VNV Nation was incredible! They interacted well with the audience, and even came out afterwards to meet fans and sign autographs. Fantastic concert!
Ayria rocked the show like you wouldn't believe. VNV Nation made the crowd wild and we were able to get them out for TWO encores!!! It was the best concert ever!!!?!!
The band was amazing, as usual, and interacted very well with the crowd. They did a good mix of high energy and mellower songs, as well as new material.
Really awesome show, opening acts were a little bit lame though, but it was worth it to listen to them cuz they led up to VNV nation! My friends and I had an awesome time and danced a lot. The guy is really cool for being an old, bald industrial singer. Very dynamic performer, very dedicated, did like three encores, great show all around.
To experience a band of the caliber of VNV in a small venue like the Showbox, is like being served a triple shot when you expected one. The energy from the band to the audience was electrifying. Frontman Ronan Harris, despite a recent injury that kept him a bit more subdued than normal, connected with the crowd by frequently engaging the audience in humorous chat, leaving you with feeling like you spent the evening with great friends. With 3 encore's and a lengthy good-bye, it was difficult to let go of the evening. It's clear that VNV believe's in delivering a great show no matter the venue size AND they appreciate their fans.
I told all my friends that their last show at the Showbox was incredible and they had to go! All my friends went and they did not disappoint. It was a 4 hour show and left me wanting more! Hope Ronan feels better. He had a bad leg and still gave us his all! :)
What more can be said then Freakin amazing! I can not wait to see them again and to top it off Ayria was amazing as well!
I have to say that seeing VNV nation live was probably one of the highlights of my vacation so far. Not only was the lead singer energetic and melodic, but his showmanship and stage humor made the show so much more enjoyable. You could tell that the band trully enjoyed what they were doing and that they were glad to be on stage. As for the venue itself, the sohjwbox was a large enoughspace and the drink were average to decently priced, the reason fr the four as opposed to the five star review however, was due to the staff. I understand the neccesity for security and all, but truly and honestly these had to have been some of the most rude people I have ever met. I receomend seeing VNV live to anyone who is a fan of the industrial scene, very much so worth the money.
I had never seen them in concert before and unlike other bands they sounded just like they do on their CD's. Ronan has an amazing voice, and is hilarious...haven't laughed like that for a long time. Will definately see them again when they get to our little City again. I love my t-shirt, however women prefer tank tops and would love it if they offer those at the concerts in the future.
That's right mate! VNV Nation played the good songs. I loved the hype up and the audience response to his comeback of more of the never ending light!
VNV Nation is amazing live. Such powerful music, comic intervals, amazing visuals, and a great crowd. Ronan has a great character. At points the entire crowd (bar included) was jumping and/or chanting lyrics. How many bands end the night with the whole venue chanting the phrase "...let there always be never ending light." Ayria and War Tapes were a nice introduction.
Having never seen a VNV Nation show before I wasn't sure what to expect but was really pleased overall with the show. The music was great and Ronan is a hell of a showman. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the encores- its lame when a band only plays one song for 1st encore and then does a 2nd encore- not too mention that they wanted an awfully long damn time to come on for the 1st encore to begin with.
This was the 2nd VNVN concert I've been to. it was a great show - small venue, lots of energy, fans who love VNVN and not there just to go to a concert. Ronan gets really personal with the crowd and seems to be all about the fans.
It was a great show, VNV is great in concert! The opening acts were fun Ayria and War Tapes were both solid and fun. Check out VNV if you get the chance!
The venue was nice and VNV performed well. There was a great energy in the crowd. They put on a fun show. I'd definitely go again.
They were fantastastic. A little chatty; however, I really appreciated his repoire with his cult (fans). I haven't jumped and danced so much in a very long time. Will not miss them again.
