My wife and I played some VNV Nation at our wedding last year. They are that good. I've seen them 4 times in concert and Ronan and Mark never dissappoint.
The show was amazing, incredible, awesome!!!! Their energy on stage rocks! They played almost all of my favorite VNV songs + some wonderful new stuff! The guys are incredibly friendly and nice. We took pics with them after the show as they mingled with the fans....I want to see them again and again and again!!!
VNV Nation outdid themselves. I went to last year's concert at the Janis Landing in St. Petersburg. even though they rocked the house down then, they certainly outdid themselves this year. I was dancing so hard I had an asthma attack at the end and had to change my shirt before I went to the after party cause it was drenched. 8lol8. Anyhow. Onto the venue. No to Ritz! They were angry that Ronin decided to play two yes two songs for their encore. They tried to push people out literally. Plus at $9 a drink I think i would need to sell plasma to go back in their. I wouldn't recommend to go back to that venue. VNV rules!
I loved the energy that was put off onto the crowd. The interaction was amazing. The performance was phenominal, and I could have danced until the sun came up.
The VNV Nation concert at the Ritz Club in Ybor was an incredible event! Both opening acts, Aryia (possibly misspelled) and the War Tapes were very worthy opening bands, providing great energy for VNV to come on to. (Though I would have had the War Tapes go on first) The venue was spacious, with numerous bars and a designated smoking room, which is a big plus to a non-smoker like me. It was nice not to come out of a show reeking of cigarette smoke. The Ritz was very clean, with good security. Great place to attend a show! Sound quality was excellent. VNV Nation put on an incredible set! The opening bands started about 8, and the event did not come to a close until midnight. VNV played for almost 2 full hours, coming back out for two encores, playing a favorite song, "Beloved" as their last song of the night. Go see them, especially if they are in Ybor!
I'm a new VNV Nation fan. I didn't have any of their albums before the show. I didn't know all the songs and all the lyrics. My familiarity with them came from Pandora radio a live streaming music site and I really liked what I heard there so I was excited to see them coming to town. I'd never heard of Ayria, or War Tapes before this night. Both of which put on a good show, but I think Ayria was better and looked to have more fun and emnjoy themselves more on stage than War Tapes. VNV Nation did an amazing show, they came out they talked with the audience, someone was tossing the balloons you make animals out of around so they asked for a double helix to be made. Someone made a hat and tossed that up that each took turns wearing. It was just a really solid, good show. They came back twice for an encore and did a couple of additional songs. They were so friendly and just awesome people. They mentioned an after party at The Castle and fans got a chance to talk one-on-one with a few band members and basically party with them in effect. It was definitely one of the best shows I've ever been too.
Again VNV out does themselves with another amazing show last night and Friday in Tampa. The amount of energy Ronan and Mark bring with them is incredible. I honestly believe if the had a room of 500 dead people (contrary to popular belief Goths aren't dead they are alive and can have fun LOL) they would all be alive and dancing and singing by the end of the night. :) If I had the ability I would luv to see them more then the 2 or 3 times I do every 2-3 years. Ronan one last thing you need to cut that long flowing black hair I think it gets in your way when you are singing. HAHA
the show was at "the masquerade" in atlanta and it was pretty cool, the warm up bands were ok. vnv nation was kick ass as expected. the overall experience was good. the venue had some technical difficulties and had to stop the show for a second but vnv were able to entertain regardless. CRAZY DRUNKEN IRISHMEN!
the best of the best of industrial music. A big charisma on stage
I saw them play at Studio A, Miami, Fl and last night at The Culture Room, Fort Lauderdale , Fl & it was again a outstanding performance by VNV. The band doesn't just make sounds with their electronics, they make inspirational music and one that really relates the human in us, bringing closure and peace is what they mainly create. The set up was great and very powerful just like their CD's, Ronan voice was spectacular like all ways and the drummer. Great venue place and great crowd, the band VNV doesn't seem to slow down anytime soon. I encourage if you haven't listen or have seen VNV live? go and buy their cd and check them out life, awesome again on my second time seeing them live...Peace
Despite the small size of the Culture Room, VNV manages to put on such a good show that you forget you're squeezed into a room like a packed sardine and swapping sweat with at least 20 people withing 3 inches of you. It's exactly what the perfect concert should be like. Dancing, sweating, screaming, and an amazing time. Especially for an old lady like me that doesn't get out much. The opening band Ayria was very good, but War Tapes was simply awful.
Venue was great! Crowd was great! VIP section was even better! I had a great time! Will do this again and again.
This show was really awesome. The band who opened, War Tapes was a winning pick. They rocked and got you ready for the main event. When VNV Nation came on stage it was alive. Ronan, quite the chatty fellow that night, was so energetic. I've seen VNV Nation live before, but this was definately the best show yet! They are by far my favorite band and definately my favorite band to see live! I loved this show!!!!!
I have seen VNV four times now, and am never disappointed. They have such energy and put on such a good show every time. I really love the way they interact with the audience..
I have to say that concert was the best concert i've been to so far... it was amazinig and i would definately recommend it. VnV Nation, Ayria, And War Tapes were amazing
service was great. the ritz has upgraded alot. i had a great time and vnv was awesome!!
They had great crowd interaction and kept the energy level very high.
Awesome concert! IT was an added bonus to see Ayria preform live! She was also awesome! Excellent intro to the band! first several minutes of the concert the lead singer was trying to inroduce himself and the band, but beach balls and ballons were a big distraction, but they had fun with it. The band was in great sync and did not miss a beat. The crowd definately got int the beats, lots of dancing! The Ritz is a great Venue for concerts. its very spacious, clean, well maintained, and has a lounge to go to when you don't want to listen to groups like "War Tapes". One thing to keep in mind, they are using what look like large JBL horn driven line arrays hanging from the ceiling and they get extremely loud! I highly suggest ear plugs for those who want to keep your hearing. Either someone was not trained very well to mix concerts, or there was not enough power going to the line arrays. There was a lot of distortion on the high notes. Overall a great venue to go to, I like it better than the state theater or Janus landing.
Brilliant and engaging!!! Loved the set list. Played old and new.
