ZZ WARD IN CONCERT:
Blues-rock queen ZZ Ward is a soulful and sassy newcomer who's quickly making herself known with her robust vocals, intricate guitar playing, and signature fedora. Whether she's nailing a harmonica solo on "Grinnin' In Your Face" or serenading fans on the tear-jerking love ballad "Last Love Song", ZZ Ward puts on a thrilling live performance every time. Hot off the heels of a packed 2014 Coachella set, ZZ Ward will have fans dancing all night long on her thrilling, high-energy tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born Zsuzsanna Eva Ward, ZZ Ward got her start performing alongside her musician father at the age of 12. Several years later, she decided to pursue a full-time music career and moved to Los Angeles to begin work on her debut album. After collaborating with Ryan Tedder and Fitz from Fitz and the Tantrums, Ward broke out with her EP Criminal in 2012 and generated major buzz with her infectious, bluesy style. The demo attracted attention from big names like Kendrick Lamar and Freddie Gibbs, who were so enamored by her songs that they joined forces with the new singer and were featured on tracks from her full-length LP Til the Casket Drops. Since then, the budding songstress has toured with guitar legend Eric Clapton, made appearances on a number of popular talk shows, and had her music featured in major films and television series -- all in a few short years. Back on the road, Ward will bring the house down as she treats audiences to a string of fan-favorites on her highly anticipated shows.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"ZZ is an amazing artist. She plays with a ton of energy. We have seen her in Vegas and this time she was even better. Can't wait to see her again."
"ZZ was wonderful and so was her band. I was surprised to see her play guitar, piano and rock out on the harp! The musicianship was top notch and she was really personal with the audience and often had us singing along. Did a really cool cover of Drake's 'Hold On, We’re Going Home' that was really creative. Awesome show!"
"She was really good and her band was really tight. I would recommend seeing her to anyone with ears who likes great music."
Great concert experience for mother, daughter and granddaughter! ZZ did not disappoint and the venue was perfect. Looking forward to another show!
We started off with the VIP Meet & Greet which was awesome. She's so friendly and it was fun to actually speak with her. This is the 2nd time seeing her and we are always in awe of her talent and shows never disappoint!! Excited to see her again in the future!!
I was lucky enough to be right up front not twenty feet away from her. I was amazed all that music came from such a little girl, she was absolutely incredible.
From the first note she sang to the last strum of the guitar zz wards energy and passion for music was undeniable! The show was amazing raw and pure. If you love rock and blues with honest lyrics and a voice the stirs the soul zz ward is a must see. Don't miss her next show
I came to St Louis to see her. I've seen ZZ 4 times and she keeps getting better. She owns the stage. Her show is more varied than earlier. My concern is that with 2 albums out and a host of other blues songs to draw from the concert should be longer than an hour plus.
ZZ was great and put on an awesome show. Simply amazing.
This was our second time seeing ZZ Ward in concert. As with the first time, she put on an energetic show demonstrating her prowess with multiple instruments and playing most of her biggest hits. Her backup musicians were just outstanding with the drummer being a major stand out with his remarkable timing and ability to play at a volume appropriate for the song. The venue was really nice, we'd never been to Delmar Hall before and can highly recommend that as it has an almost club like feel with tables and bars to sit at if you're old like me and prefer that, but you can also get on the floor to be up close and personal with the stage and performers. Either way, the small venue is intimate and the acoustics were outstanding. If I have a complaint it is that ZZ didn't play all of her big hits, notably Domino was left off. Overall the show was pretty short (1 hour 25 minutes I believe) and she played only one encore.
High Energy - with Perfect Musical Talent - Will see ZZ WARD Every Time She is in St. Louis
What a great show! Opening act was great as well. Small venue made for a better experience too.
ZZ was great as always and Devon Gilfillian was an AWESOME opener
My sixth time seeing ZZ in concert, third at the Paradise ... and each show is better than the last. She has never disappointed and whenever she comes back, I'll be back!
An excellent show, no surprise, ZZ is an excellent performer. She had one hiccup in her performance that night, but we all forgive her, she's human... Always an excellent performer for "meet and greet" tickets, her road manager is a great guy, easy going, like ZZ, and very helpful and accommodating, as was the venue staff. If you've never experienced ZZ live, you should, at least once...you won't be disappointed... If you don't know her music, check it out, she's extremely talented!
ZZ Ward and openers were amazing and high energy and had the crowd into it the whole time.
Thanks for an amazing show, ZZ Ward you had the club rockin
I had seen ZZ Ward open for Kaleo in the fall and she was great then. Seeing her headline a show was 10x better! Her opening act Billy Raffoul was incredible and she was amazing! Such a good performance!
All three acts rocked. Would luv to see them again!
ZZ Ward and her opening bands put on a great show! Can't wait to go again!
The opening acts, Billy Raffoul and Black Pistol Fire were great and really got the crowd pumped up for ZZ Ward. She did not disappoint and is great live! I'd definitely recommend seeing her and hope I get to see her in concert again.
Enjoyed the sound and open area of the venue as well has the pleasant bartenders made for a great night.
BPF was insane! Fast, hard rock. Everything I hoped. Billy Raffoul was a pleasant surprise, fantastic Voice. Zz Ward was a bit of a let down. BPF should’ve headlined.
