WICKED, the Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another girl, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”
With a thrilling score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity,” “Popular” and “For Good,” WICKED has been hailed by The New York Times as “the defining musical of the decade.” Time Magazine cheers, “if every musical had the brain, the heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place.”
From the first electrifying note to the final breathtaking moment, WICKED—the untold true story of the Witches of Oz—transfixes audiences with its wildly inventive story. It will send your spirits soaring to heights you’ll never forget.
This is a must see show. Incredible performance with a great story, music and costumes.
A++++! The Pantages was a treat as anyways. Amazing eye candy. Wicked Touring Company did not disappoint. They gave it all they got in 2 hours 43 minutes. Loved it and highly recommend!
I first saw Wicked in London and was thrilled to find it was playing in LA in the brief few days I’d be in town. It was beyond fantastic… it was FABULOCIOUS!! Bravo to all who played a part in bringing the tour to life. 👏👏💚🧙♀️💚👏👏
First of all love the Pantages, and love Wicked. Love everything about this. The actors, their performance, the venue, it's just an electric atmosphere.
I love Wicked! I’ve seen it now 8 times and I will see it 100 more if possible. The actresses who played Glinda and Elphaba were phenomenal, so talented, so funny, and those voices - wow! I have to say too, the actress who played Morrible was really good, one of my favorites really. Thank you amazing cast!
By far the best musical I’ve seen thus far! This deserves a 10/10 and a must see
As a first time viewer of Wicked the musical, I loved it! Great music, actors, singers, sets, writing, and costumes. Love the diversity of Oz. The ending surprised me.
The musical was fantastic. It look me a while to finally see it but it was worth it.
First time the kids saw it and they were so blown away. Great show to see before the holidays. Making unforgettable memories.
The show was amazing. Loved every minute of it. A must see show…
The show was everything I expected it to be. I'm glade I finally had the opportunity to watch the play with my family.
This is my third time seeing the show and the first time seeing it at Pantages…it was magical! The cast was wonderful and our seats were fabulous! A few tips, arrive early to get your merchandise, use the restroom and get a beverage. We were able to take care of everything before showtime. The lines are extremely long during intermission and after the show.
The show was great. We go every time they are in town. The only issue I had was that when the second act came on the person who sat in front of me was a taller person and I couldn’t see around his head. If it wasn’t for him I would of enjoyed watching the 2nd act.
Great show, but Pantages seats need renovation & enlargement for taller/wider customers
The timing of the Wicked production at the Pantages is perfect with the meteoric popular-ity of the movie. At our Sunday matinee, we were blessed with an Elphaba understudy who had a pair of pipes on her. She was incredible. The Glinda original cast member was a good actress and could hit the notes but didn't have the power behind the notes. That said, they worked and moved well together on stage. The second act is full of Easter eggs for the upcoming Wicked: For Good movie. The intermission is too short to accommodate the number of female theatre-goers who need to use the restroom. Even with three (3) facilities, I was made to miss the first song of the second act. 5-7 more minutes would allow for those who wanted to return to their seats to do so.
The performers did an amazing job and the set was appealing to the eye. The whole show was mesmerizing!
Took my wife, son & his fiancee. The youngsters had just seen the film and were so excited to see the stage show. They were blown away. It was sooooo good. I saw the show in 2007 and 2008, and this production was just as fabulous! Every actor was on point. The audience reaction was fantastic. I’d go again if I could afford it. I found my ticket from 2007 in my copy of the book, and Orchestra seat was $60.
Very good and I loved the humor a must see good for all ages !!
The sound was really poor, and unfortunately this is the third show we’ve seen at the Pantages where this has been the case. There was one small portion of the show (during The Wizard and I, I believe) where it was like they turned up the volume to an appropriate level, and you could heard whispers appropriately, and the closing of the number hit you full in the face like it’s supposed to. For the rest of the first act, it was way too quiet, both orchestra and voice. Whispers couldn’t be understood, and even Defying Gravity lacked punch, despite the former obviously having a good voice and belting it, because the sound seemed to be on 5/10. It’s amazing how sound issues have ruined multiple shows, but that they seem to get it wrong differently every time. I’ve never experienced this at any other theater I’ve been to.
This was my 5th time at Wicked. Was the best one yet. Strong voices, excellent staging, dialogue easily followed. A dramatic & beautiful Wivked!!
