Party to start. Lacked punch lines in jokes.

by Cutz on 9/1/15Arie Crown Theater - Chicago

The DJ was excellent. The atmosphere was fun. Wendy should stay close to her Talk Show format. She is not a comedian and the stories fell flat and lacked punch lines. For some of the more poignant stories I felt like, did I need to hear about that? I don't need to know about the missing tampon. It wasn't funny. Wendy don't destroy your goodwill and fan loyalty with this tour format. People want to see you but not like this. Mk

    Wendy was on Fire!

by Reesiecup123 on 8/26/15Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

We really enjoyed Wendy on tour. The opening acts were also very entertaining. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, dancing, laughing, and hanging on to every word. This tour is definitely for the grown crowd, as Wendy kept it as real as it gets. Loved the performance!

Wendy's part of the show needs a boost to it. Got a little slow at times.

    How You Doin?

by Stangirl on 8/25/15Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

Wendy bought the rawness and realness! I enjoyed seeing her relaxed and telling it like she mean it. She is my friend in my head. Her DJ got the party started. We were dancing in the aisles!

I loved this event so much, Wendy put on a spectacular show and her opening acts were superb as well ! She was funny and raw even more than she is on her talk show, which I didn't even know was possible.

    Disappointed

by PatDC on 8/25/15Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

I expected more comedy in her stories. Most of Wendy's performance were just not funny. Wendy appeared uncomfortable delivering the content at the Baltimore show, It appeared as if Wendy kept apologizing for for the performance. Asking the crowd on too many occasions: "This show is wack or silly, isn't it?" "How am I doing?" Also, she did not appear to be enjoying herself during the tour. Saying things like: "When I am through with this tour, I will burn this outfit." "This is not really me., Don't worry, I'll be back in my purple chair on 9/14" "I am not a comedian. I tell stories." But she was there to tell funny stories for our entertainment.. I look forward to the new season.

by ShawnBA on 8/25/15Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

Wendy's sit down tour was awesome. I really enjoyed her stories and interactions with the crowd. The stage décor was beautiful. I loved the two people performances that opened the show for Wendy. Katy Shotter 's songs and voice were great. The comedian, Roy Wood was funny and the DJ played songs that the crowd loved. I danced and sang and had a good time.

    Wendy Did Her Thing!

by moderndaybeauty on 8/25/15Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

I am a huge fan of the Wendy Williams Show but have not been able to come see her live. So when she added Baltimore to her stop for the stand up tour, I was extremely excited! The DJ got the crowd hyped for the moment you entered the theater. The opening acts were talented and entertaining. And then Wendy made her entrance!!! She did a wonderful set for a little over an hour that was entertaining and very different from her morning talk show. I truly enjoyed her stories and lessons. My only recommendation would be to stop mentioning how different the show was from the talk show. Most people who bought tickets fully understand what we were getting ourselves into. We love you and just do you Wendy! Awesome show!

    Yuck!!!

by DoeChee on 8/24/15DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

I didn't like it at all. My boyfriend and I drove all the way from Charlotte to Durham for that. The show was way too vulgar. I'm not a prude and I have my share of secret stuff. But as a lady, there are just some subjects that you should never bring up. I'm surprised that venues let her do that type of show.

I've just become a Wendy fan. I never listened to her on radio, nor watched her show on t.v. However, for the past several months, I have taped every show, and watch her at night when it's just my time to relax. I love the show, I'm a big fan now. I was delighted when my best girlfriend asked if I would go with her to see the "Sit Down Tour" It was a great night out. We drove from the Charlotte area, we booked a hotel, had dinner before the show, and was excited to see Wendy. We had a fabulous time. Can't wait for her to come back with her new shows this fall. Will watch everyone. You go Wendy!!!! My hat goes off to you in all of your success.

    Wendy was DOIN' it

by TheOdderWheel on 8/24/15DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

This was a different Wendy than I've ever seen! She talks dirty, curses, and dances a bit, which makes her more relatable perhaps than her TV show personality. As she says, she's not a comedian so she's not doing stand up, just telling stories like she always does. Some of them were very funny, I just wish it were a bit more polished in its delivery (if I had to give some constructive criticism). I also would have liked a few more "Hot Topics" to help structure the show, but really it was nice to see something new from her. It went for a long time so definitely worth the money!
