Young the Giant are fantastic
by solanajen on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5The magical part of this performance was that the group started in Irvine and have spent many Summers at the fair. We have seen many of their Utube performances in very exotic parts of the world. Young the Giant is our favorite band right now we will be following their progress to the top.

Awesome performance, great venue. First few songs in the set were hindered by excessive echo, but they must have tweaked the vocal levels halfway through because the rest of the set (especially the encore) were amazing. Great cozy and local atmosphere to the show.
Young The Giant was perfect!!
by Annette212 on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5This concert was unforgettable. The energy the band had put me in the mood to dance and sing along. It was great to hear new songs as well as my favorites.
What a disappointment
by BrentH on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 1 out of 5Well, on the positive side, I can say the band looked like they were having a good time on stage. So it must have sounded OK on stage. Out front was a different story. The band sounded like they were playing through a Radio Shack car speaker. You couldn't hear Jacob Tilley's superb guitar playing at all. The bass drum was so mushy, it never got locked in with the bass guitar (which you could only barely hear). Hence, no groove. On the bright side, Young the Giant attracts a lot of very pretty (though totally self involved) blonds who seemed to enjoy talking and texting each other throughout the extremely lackluster set. Thank god the OC fair was included in the price of the ticket. The band only played 8 songs, 4 of which were brand new (and not that strong) before they left the stage. I'm sure they came back for an encore or two, but I wasn't waiting. I had rides to ride.
Young the Giant was incredible!
by ytglover on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5Young the Giant put on an amazing show! All of the band members were totally energetic and you could see their love for their music throughout the entire show. Sameer is such an amazing singer and so fun to watch when he's dancing around! Definitely the highlight of my summer!
Young the Giant Always rock!
by ejayblunt on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5These guys always put on a great show! Ive seem them 3 times and they never disappoint. The OC venue was surprisingly nice. Beautiful venue, lots of food and drinks. I sat on the lawn with includes the OC fair entrance :) My only complaint would be the sound system. It needs more juice to properly reach all the way to the lawn. It was still good quality but I would prefer to walk out of a concert with my ears ringing!!!! YTG ROCKS!!
Great Show!!!
by Ftitanchick231 on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5Couldn't have asked for a better deal!! OC Fair admission great venue I had in my opinion the best seats dead center eye level for a super cheap price. YtG is a great band and they def put a great show and their opening act was pretty solid!!!
Young the giant was amazing!
by AnnieLovesdance on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5They did a very good job on there performance! I could have been a little louder because from where I was sitting it wasn't that loud. They played some new songs which I liked and old ones too! I love going to there concerts and waiting for "my body" to play at the end! Overall it was a great experience!
great show !!!
by bigsmileraul on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5Great show! i have a 17yr old girl and we were both happy to see the show.. Can't wait to see the band again!! The Steelwells were great too!!
young the giant jam session, not concert
by jenndoo on 7/24/12Pacific Amphitheater - Costa MesaRating: 2 out of 5They started off with way too many new songs. The fans need a few favorites before they are able to get into the songs they haven't heard. We listened to the frist four songs that werent familiar and although they sounded good it is just not as fun as when you know the music. The fifth song was a hit song then they went right back to new music. C'mon...you gotta give some familiar music to get us in the mood! We left early because we got frustrated with guessing which song was next and hoping for a familiar one. Still the sound was good and the energy was high.

This show was one of the best I've ever seen. Young the Giant was amazing! I would highly recommend anyone go see them and I will definitely attend one of their shows in the future! I've downloaded all their music and can't stop listening to it. The Steelwells was a great opening band. I was very impressed.
It was Garand haha
by Anonymous on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5I don't know what to say. It was perfect. I've been to 3 concerts; No Doubt with paramore and ths sounds, grouplove with company of thieves, and young the giant with the steelwells. This one was the best hands down!
Young the Giant okay
by Dewmanchu on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 3 out of 5Loved their old songs, maybe was the venue, but their new songs were particularly difficult to make out the vocals.
Young The Giant was amazing!!!!!!!!!
by Lexxis on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5This was a great venue. The ticket price included admission to the oc fair as well as the concert. The band was great, we were there at least two hours listening to great music!!! This is what summer is about!
Awesome Live
by VictoriaElizabethC on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5Young the Giant was even better live than they are on any CD or Radio. Sameer the lead singer has great energy and a clean voice. The sound system at the Pacific Amphitheater ws not the best for this bands choice of mics., but it wasnt the worst either. I loved it they had me dancing and jumping. I would see them again maybe at a different venue that projects their sound clearly.
Great show but too many lights in my eyes
by FrenchC on 7/24/12The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5Both The Steelwells and Young The Giant played great shows. My only complaint is that too many lights were shining into the audience during Young The Giant, often forcing me to close my eyes or even sit down.
absolutely incredible!
by starryhours on 7/22/12Central Park Summerstage - Central Park - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5Young the Giant was totally kickass and exceeded my already high expectations. One of the best shows I have attended.
