ZZ Top Concert Schedule

ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.

ZZ Top Background

ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

  • Good show, nice venue

by Macdaddy on 3/24/25Crown Theatre - FayettevilleRating: 4 out of 5

Enjoyed the show, it was a little short and the sound quality was mediocre. The small venue is quite cozy. The only negative was that people decided to stand for most of the show and seemed to block the view for many. Getting older and would prefer not to stand for whole show. Always enjoy ZZ Top and have seen them in many venues.look forward to the next show.

  • My ZZ Top experience

by Cramlegov on 3/24/25Crown Theatre - FayettevilleRating: 3 out of 5

ZZ Top was always on my band bucket list. I am happy I can now check that off. The venue was nice, smallish, could use refurbishing. Was very hot. We sat in the top row and it was very hot. ZZ Top was great, the music came through pretty clearly some of the guitar solos were drowned out by the base and the drums but could barely hear any vocals. I'm just assuming it's the way the theater is set up. However like I said they were a band I've always wanted to see so I'm happy for that.

  • Grest Show

Awesome performance, ZZ Top is still putting on great shows

  • Great Concert

    by Ray L on 3/24/25Crown Theatre - FayettevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Although Billy Gibbons was the only one from of the original band, ZZ Top did a great job playing all their hit songs. One of the better concerts I have attended in a while.

  • Great classic rock

by Salva on 3/24/25North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Great show from a first class act! You will not be disappointed. The sound and lights were very good and so was the chemistry between them. Definitely see them while you can!!

Billy G and the band were AMAZING! Nuff said! Thank you for a lifetime of great music!

  • Short show, not all the hits

by D Dub on 3/22/25North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 4 out of 5

Casual fan of the band’’s, and these guys still sound great. This said, expect a short show (75 minutes tops) and not to hear all of their hits…I don’t think they played anything released later than 1984 (no “Sleeping Bag”, “Stages”, “Velcro Fly” or “Rough Boy”), and most disappointingly, no “Cheap Sunglasses” or “Tush”. Compared to other nostalgia acts we’ve seen lately (most recently, Air Supply and KC & the Sunshine Band), I’d give them a B-.

  • Still Great After All These Years

by TC on 3/22/25North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Great music and feelings - not like the old days, but an older, slower audience now. Still entertaining and exciting - brings back a lot of good memories!

  • Classic American Band

by GrampaDicky on 3/22/25North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

What an amazing band. With Billy Gibbons still playing like yesterday and being the only original member, it was a great show! Many compliments to the other members for allowing this great band to go on!

  • Won't do another event at the PAC

by Seating is horrible on 3/22/25North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 2 out of 5

If one person gets up to go somewhere the whole row has to get up. People allowed to stand up is ridiculous. Pot smoking inside is absurd. Prices for food and drink is not acceptable. Way to ruin the experience.

  • Great show

by Dollar on 3/22/25North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a fan since high school. It was a fun show and the guys are excellent musicians. Simple, straight forward. Nothing fancy. Just rock and roll.

  • A little boogie with the woogie, please?

by Buddy on 3/21/25The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St AugustineRating: 5 out of 5

First it needs to be said that the McKinley James band was the best opener I have seen in a long time. They just crushed it. Then the Top came on and they were spectacular, sorry we had to miss Frank Beard but John Douglas held up his end. Billy Gibbons was as always a show on his own, and Elwood Francis held up Dusty’s end perfectly well. Still very much the honky tonking, Texas blues rock band I remember. Great show, venue is great love to see shows there!

  • ZZ Top too old to rock 'n' roll

by Leep on 3/19/25The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St AugustineRating: 3 out of 5

Z Top should have quit a few years ago. Their age has not only caught up to them, but left them in the proverbial dust. Guitars were simply a blare; gone are the days of crisp riffs and harmonious melodies. They still "tried"to rock-out, but unfortunately, time has taken its toll. Concert also only lasted 75 minutes, including a lot of talking and delays between songs. Didn't even play all of their best songs. A real disappointment, IMHO.

Show at the St Augustine Amphitheater was great Billy delivered as always Frank the original drummer was not playing drums, & that was not disclosed. However the show was great. & love the Amp as a venue.
