About

Critically acclaimed and multi-platinum band Young the Giant returns with their brand new single "Wake Up". The song marks the first glimpse into the group's imminent fifth studio release, American Bollywood. The new material will be released throughout 2022 as a series of four acts titled: Origins, Exile, Battle and Denouement. "Wake Up" is the band's return from the 2018 album Mirror Master which included their single "Superposition" which reached #1 on US Alternative Charts. Young The Giant was established in 2004 and is comprised of Sameer Gadhia (vocals), Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), Francois Comtois (drums) and Payam Doostzadeh (bass). The band first broke through with their 2010 self-titled debut album, which featured the RIAA-Multi platinum certified hits, "My Body" and "Cough Syrup". This was followed by the release of 2014's Mind Over Matter, which was both a commercial and critical success. Young the Giant continued to brave new themes and sonic landscapes with their wildly adventurous third album, Home of the Strange. The New York Times proclaimed Lead Singer Sameer Gadhia, "one of the great contemporary rock voices." The band has sold out performances at historic venues such as Radio City Music Hall, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, The Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, and more. They have become a festival mainstay at high profile outings such as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Governor's Ball among others.

    AWESOME

by HadleyPaige on 3/27/11Orpheum - Tampa

Excellent show. Go see them if you get a chance. Their music and presence was unforgettable. The first opening band (Yellow Capello) was pretty terrible, but the second band (KITTEN) was excellent.

    Young the Giant = Phenomenal

by Melendrez on 3/1/11Roxy Theatre - West Hollywood

I have been to a ton of shows and Young the Giant is definitely ranked high on my list of fantastic artists. All of the band members had such great energy. Sameer-the lead singer- has an amazing voice live! The Roxy was definitely my favorite venue I have been to so far. It was small and intimate. I loved everything about the Roxy and Young the Giant.

Exciting band playing great music. Very energetic stage presence. Fortunate to see them at a smaller venue like the Roxy because next time they come through, it won't be that small.

    YOUNG THE GIANT=EUPHORIA

by Binzer on 2/28/11Roxy Theatre - West Hollywood

The concert made my weekend! All the band members were totally into their music and their passion was oozing from the stage. The lead singer's voice is to die for. The opening bands: Kitten & We Barbarians were just as great! These are all a must see if they are in your town.

    SO MUCH HEAVIER LIVE

by LucSchutz on 2/28/11Roxy Theatre - West Hollywood

The show was sick. Found these guys on Daytrotter (you should check it out i you don't know what it is), and i liked it so i bought the album. In all honesty, I like the Daytrotter versions of the songs better than the album version because it captures the way they sound live, which is incredible. This band is really passionate about what they are doing.

by klaheth on 2/28/11Roxy Theatre - West Hollywood

This is one of the best shows I've been to! Long time YTG fan, this was my first time seeing them live and they did not disappoint! One of the best sets! Opener We Barbarians was great, saw them open for Cold War Kids in Visalia, CA at The Cellar Door.

    Amazing Acts, annoying photographers

by Synatribe on 2/28/11Roxy Theatre - West Hollywood

Kitten, We Barbarians and Young the Giant did an amazing job at the Roxy. I loved the dynamics of each band. Kitten stood out with their female vocalist and the performance was very powerful. We Barbarians got the crowd going and although initially I was indifferent about the band, they grew on me. Finally, let's not forget Young the Giant, the headliners. Their stage presence was amazing as always. This is my third time seeing them live and I can tell they matured after every performance. I knew them since The Jakes and since then I knew they were going to be big after listening to their first self titled CD that my friend got for free after watching a Metro Station concert. Ever since then I have been to every album release. Whether it was Shake My Hand at Chain Reaction or Young the Giant self titled at the Roxy. It was truly amazing seeing people knowing all the lyrics. Keep up the powerful, inspirational performances. On the contrary, I was extremely annoyed by the photographers. This isnt the first time I went to a concert with roaming photography, but this one female photographer decided to push everyone to the back and stand in the way front. This was bearable until she started taking photos every 2 seconds with 2 different sets of cameras. It was extremely distracting let alone the fact that she kept backing up while everyone was trying to have a good time. Her photography better be damn good. I probably was not the only one who would have like to slap the cameras out of her hands.

    I love Young the Giant!

by Meglo on 2/28/11Roxy Theatre - West Hollywood

The opening acts were awesome (I bought the Kitten CD afterwards) and Young the Giant was awesome! I only gave it a four because they only actually played like 8 or 9 songs and it felt short. But I'm still going to see them any time I can in the future!

Young the Giant Rocked the Roxy!

by Adiroth1313 on 2/28/11Roxy Theatre - West Hollywood

Great band in a great venue. It's rare to see a talented band in such a small venue. Last time I was at the Roxy, I saw Velvet Revolver and they were great as well. YTG was very polished and I can bet they will have a great future

Best show I've seen in a long time. I'm really big on vocals, and the singer was phenomenal. His voice was even better in person than it is on the album! I'm hoping to catch them again in April up in Anaheim.

    Better Than the CD

by Anonymous on 2/7/11The Basement - Columbus

Young the Giant is absolutely amazing live! It was the 2nd time I'd seen a show of theirs. They had so much energy and the excitement of the crowd only added to it. They sound even better than they do on their CD, if they're ever in town again I'll definitely be there!

    Not worth the money.

    by 6TON on 1/29/11The Basement - Columbus

Thnak god the two opening acts were excellent. "Walk the Moon" and "The Pomegranates" made the evening. As for Young the Giant well that was the first time I walked out on a show since Greg Dulli decided to make me wait till 1:00am to start the show.
