ZZ Top Concert Schedule

ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.

ZZ Top Background

ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

The Boys from Texas never disappoint! Amazing that they still can rock it after 4 decades. What I want to know is whether or not the beards are real???

  • ZZTop at House of Blues AC 9/19/09

by jdmcq on 9/20/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Having seen a number of concerts over the years at different venues, ACDC, Metallica, Billy Idol, U2, Garth Brooks, Rascal Flats, Toby Keith. I can honestly say that seeing ZZTop at the House of Blues was the best of them all. The venue has great seating and amenities, there is no bad place in the room to be for a show. The band was top notch and sounded great, not too loud and on time.

  • ZZ is on TOP

by Rockininmyseat on 9/20/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

It's unbelievably amazing how three musicians can create this fabulous music for over 4 decades. They didn't miss a beat. They're as contemporary today as they have been 40 years ago. This is true music with roots that are deep. What a show; what wonderful showmen.

  • Solid Show

by Rocker74 on 9/20/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

ZZ Top put on a solid performance last evening at the House of Blues. The set was fantastic with early mateiral from their early albums.Of course they did all their classic hits inter mixed in the set. The interaction of Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill was a nice comedic touch to illustrate how much fun they have performing on stage.

  • ZZ rocked it.

by MarkGShorr on 9/20/09Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

THe show was sweet. Afterwards we were lucky enough to meet the band in the streets of NYC. They did all the classics and some rare ones. They did Jimi Hendrix - Foxy Lady as a cover...

by xxwoodyoo on 9/20/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

These guys are just as good now as they were when they started if not better

  • ZZ Top

by Devan on 9/20/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

ZZ Top started one hour late -- I found that a detraction. ZZ Top's coordinated moves were well done and not over the top Guitars and drums overpowered the melodies -- to the deficit of the concert. Attendees really into the music -- perhaps because liquor sold at the venue before and during the show!!

  • ZZTOP ROCKS THE HOUSE DOWN

  • zztop was great

by unclevincent1 on 9/20/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

The show started too late, too much time between when they open the door and main act.

  • WHAT A NIGHT!

by HARRYSNAKE1 on 9/20/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say? ZZ Top was in top form and really seemed to be enjoying themselves. They played the favorites of course but mixed in some really cool blues and even a Jimi Hendryx tune. It was much better than the last time I saw them 10 years ago. Billy, Dusty and Frank just keep getting better with age like an old Howlin Wolf 45.

  • Awesome Show

by JPaulsy on 9/20/09Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

ZZ Top is amazing!!!!! Still sounding crisp and having fun after all these years. I just hope that I can be half as cool as them when I'm their age.

  • It was great to see ZZ Top again!

by bethpuzzle on 9/20/09Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Great show! I hadn't seen ZZ Top in more than 25 years, and they're better than ever. And it's always a pleasure to see a show at the Beacon.

I saw ZZ Top over 20 years ago in a much bigger venue and they were great!! They still put on a great show. Last night was my husband first time to see them. He loved it. Great show, love how close you can get to the stage for the price of the tickets at HOB.
