If it wasn't for M.O.P. The show would have been a total waste! Rent Ma and afar Joe was good. The Lost Boyz could have been better. Big Daddy Kane was alright. He was good. Naughty By Nature had too many damn people on stage and they were whack as hell to me. I left.
It was a fun event, but the sound system made it so you couldn't understand what the artists were saying!
Thank you Wendy for this event. It was great to hear REAL HIP/HOP with REAL LYRICS as opposed to the Hickory/Dickory/Dock crap that's dominating the airwaves today. I'm familiar with the venue, so having it there was a plus. Also, it was a nice grown and sexy crowd. I enjoyed the artists but I couldn't help but notice the lack of female MC's outside of Remy and the cameo by Heather B with Mob Deep. Perhaps with the next venue may I suggest: MC Lyte, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Yo-Yo, Bahmadia, Lady of Rage, Missy Elliott, Rah-Digga, Isis, Roxanee Shante, She-Rock, Heather-B. And the following additional male MC's: KRS-1, Dead-Prez, Lord Tarik.
Heyyy, "how u doin?" Since it was WW first block party I give it an 8/10. The Amphitheater needs to have about 15 Big Azz fans through the place & they need to bring down the prices of the drinks! Now to the show. I had been looking forward to this for weeks so I was "Amp'd."
For the most part everything went well up until Naughty By Nature had their extended set. They should have just done their HITS n kept it moving. You would think that the masses leaving the venue would have prompted them to say good night n allow the next act to have some shine. Needless to say my friends n I decided that we had enough. As a result, I am not sure if Grand Puba or Lil Cease ever made on stage. One more thing...i am not sure why Naughty by Nature needed all of NJ on stage with them. I'm pretty sure Big Daddy Kane questioned that as well being that they asked that everyone that wasnt with Kane to leave the stage during his performance.

We saw her in Milwaukee and Chicago and loved both her shows! We watch her talk show daily and it's not "daytime Wendy!" Go in expecting to hear her swear and tell raunchy stories. She keeps it fun and entertaining and who doesn't like seeing their favorite celebrity in person!?
She didn't tell joke, but her stories were hilarious. Definitely not recommended for someone who doesn't enjoy inappropriate situations. You have to be open-minded.
So, Wendy's sit down show...was just a mirror of her talk show but with cussin. She sat down most of the show as expected. She looked just like she looks on tv. The set was nicely done. She told stories of how she lost her virginity, how her husband blows her back out, how her son came in on her blowing her husband, she talked about some current events, she played different songs that have an impact on her life.... She could have kept a lot of her stories. All in all if you like Wendy go see it...I don't have to see her live again. There were several available seats. She started the show late. Her opening act was decent. I'm glad the tickets were just $50 and I feel bad for those who paid $170 for VIP....the show definitely wasn't worth more than $50.
The show was great and got everything according to the VIP staus except the book. Still writing to Wendy Willimams sit down stand up tour for the book. I was advised after meeting Wendy to write to the website but I haven't heard from the Wendy Williams sit down standup. com website. It was a great show and I am hearing from others who attended the show in other cities also whom didnt t get the items according to the VIP seating status. Wendy should give the items that was promised with no questions ask.
I love Wendy but felt that she was trying to hard to be "a badass". It turned me off from her. She didn't need to be so vulgar and detailed to her personal life. You're wonderful Wendy. Don't compete with the Karadshians!
Horrible! Do not waste your money. The show was pointless and had no direction.
I thought it could have been better. I thought it would have been some celebrity gossip, similar to her show. It was NOT like that at all. She just told stories from her life. I had a great time because her DJ was the best, and the opening comedian was so funny, we were in tears.
I had a wonderful time. Wendy was so Funny and Down to Earth.
I already love Wendy from watching her on tv every day. And being able to see her in person was a dream come true. I love her entire show and course the DJ had it poppin' up in the theatre. It was the best night of my life! I LOVE YOU WENDY!!!!!
Wendy was honest and funny! I would recommend the show to other women.
If you are looking for a gut-busting laugh, this is not the show for you. Wendy isn't a comedian, and she says that during her show. She talks about some interesting situations that happened to her during her life and wanted to know if we could relate. If it wasn't Wendy Williams, I would definitely have walked out. But I'm a huge Wendy fan, so I stayed till the end. Some stuff was funny, but you just sat there waiting for a punchline...that never came.
I love Wendy... but she's no comedian. Using a lot of profanity does not make you funny.
Wendy at her best! She was fantastic and very creative and real. Beautiful ambiance, music, comedian
I enjoyed the dj although he could have mixed up the music selections and played more dusties, old dusties, dramatics, dells, chi-lites, donald byrd & the black birds, etc . There were a lot of seniors in the audience. They had no idea about some of the kind of music he was playing. The comedian was excellent. Wendy was ok.!! She was her normal, crazy, cute self. I did enjoy her too. Some parts of the show were kind of slow. But overall, I enjoyed the show.
