ZZ Top Concert Schedule

ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.

ZZ Top Background

ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

  • Fun with ZZ Top at the casino!

by CC on 8/27/25Muckleshoot Casino Events Center - AuburnRating: 3 out of 5

Still rocking at 75! Great guitar playing, although the vocals certainly weren’t up to the standard that they set in their youth. I was also disappointed that they only played for one hour when the show was advertised to last 2 1/2 hours.

  • The worst show ever

by jcmhere on 8/27/25Muckleshoot Casino Events Center - AuburnRating: 1 out of 5

It was one of the worst shows I have ever seen. The sound was so bad you could not understand anything they were singing or saying. I have never been in a concert where the audience just sat there and did not move with the rhythm or sing along. My wife and I walked out after the 4th song - we deserve our money back and if I could give this a negative star reading it would be -10.

  • The seating and sound were subpar

by Jaybhere on 8/27/25Muckleshoot Casino Events Center - AuburnRating: 3 out of 5

There was only one person selling merchandise so I was late for seating. The sound system was really poor couldn’t understand what Billy was saying in between songs. The seating was narrow and hard to get your seat without stepping on someone or tripping over someone. The sound system wasn’t very good and it was hard to make out the songs. The performance was great and they deserved a better venue

  • Good experience but not great

by ted on 8/27/25Muckleshoot Casino Events Center - AuburnRating: 4 out of 5

Singing was difficult to hear but not unexpected given their age. Guitar playing was outstanding. Only compliant was that it was very short. 1 hr 15 min with a 10 min intermission. So only an hour and 5 minutes of concert.

  • Disappointing

by Steve on 8/27/25Muckleshoot Casino Events Center - AuburnRating: 2 out of 5

We were very disappointed. The sound system distorted everything to the point you didn't know what song they were singing until about halfway through. You couldn't understand what they were saying very well either when there wasn't any music. They must have had the speakers set for outdoors instead on inside. We heard other people around us complaining about this too.

  • "Beards, Bass, and Big Hair – Oh My!"

by 80's Rocker on 8/14/25Pinewood Bowl Theater - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

Last night’s ZZ Top & Night Ranger concert was like stepping into a time machine powered by guitar riffs and Aqua Net. ZZ Top rolled in with their legendary beards and bluesy swagger, making it look like they’ve been cool since before cool was invented. Night Ranger had the crowd singing louder than their amps—and yes, I still can’t hear out of my left ear, but it’s worth it. Between the perfectly twirled drumsticks, screaming guitar solos, and enough fringe jackets to start a Western revival, this show was pure rock nostalgia. If rock ‘n’ roll had a smell, last night’s concert was it: leather, hairspray, and just a hint of Beer. Five stars, would time travel again.

  • Great show, but who was playing drums for ZZ?

by Mooseboy on 8/13/25Pinewood Bowl Theater - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

First up was Night Ranger, and I've never seen them before. They were always a favorite of mine, so I was glad to see them. Jack Blades and Brad Gillis were in fine form, Kelly Keagy was great on the drums, but when it came time for him to sing Sister Christian… ouch. Anyway, I really enjoyed them. Next up ZZ Top. I've never seen them before either, and I figured I'd better check 'em out at least once before they all pass. The Reverend was in top notch shape, and Elwood Francis did exactly what he needed to do. Man, what a perfect replacement for our sadly departed Dusty. However, Frank Beard was not playing drums with them. And it wasn't John Douglas either. This guy was probably late twenties, early thirties, no chance whatsoever of being mistaken for Frank or John. Plus he's a lefty. So I don't care what Google or Wikipedia says, this guy was neither of those two guys. However, he did a great job, covering all of the cues and beats just perfectly. That's why I'd like to know who he was.

  • Dissatisfied!

by Mike on 8/13/25Pinewood Bowl Theater - LincolnRating: 1 out of 5

ZZ Top was not good! They advertised with Frank Beard but he was not the drummer. They did not mention anything where Frank was. I heard he retired. I think I should get my money back for false advertising! Their sound people were not very good either. They played background vocals and/or music over the guys. There was static and feed back at times. This was literally the worst ZZ Top concert I've been to. Night Ranger was the opening act and they should've been the main act!! They were super! Their sound guys knocked it out of the park! ZZ Top is done. Unless maybe Billy G. Just does some solo gigs or something.

  • Disappointed

by A fan on 8/13/25Pinewood Bowl Theater - LincolnRating: 3 out of 5

Second shortest concert I've attended. 1st act (Night Ranger) could have played longer. ZZ Top only played for an hour and a half or so. When I go to concerts I don't look at a watch. ZZ Top was only Billy Gibbons. I realize Dusty was unavailable. Frank Beard was not there? The music was flawless. However, I felt Mr. Gibbons ended several songs prematurely.

Our seats were perfect for a last minute concert. My kiddo grew up on classic ZZ Top so this was a bucket list to do!

  • Fantastic Night

by La Grange on 8/10/25Rating: 5 out of 5

We saw ZZ Top at Pinewood Bowl in Lincoln, NE. 8/10/2025. Beautiful outdoor setting. Absolutely entertaining concert. We took our teen who is a huge ZZ Top fan and we all had a great time. The moment ZZ Top took the stage in matching sequined jackets, they launched into song after song, hit after hit. They've been playing these songs for years but they seemed to be enjoying themselves, have a charming stage presence and sounded fantastic. They put on a very tight, entertaining concert set. Night Ranger opened for them with an energetic, enthusiastic 40 minute-ish set. It was a little warm but once the sun got lower behind the trees, with an occasional breeze, it was very comfortable.

  • Fine tuned rock-'n'-roll

by KrisMc12 on 7/2/25Molson Canadian Centre at Casino New/Nouveau Brunswick - MonctonRating: 5 out of 5

The tickets were a Christmas gift and the concert date happened to fall on our 10 year anniversary . What a way to celebrate. The opening act was The Wallflowers, what a thrill , amazing!! I'd of been happy to go see them on their own . Well then came ZZ Top . They are hands down a well oiled machine that is so in sync with each other it is nothing but pure magic. They definitely did not disappoint. They were exactly what I was expecting and more . I felt like I was transported back in time and loved every part of it. The clothes, the guitars ,rifts and drums ,the lights all of it . So well tuned into each other all you are left to do is scream and dance and enjoy the show and that is just what we did . We drove from Truro NS to Moncton NB and back home the same day and I would do it again anytime any day to see them again ! Keep on Rock'n !

  • Excellent Show.
