ZZ Top Concert Schedule
ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.
ZZ Top Background
ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

GREAT CONCERT WISH IT LASTED LONGER SOUND WAS FANTASIC
Being my first concert experience, I was excited and oblivious, as to what the show may hold. Being a ZZ Top fan, I didn't expect these guys to dissapoint, and dissapoint they didn't! The audience was greeted to a loud roar of some of ZZ Top's greatest songs, such as "La Grange", Jesus Left Chicago", and "Gimme All Your Lovin", just to name a few. Since ZZ Top is all about having a good time, I felt right at home. These guys just made the experience so much fun and memorable, it's great to see them play and still be perfectly capable of giving the audience a fantastic show, especially after all these years! I was so tempted to give this show a five-star rating, but I had to settle for four stars on the count of the event center that the concert was held in. Being close to the back doesn't really yield many advanteages, especially when every one, in front of you wants to stand up through the entire show, blocking your view. Oh well, you get what you pay for, I suppose. Next time, I'll have to either get tickets much earlier or pay a little more for better seats. Regardless, the show was amazing! If ZZ Top ever performs another show in Salamanca, I'll be there!
Great performance, however bass and drums were too loud in relation to the guitar and vocals. In fact bass was so loud that it was physically uncomfortable. Otherwise, good show.
My first time seeing ZZ Top even though I bought Tres Hombres when it first came out! These guys still have a great energy and stage presence. Gibbons has a good sense of humor , he said "We finally made it , we're playin' the Casino". They played hard for 90 minutes and then came out and pounded out La Grange and Tush. The small venue made it so there were no bad seats.
ZZ Top always puts on a great no-frills rock show and this was no exception. The casino however is starting to creep their ticket prices up to that other venues, but the shows are typically only an hour and a half long. As George Thorogood put it, they like you to play your bread and butter, and gt off the stage. But in an hour and a half, the little old band from Texas showed why they have been playing for 40+ years.
These bearded talented dudes never grow old! I enjoyed my experience wholeheartedly:)
OMG ZZ Top was Awesome... we had such a great time... they were very entertaining... got the crowd going - singing along with the songs, etc. through in a few "New York's" in their songs... which really got everyone going.... I would totally recommend this concert - being that it was indoors at the Casino made it really great sounding - the acquostics are AWESOME... my chest was pounding from the BASE - turn it up!!!!!!!!!!! I have recommended this to so many of my friends - we enjoyed ourselves so much that we are going back in November to see another concert..........
Had an awesome time, great concert, great venue. I would definitely go to see another concert at the casino. The staff was very curtious as well.
ZZ Top's performance was awesome. I was a litte disappointed that they didn't play longer though. Up until the end of the show, no one was standing. Security came and told me I had to sit down. Who sits down at a rock concert?? Not sure if I will attend a concert at this venue again.
ZZ Top did an excellent job. Great show, great lighting. Would love to see them again!
We had so much fun. The concert was awesome. The people around us were so much fun and the staff at the House of Blues couldn't have been nicer. Definitey woud do that again.
ZZ TOP HAS BEEN AROUND FOR A LONG TIME AND THE SOUND WAS EXCELLENT. I AM GLAD THEY DECIDED TO COME TO CHICAGO EVEN THOUGH THE AEROSMITH CONCERT GOT CANCELLED. THE HOUSE OF BLUES WAS AN AWESOME PLACE TO HEAR THE CONCERT
They played all of their hits and alot of blues and even a Jimi Hendrix song. I love this band and seeing them live made my bday amazing!!!
It was a special night to see ZZ Top perform at a small venue. They played all their hits and really rocked the House of Blues. These guys have such a cool, laid back way of playing their music. The show was fantatic.
Very good show much better than I expected!!! This was the first time I saw them!!
Music was great, Zz-top really knows how to put on a show
They played mostly their old tunes, but that is exactly what I wanted to hear. They brought the house down on several tunes and they showed Chicago they can STILL ROCK!!
great show well worth the money will see next time in town
I have been to a LOT of concerts in my day. My most recent before ZZ Top was two weeks ago. And while I love new rock there is nothing like coming home and they brought it home! Let me tell you the last time I saw these guys was almost exactly 26 years ago. This is not because I stopped liking ZZ Top it's just the world gets in the way of things and like that favorite pizza joint in college you still remember the smell of the pie and the beer you just somehow always forget to swing by and see if the place is still there. Frankly I hope to see these guys many more times before they put down their guitars for the last time. There is nothing like seeing a master at his craft and these guys taught the masters. This show was one of the best shows I have seen in years. And I cannot imagine a better way to have spent a night with ZZ Top. The House of Blues here in Chicago is a fantastic venue. And you are so close to the band it's almost like having them in your home playing just for you. All I can say is these guys managed to time travel. The energy they brought with them took me back 26 years and didn't let go. God Bless guys.
