i was told i'd have a spiritual experience seeing VNV... and it was a damn accurate description. had to be one of the best crowds i have encountered. the energy was over the top, as was the band's performance. stellar evening. i felt the love.

  • VNV Show, what else do you need to know...

by Erokose on 3/25/10Music Hall of Williamsburg - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

At this particular show, there was some technical difficulties with the lighting, something I have never seen before with this band. Some of the Fans tend to forget what the band is all about and were a bit... pushy. Thankfully, those fans were in the minority. Nonetheless, VNV Nation put on a Fantastic show. I simply can't wait for them to come back.

  • Never a let down

by Starliteoverrone on 3/25/10Music Hall of Williamsburg - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

Again, the most fantastic live band, ever. They played for about 2 1/2 hours and it was non-stop bliss. I would have stood there for days if they would play for that long.

triple encore. Really what band does that today?! Just a great positive vibe from the band and the crowd. Williamsburg has really come into its own. When not drinking was dancing the nt away

I don't go out much, so it was lovely to find a good show based on the recommendations of friends. VNVN had good live energy, a decent light show and set, and taught me a lot about myself and my preferences. I enjoyed the dancing, and if I had to listen to the lyrics for long I'd probably pull my ears off, because I'm too elderly and cynical for such blatantly romantic pathos. But, hey! It's all good - there were a lot of folks there who were obviously deeply into the band and the songs; I'm glad for them. If you've never seen them, it's an interesting blend of the aforementioned and some busy ADD action on the part of the lead singer. The beat is good and solid, I found myself wishing it was louder early on when the vocals overwhelmed the instruments, before they got the mix down.

Another amazing show by one of the most entertaining groups in the Goth/Industrial scene! The guys were in fine form tonight; humor, enthusiasm and great music abounded. Thanks for everything gentlemen, can't wait till you come around again!

  • GREAT SHOW!!!!!

by mSKY on 3/23/10Recher Theatre - TowsonRating: 4 out of 5

Once again VNV NATION played a great show. I saw them at the TLA few months earlier I gave that show a five star. This show was almost just as great.

  • VNV Nation, just incredible!

by BigMcLargeHuge on 3/23/10Recher Theatre - TowsonRating: 5 out of 5

What an amazing show! Ronan really knows how to work the crowd and they bring such an energy that it is contagious. [:SITD:] was unable to make it to the show, apparently due to a visa issue, so VNV played a double set instead!

Just one word: Awesome!! Very great show, VNV is as pleasant to see live as to hear. And they played for more than 2 hours straight! It just was amazing, I wish I could see them again soon.

  • VNV put on a high energy intimate show.

by Reliquum on 3/23/10Recher Theatre - TowsonRating: 5 out of 5

The love affair between VNV Nation and their fans is unforgettable. What other band can preach peace and love and tolerance and still be bad asses? For many people deeply disenfranchised with the messages of the world today, a VNV concert is the closest thing to going to church. A high energy upbeat performance that switches gears from funny to serious to angry to emotional in a heartbeat, yet never loosing the crowd, the concert was a uniquely enjoyable and for many a personal experience.

VNV Nation is always a great time and this was no exception. I love Ronan & Mark and VNV fans are always a lively bunch. Great little venue with a friendly staff.

  • Awesome experience!

The show was perfect! Ronan was great at getting the crowd into the show and getting reactions out of them, while Mark was awesome on drums and didn't miss a beat. The sound was great and the song choice was even better! Can't wait to see them again!

  • I almost cried

by Mansonsbellydancer on 7/31/09The Ritz Theater - Ybor CityRating: 4 out of 5

Wonderful. I danced, jumped, and screamed the whole time. I was so happy to see them. I have loved the band for years and to finally have a chance to see them live was great. Every song that they played was great. Opened with a few new songs. Then went on to their hits. Ronan was so funny when an audience member brought balloon animals and passed them up on stage. He started cracking jokes and I felt like I was a a stand up comic show. Which was not a bad thing at all. He knows how to get a crowd going. They were on stage for close to two hours. I enjoyed the whole thing. I loved them!

  • VNV Nation was awesome!

by willjasen on 7/29/09Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

VNV Nation was great! Their live performances are so moving that you can't help but to dance and move. And if you don't move or dance, Ronan will make sure that you do; even call you out if he has to. We got their early and waited outside for 5 hours. Ronan came out and talked to the around 10 of us that were there. He asked us where we came from and all that. When the show did start, I got front row, as you can probably see by the pictures. Ronan and Mark have amazing energy and can keep the crowd going. There was a small break because of a computer malfunction 2 songs in and Ronan pointed at us and said "There's the Knoxville people" and we were like "No, they (meaning some other people that were waiting in line early with us) are from Knoxville, we're the ones from Johnson City, TN." His remark was just "Us Europeans and our damned geography". Afterwards, Mark went out to the bar, so I waited to meet him, and found Ronan in the parking lot. I asked him for a picture and he ushered me and told me to come back and party with him, but I was like, "I gotta drive 5 hours back to Johnson City, remember?" I will definitely next time. (when he came out early to talk to us..) "You're awesome Ronan!" -some person "Me? No, I suck!" -Ronan Harris

  • Amazing VNV!!

by Muzack on 7/27/09Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing VNV Nation and they were simply incredible! I want to see more...from their lights to their performance. It was flaw-less..truly a great show!!!!!! Aria was AWFUL, couldn't hear them and the songs were boring... awful, J-Pop crap...and the lead singer...needs to stop singing!

  • Absolutely Fun

    by Ray001 on 7/27/09Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

This, my first time seeing a VNV Nation show, was so much fun. They are very energetic performers and interact with the crowd. If you like VNV Nation and haven't seen them live, you really should!
