About

ZZ WARD IN CONCERT:

Blues-rock queen ZZ Ward is a soulful and sassy newcomer who's quickly making herself known with her robust vocals, intricate guitar playing, and signature fedora. Whether she's nailing a harmonica solo on "Grinnin' In Your Face" or serenading fans on the tear-jerking love ballad "Last Love Song", ZZ Ward puts on a thrilling live performance every time. Hot off the heels of a packed 2014 Coachella set, ZZ Ward will have fans dancing all night long on her thrilling, high-energy tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born Zsuzsanna Eva Ward, ZZ Ward got her start performing alongside her musician father at the age of 12. Several years later, she decided to pursue a full-time music career and moved to Los Angeles to begin work on her debut album. After collaborating with Ryan Tedder and Fitz from Fitz and the Tantrums, Ward broke out with her EP Criminal in 2012 and generated major buzz with her infectious, bluesy style. The demo attracted attention from big names like Kendrick Lamar and Freddie Gibbs, who were so enamored by her songs that they joined forces with the new singer and were featured on tracks from her full-length LP Til the Casket Drops.  Since then, the budding songstress has toured with guitar legend Eric Clapton, made appearances on a number of popular talk shows, and had her music featured in major films and television series -- all in a few short years. Back on the road, Ward will bring the house down as she treats audiences to a string of fan-favorites on her highly anticipated shows.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"ZZ is an amazing artist. She plays with a ton of energy. We have seen her in Vegas and this time she was even better. Can't wait to see her again."

"ZZ was wonderful and so was her band. I was surprised to see her play guitar, piano and rock out on the harp! The musicianship was top notch and she was really personal with the audience and often had us singing along. Did a really cool cover of Drake's 'Hold On, We’re Going Home' that was really creative. Awesome show!"

"She was really good and her band was really tight. I would recommend seeing her to anyone with ears who likes great music."

This was definitely One Hell of a Night! ZZ put on an amazing show, and connected with her audience like we were genuinely Dirty Shine FAMILY. I can’t say enough good about her!

by Zzfan on 9/22/23Majestic Theatre - MadisonRating: 5 out of 5

She did a wonderful job of joining old and new tunes. My only complaint is I could have watched her play for much longer. She played for about an hour and a half.

  • ZZ Ward was AMAZING!!

She was an excellent performer. All of our favorite (older) songs were played as well as a few from the new album.

I have been waiting since ZZ's show in 2020 was cancelled for her to come back. Could not be any happier.

  • Zz Ward was dope

by Cutty on 9/17/23House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Man ZZ Ward killed it. She sang all her top songs and some new ones. Her band was killer and they all just jamed their hearts out. I can't wait till she comes to Cleveland again. I'm definitely getting VIPS next time. We seen her at house of blues and man that venue was so cool. Probably the best place I think to see such a bluesy star like ZZ..

  • XL Live

XL Live is a really cool and spacious venue. Definitely will be looking for other shows that are here.

  • Played to the level of the crowd

by bodielgt on 9/16/23XL Live - HarrisburgRating: 3 out of 5

I feel bad for ZZ Ward and her band. There were only about 200 at the Harrisburg PA concert! She did her best under the disappointing circumstances, but it took a long time for the band to get it together. Early on, there was annoying feedback from the guitarist, who really struggled to get in rhythm. ZZ also struggled to get her voice in tune, but really no one was to blame but the pathetic crowd. It is Harrisburg's loss that they did not come out for this great artist. They really kicked butt during the last three or four songs that saved the concert from being a complete disappointment, but there was no encore. ZZ could not get out of this town and this show fast enough.

  • ZZ Ward gets an A for her performance

by Mister9am on 9/16/23Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

The Paradise is a fantastic place to see a show. ZZ Ward was fabulous and sounded incredible. She played every song you wanted to hear and more. Her smile and enthusiasm was infectious. We got to hear tracks from her new album and some brand new music that will be on the next release. It was a feel-good concert that had you loving live music. The show ended with her hinting at a baby bump that had the crowd cheering for another encore.

  • She was amazing

by Misty on 9/15/23House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

ZZ Ward was fantastic! She played through a tiny sound thing. She was on stage with such great energy! She played some of her classics some of her new album and some covers that I wish she had recorded. That band was awesome and even though I didn’t record anything I wish I had to hear it all again live! I had a really great time and would see her again!!

  • Amazing!

  • ZZ Ward a fun night

by dave on 9/13/23Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

ZZ Ward rocked the Paradise in Boston on Sunday night with an alternating blazing and soulful set of a little less than 2 hours. The rhythm section was pounding and tight with a great guitar leading the way. ZZ sounded strong and she delivered a memorable show. A great set list of new stuff and old hits. Her new songs off of Dirty Shine were impressive. Go buy the CD. Don't miss her if you have the opportunity.

This is the first time I’ve seen ZZ perform live since 2019 and I didn’t realize how much I missed her until she took the stage! This was an excellent night of music from start to finish! ZZ performed a mix of her older music and tracks from her amazing new album. I loved her energy and how much she interacted with the audience. This was a very fun concert and I can’t wait to see her again!

We had a great time seeing ZZ Ward for the first time in ~5 years. Still a great show, great energy, and of course, great songs. The set list was a great mix of songs from across her albums. Can't wait for her to return DC and see her again.
