ZZ Top Concert Schedule

ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.

ZZ Top Background

ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

Was great. Miss Dusty and Frank is sick but still a great show. Other than the old farts complaining while we stood up it was awesome. Who can believe you don’t get excited not seeing ZZ Top live!

  • Just feel the Boogie, man

by Bazooka Joe on 4/1/25Caesars Event Center at Caesars Southern Indiana - ElizabethRating: 5 out of 5

All the hits live on a stage where you could actually see the artist without a pair of binoculars. ZZ Top just knows how to boogie. Doesn’t matter whether you’re young or old they gonna make you feel like booging .

This band never disappoints. I love watching Billy play his guitar like the true virtuoso that he is.

  • Great music...horrible venue.

ZZ Top still brings it. They were fantastic. Venue....when your seats are on the floor, they line up each chair directly behind the roll in front. Everyone was moving left to right to try and see. And they were so close to each other, you were squished between neighbors. No non alcohol drinks were available, not even a soda! Just a tiny water.

  • ZZ Top was awesome!!!

ZZ Top put on a great show! The MPAC is a great venue! My only issue is I paid top dollar for 2nd row seats but the last 4 songs they played, people from the cheaper seats flooded to the stage and security did nothing about it. We couldn’t see Billy or Elwood perform??

Parking was way over priced and no receipt at $19.25. Also you should give your customer the option if they want paper tickets, for a photo scrapbook. The band is a rock legend and did a great job. You know you are a rock legend when you don’t have to come up new music and can still have a sold out concert….!!!

Concert was awesome! Sound was great! Opening act was great! ZZ Top was great!! Just not enough hours in a day to play all their songs everyone wants to hear. If you weren’t there, you missed out!

  • Augusta 2025

I have seen "The Boys"many times. Enjoyed the show and the opening act as well. That said, this performance felt rushed and abbreviated. Will always have ZZ Top in my heart.

  • Great show

by Jynxx on 3/26/25Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue. They didn't do a lot of moving around but the music was spot on! We were some of the youngest folks there.

  • It was ok

by Summer on 3/26/25Bell Auditorium - AugustaRating: 4 out of 5

The music was great. Just had a hard time understanding the songs. The band that played before we could understand all of the lyrics. Was a little disappointed that they didn't sing Tush, and a couple other of their best songs. But, for a couple of older guys they put on a great show!

  • Ehh....

by Ehh.... on 3/25/25Bell Auditorium - AugustaRating: 3 out of 5

I just recently went to see Alice Cooper in concert and most recently, ZZ Top. Both men are 75 and 76yrs old. Loved the sparkly costumes and side to side movement ZZ displayed. Threw guitar picks out to the front row and even had a super fan come on stage, BUT....they had a headliner, didn't start until 830p, and there were NO theatrics. Bubbles and a quick bow ended the showed shortly before 10p. Alice Cooper was AN EXPERIENCE. NO headliner and they started promptly on time at 730p. Dancers and theatrics. I enjoyed ZZ Top, but ehh...I don't know if it was worth switching my work schedule to attend?

  • Fantastic Concert

by Ed on 3/25/25Bell Auditorium - AugustaRating: 5 out of 5

ZZ Top put on a great show, as always. Played lots of ZZ classics, at full tilt! Sound was perfect in the smaller setting, due to renovation. Opening act McKinley James was fabulous! Tight set, 3 guys brought energy and great songs. Overall experience was wonderful!
