I love seeing Wendy Williams in all of her rawness during her stage presentation. It was wonderful to have been given insight in her life from the various stories that she told! Even though I was in a lot of pain due to having had surgery the day prior, I was thoroughly entertained and for a moment forgot about my pain! I would highly recommend anyone to see this show!
There were laughs here and there and I think some of the audience members were expecting rip roaring hilarious jokes. She made it clear that these were just stories....HER stories. Kept trying to keep my focus on her "stories" and not her lollipop figure.
We enjoyed all of the line ups and Wendy's funny life stories, It was like talking with a good friend.
Wendy really says it like she means it. She was raw and unadulterated! Enjoy the show from beginning to end. The DJ was on point and the comedian was perfection. Can't remember the young lady from the UK that sang but she was awesome too. First time at the DPAC. Great venue. Nice seats with plenty of leg room,
The entire show was fabulous. I loved the show from start to finish. The comedian, and singer before Wendy came on really good also.
I enjoyed the show because I was fanning out but I think I prefer "talk show Wendy". She did a lot of cursing that was a little unnecessary, maybe because she was trying to curse properly. Anyway, I got to meet her at the end of the night so that mattered most to me!
Great show, I feel like I know her personally, she always keeps it real
We went to the show for our anniversary... We REALLY enjoyed ourselves. My husband is usually a stick in the mud that will step out of his comfort zone for me and even he couldn't hold the laughs in or hold his smile back. We would definately go again and recommend it to our friends.
The Dj was great and the gentleman that opened up for Wendy was very funny. As usual I enjoyed Wendy.
Roy Wood Jr. And Wendy Williams were hysterical!! Totally worth the money!
The show was great. It was like watching her do Hot Topics, but the stories were about her instead of other celebrities. The pre show performances were awesome as well.
This was not the best production show I have seen. It was a C rated performance and the whole show set up was not professional.
Ivanya Vanzant was awesome. She was inspiring and very motivational. The event needed more signage and organization as to where the breakout sessions where being held etc. This was my first time and I felt it should have been more organized. We were waiting in line for a while before it was announced we need to get wristbands from a totally different area that was far away. Also, no one made an announcement about where the break out sessions where being held. I enjoyed the fellowship with the women at the event. Just some tips for next year, but overall job well done!
The speakers were very inspirational and FUN and energetic! They each had really excellent ideas to share! Very practical, too! And there were so many workshops and booths to visit I wished I were several people so I could take in much more! My only complaints were that the room was very cold, and the music so unpleasantly loud that it seemed impossible to hear the words. It was great fun to see so many doing the Hustle!!
Went last year and will go next year, only reason I gave it 3 stars is because both years I missed the workshops because the keynote & guest speakers were scheduled at the same time. Due to the continuous delays I did not stay for the musical entertainers after the keynote speaker. The sound crew seemed to have some trouble during Faith Evans performance this was also a repeat from last year, another reason for the 3 star rating.
There was a reason why Iyanla Vanzant was the Headliner...she was awesome. Wendy Williams..not so much. She was ill-prepared, looked a hot mess, and seemed annoyed. Zane's sessions were packed. I was glad to see that there were alot more vendors than last year. It would be nice to actually get something/anything in the bags that they give you other than the schedule....you can download that online
I think this was a nice effort to bring in these artists, speakers & seminars. However, it was just too many things going on at once & was impossible for you to make all the seminars. It didn't seem to be too organized. Some of the seminars were not on time & the sound system was TERRIBLE...Could not hear the performers clearly. Lastly, I think this event was highly over-priced. This should have been much less or free admission as it has been in the past. More people would have showed up for the event... The parking was too expensive as well.. Overall, the concept was nice but clearly not organized... Also, nothing was mentioned as far as where these monies were allocated... What charity or cause did the money fund???? Humm******
Negative: Everyone had to had a wristband to enter the venue. The doors to retrieve your wristband opened up late. Then once you got your wristband you had to stand an another long line for the doors to open the main venue and the doors opened up after the Expo was scheduled to start. The panelist for the seminars didn't receive lunch vouchers and their assigned rooms kept changing. Positive: The seminars topics and the panelist for the seminars were excellent. There was a lot of great discussions, questions and helpful information presented. I also enjoyed Iyvana Vanzant (very powerful), the man panelist, and the music entertainment. They all great performances. For the cost of the ticket it was worth it.
The #wee2015 was absolutely phenomenal! Everything from the atmosphere, food and vendors, to the seminars, motivational speakers, panel discussions and fashion shows, to the live entertainment was non-stop excitement. Can't wait until next year!
