Since premiering at Broadway’s Gershwin Theatre in 2003, WICKED has been mesmerizing audiences and breaking records, becoming the second highest-grossing musical in Broadway history with over $1.4 billion in tickets sold. Composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz and book writer Winnie Holzman’s magical “untold true story of the Witches of Oz” has been nominated for 10 Tony Awards — winning three — including Idina Menzel for Best Actress in a Musical as heroine Elphaba. With a captivating score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity” and “For Good,” the WICKED cast album won Best Musical Show Album at the 47th Grammy Awards, with Time magazine cheering, “If every musical had a brain, a heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place.” In addition to Menzel, the star-studded original cast included Kristin Chenoweth as Glinda, Norbert Leo Butz as Fiyero, Joel Grey as the Wizard, Carole Shelley as Madame Morrible, Christopher Fitzgerald as Boq, Michelle Federer as Nessarose, and William Youmans as Doctor Dillamond. WICKED is also the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history.

Wicked was amazing from start to end. My wife and I laughed throughout the show and we are looking forward to seeing it again in the future.
Very entertaining and funny! Music was excellent. Actors fantastic! Would highly recommend.
Loved it. Great music, great comedy, great energy - one of the best things I have ever seen on Broadway. I hope it runs for another 10 years so I can see it again. Loved the current cast - from trailers I have seen, they may be even better than the original cast!
Very well done - the stage props were fantastic and the cast energetic. This is definitely an event I would see again.
loved it, loved it, loved it would love to see it again!!
I have seen Wicked 3 times now and NYC was amazing. My only problem was that the audience was annoying. From coming in late to munching during the show. The way the audience was I thought that maybe I went to the wrong theater and maybe I was watching a movie that only cost 12-15 dollars. I was just surprised that such a classy theater would allow eating in the theater.
Took the kids to see the play and both the adults and the kids thought it was amazing!!
Such a great show! We saw " Wicked" on Tour in Dallas, but seeing it in the Gershwin in NYC was the experience of a life-time! Our seats were amazing and the renovated theatre is beautiful! This show has it all ... humor, romance, action, and a great message for all ages. GO SEE IT!
Amazing will definitely see again. Good for any special event or just because.
My 14 year old daughter asked for tickets for Christmas so I got one for her 12 year old sister and I. We were third row back and it was an incredible experience for her first Broadway show. The characters were so close and the monkeys were right above us. The music and acting was great. We LOVED it and she wants to make it an annual trip to NYC now!
only one criticism, i had a boy behind me that kicked my chair for 31/2 hrs non stop, and his mother only said he has a problem, i felt she should have gotten a seat assigned to him that could consider that fact, she was not very considerate of anyone else. that was so annoying and the person seating us woulnd't do anything about it either.
We took our daughters to see Wicked on Broadway as a Christmas gift and it will be something they will always remember! We all (me, my husband, and our daughters) absolutely LOVED the show. It was fantastic!!
We were seeing Wicked for the 4th time and it was an amazing show. It seems to get better and better each time we see it. The sets, the acting, the songs and those amazing voices. Plus, we were in the center in row 6. Can't get any better.
The two lead characters were fantastic. Great acting and even better singing. A thorough delight.
This was the best play I have seen to date! The actors and actresses were truly amazing. We had 2nd row seats and felt like they were literally going to touch us. Very entertaining, held our attention the entire time. Would see this play again!
Better than the original! After 10 years, the cast is perfect! Congratulations all! Loved the show. I am still laughing about Popular!
Loved the show. Very entertaining. Great twists on original Wizard of Oz story.
It was amazing. We've seen the lion King, mamma mía and wicked is completely fabulous.
My teenage daughter and I had an unforgettable time. I highly recommend this play and this venue. We'll definitely return to see another play.
