 5/21/24Soldier Field - ChicagoI remember the early days of the Chicago Fire where they’d make the playoffs every year. 2009 was their last GOOD team they had. Since then, they keep failing to make headway and the low attendance proves it. Sure, they’re kid friendly and there for those who want to see a soccer game. Sure, they made the 1st round of the playoffs maybe 2-3 times since 2009 and had legendary players like Blanco, McBride, and Schweinsteiger. But the fact of the matter is, they’re NOT a dominant team. Dare I say, they want from being a feared team in MLS to being a laughing stock. If MLS had regulation like the European leagues then the Fire would be out of MLS. It’s been a sad 14 years and my fire for the Fire has all but fizzled out to the point where I stopped following the team on a religious basis long time ago. The only I went to this particular game is to see if they can beat their rivals who happen to be the current Champions. Of, they didn’t.
