dancers were great but a foam nutcracker? really.
I took my daughter (11), sister, and Mom to see The Nutcracker as a girls’ night, and we were not disappointed. The show was magical, the dancers superb! I didn’t know what’s to expect, but the show was just phenomenal. The costumes were gorgeous and the dancers blew us away. Thank you for helping us create a special memory!!!
The World Series Nutcracker Ballet is an absolute delight! The precision and grace of the dancers are truly remarkable, capturing the essence of Tchaikovsky's timeless music. The stunning costumes and intricate set designs create a mesmerizing visual experience that takes you to a magical world. The attention to detail in every aspect, leaves no room for disappointment. From the captivating choreography to the flawless execution, this performance shows the talent and dedication of the entire production team. I left with a heart full of joy and a newfound appreciation for the art of ballet. Make it a part of your Holiday Tradition too.
I loved every second of the “Nutcracker Ballet”. The ballet dancers told the story perfectly! Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of going to this ballet. My dream came true! I will never forget Christmas 2023🎄❤️💚
My mom is 83 years old always wants to see a ballet...so I got the Nutcracker for her Christmas present... dancers were amazing, just the guest around us...she said next time can we sit on the second level...
Great show!! Loved it! This was our first time seeing it:)
The World Ballet Series: Nutcracker was truly outstanding !!! The music was great, my seats were comfortable and provided a great view of the stage, the ballet dancing was spectacular. Of course, the story is so magnificent, and the dancers provided the story to be told by their actions. I will definitely go see this next year. Thank you.
Enjoyed the ballet. A different style than you usually see in sets, they were wonderful - European flair. All the dancers were outstanding!
Ballet and costumes was great but production was lacking several things: 1. No live orchestra 2. No storyline at all of the nutcracker and Clara 3. Biggest disappointment was there was no real, wooden “nutcracker” in the production. Just a flat, unrecognizable piece of foam NOT representing a nutcracker at all. This was not a very educational rendition for the young to learn this famous ballet AND STORY!!!
I wish There were more restrooms in the building. Otherwise, i absolutely loved the show, venue, experience
This was my first ever Ballet and it was mesmerizing! The dancers and production were absolutely perfect.
So I loved the ballet. The actual performance was perfection. But we got there 5 minutes late due to traffic and we were not permitted to go inside for 15 minutes. So we missed the first 20 minutes of the show. Also, I was expecting there to be photo opportunities with a Christmas tree and other decorations and there was none. I would suggest having more for patrons. Also the hall ran out of popcorn so we were put off by that as well.
The showline was beautiful. The sequence and talent was bresthtaking. We had a grest experience. My daughter's asked to go, so we went. They're taking dance lessons and it definitely inspired them afterwards to work hard as the were in awe of the different techniques. Great show. You won't be disappointed
I love ballet and only attended one event, which was local. This one, I loved and enjoyed so much. I watch the Nutcracker ballet often at home and was similar. I took two of my granddaughters and they loved it as well.
The Nutcracker is my daughter's favorite Christmas tradition. Any conceivable performance, recording, TV show, or movie enthralls her. When the World Ballet came to Fayetteville, we had to get tickets. Bottom line, the performance was, no pun intended, world class. The ability to see truly preeminent artists like this was an amazing experience for us. When she was able to have a photo taken with the dancer performing as the Nutcracker toy, she was beside herself with joy. Now, the bad side. Every other time I've been to a ballet, theater, orchestral, or other stage-based performance, there were strict protocols enforced so as nit to disrupt the artists or audience. 1st, the performance started approximately 10-minutes late (I suspect because the aisles were still full of latecomers getting to their seats). The most frustrating part is that after the lights dimmed and curtain went up, for no less than 35-minutes, people were still being escorted to their seats, with no sense of urgency, led by ushers with blinding spotlights it seemed. This was repeated after intermission as well. Normally no one wuld be allowed in after the curtain went up and this should have happened here. I've never seen such disrespect or lack of manners. I am NOT a the (incorrectly) streretyped snobby, rich, theater patron. I am a dad taking his daughter to a rare treat and tradition. This truly enfuriated me. So, bottom line, the show was amazing, but I'll never go back to that venue again.
It was my first experience seeing the Nutcracker and attending an event at the Crown Theater in Fayetteville, NC. The music and dancing were excellent. It was captivating to watch these professional dancers display their talents! I would like to see this ballet again, but not at the same venue. The Crown Theater is not a suitable location for world-class performance. The seats were extremely uncomfortable (mushy seat cushions that sank way down) and close together, which provided very little space—made me feel that I was on a cheap airline. The odor in the theater was unpleasant—it smelled of burnt popcorn. The behavior of the audience was terrible—from the later arrivers (15min into the first act) who blocked our view to those who were constantly moving about to buy concessions, to the small children making noise (their distractions due to low attention spans meant that others were prohibited from enjoying the show). Still, the performance was excellent, but I think I would prefer to watch it online.
Such a great ballet. Beautifully done! We will definitely see this one again next year.
The ballet was outstanding, however it would have been so much better if the entire show was disruptive by people going in and out the entire show. That is very disrespectful to the performers and guests.
The Nutcracker was my first ever ballet experience and I can honestly say it was everything i had hoped it would be and more!! The preformances of the cast and the props were amazing!! The costumes were beautiful...and the energy of the whole presentation just added to the magical feel of the story. Very Well Done!!!
The theatre is horrible. Incredibly small seats. Dirty and ripped up carpets. No organization. The performance was mediocre. No orchestra. We left after 30 minutes.
