Access to the Fairmount Park Stage Gold Lounge featuring private complimentary bars, twice complimentary food pop-ups & daily complimentary mixology demos with sampling*. - The asterisk was attached to no further info. The private bartenders were great. The Ciroc was watered down(there is no way I wasn't plastered as much as I drank and I'm not a drinker). The tequila wasn't as much either. The complimentary food pop-up was from a vegan sponsor that took forever to get prepared, was very meager (considering the amount of people in VIP), and tasted horrible. The mixology demos never happened.
Access to a VIP only general admission pit and also to an elevated viewing platform area for the main stage (Fairmount Park Stage) - Great. It got extremely crowded in Gold later in the evening. Uncomfortably crowded to were we couldn't see the stage at all and people were hovering over you. More seating please. But it is really viewing the performers from the side and having to watch them from the monitors to see them fully. My neck was aching, by day two, from turning look at a screen. The people on the lawn, on the pit, and in ADA had a better view.
Speaking of ADA, I'm ADA (hearing and physical) but I spent the extra money out of fear of discomfort. My fears were valid. While there was prime spots for the ADA, it was in the blazing sun, without a covering, not being allowed an umbrella, left in the Sun for 45 minutes waiting for a ticket scanner the first day, and contending with one person and the multiple people with them for entry. Parking was perfect though.
Access to the Acclaim Lounge with private full service CASHLESS bars & drink specials - Where was that? Or was it by VIP Silver? It wasn't very clear. VIP Silver was mad trash. TRASH! I saw a lot silver people in the Gold area.
Access to air-conditioned VIP flushing bathrooms (Fairmount Prk Stage & Podcast Stage) - On point.
Access to exclusive VIP food vendor offerings for purchase - Ummmm. The vendor was not a VIP food vendor if you have the same vendor with the same food all over the park. The only thing special was that we didn't have to leave the area. But we did because the food was subpar. The lemonades were the highlight and they were watered down severely the next day.
Speaking of vendors, since the pads for ordering were controlled by the event planners (the company name was up and down my statement), it would be nice that they have them on time as well. One restaurant, we fancied, had to wait 20 minutes after opening for a pad. The line was ridiculous.
Access to mobile charging stations - Where?
VIP fast lane entry into the event - Fair
Commemorative VIP laminate - Got it
On-site concierge with complimentary festival must-haves - Oh. The girls with Rap snacks and other incidentals. I'll give you that. It went extremely fast.
Would I do VIP again? Only because my child requested that we do. Was it worth almost $500 a day? Not to me.
