Amazing show! Great set list, amazing energy, we had a blast!
Great lighting, great vibe, great crowd work. Upbeat and moving. They played for quite awhile, too, almost three hours after the opening band. I didn't even realize all that time had passed.
VNV Nation really care about their fans. They go out of their way to make sure everyone is having a great time during their performance. The music is great, and so is the band playing it!
This show was perhaps the best concert I have ever seen live. VNV Nation was on fire that night. Great combination of crowd, venue, and performance. I only wish there was a show like that every week in NYC!
These guys are even better in concert than the CD. I've never danced so hard at a concert before. The opening act, Straftanz, was good also. This show rocked, and the fan base was so wide, it was fantastic. The sound quality was superb and Ronan's voice is just as great as on the recordings. I'd recommend this show to anyone.
The music was amazing. They really focused on crowd participation and making sure everyone has a great time.
Brilliant energy... what a night! We got there early and were on the floor close to both groups. I hope they come back again soon!
The absolute best concert I've been to in a long time. Great energy , Great venue.
VNV Nation has always been a favorite of mine! I had watched several videos on YouTube so I could get a perspective on how they perform live. And they totally exceeded all expectations! Absolute blast! Can't wait to see them live again!!
And they always put on an excellent show! This one was no exception, fantastic set list and the energy of the audience was unbelievable.
Amazing show! VNV Nation always puts on a great show.
VNV Nation concerts are in a class with few others. Those others: Pink Floyd, Roger Waters - The Wall, House of Pain, and Catherine Wheel (no longer around). The show was high energy, inspirational, intimate, and all around fantastic. Ronan and Mark did a superb job of interacting with the crowd and getting us involved. And, the music is some of the best in modern times. Straftanz, the opening act, were also impressive as performers.
I have seen them twice now and both times they were fantastic!
They are great in live performances, good humor, good charisma, good lyrics, and very energetic music.
The show was excellent. VNV nation is better live than on the album! The sound quality was great. The venue was also very good, the balcony is by far the best view. The band had a wonderful attitude and the crowd was really into the show. Altogether a perfect performance.
1st time seeing VNV Nation live, although I have been a fan for years. I was amazed at the energy level of the show, as many of the songs I like by them are more melodic than energetic. Roman and the rest of the band put on a great show and got the audience participating through the whole thing. Will go see them again next time they are in town. Excellent Show!
I have seen VNV Nation live so many times I have lost count. What made this time special was it was the first time my sister, who is autistic, was old enough to come with. VNV Nation has been her favorite band since I introduced them to her 8 years ago. It was also the first time my boyfriend saw them live too. So ... we get there 20 minutes into the VNV Nation set .. sorry Straftanz .. thanks to having to leave late. As soon as we walk in, the crowd was going nuts. I was more focused on finding the bathroom then what the first song was. As soon was we found a place to stand, Epicenter started. From there they played about 3 more songs. I spent the majority of the time watching the joy on my sister's face because the night was all about her. My boyfriend even started to dance .. and he is one of the most stoic people I know. We ended up going to the other side of the crowd so we were not having to let some one through every 30 seconds and I was able to let loose with the little room I had to move and I danced. The place went dark and people started to leave. I smiled as I grabbed the arms of both my sister and boyfriend and said "Just stand here." They listened .. and as a few more people cleared out we moved up. VNV Nation took the stage again and as soon as I heard the first note .. I squeeled and grabbed my boyfriend so hard he almost fell over. Beloved is my favorite VNV Nation song EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nova followed (which is now my BF and my song). My sister was dancing and smiling so big .. and of course VNV NATION was impeccable. There is something so refreshing to see a group at that caliber, who not only puts on a great show, that can laugh at themselves and have as good a time on stage as we are on the floor.
Drove from central Florida to Atlanta, GA for this show. I can honestly say it was worth every penny of the trip and the long ride both ways. Would certainly make it again!
VNV Nation always puts on a phenomenal show. The fans are extremely devoted, and Ronan is brilliant at engaging the crowd and building an awesome atmosphere. Masquerade is also an excellent venue with a lot of character.
A bargain price for a Hope Diamond show. VNV played well over 2 hours for the closing show on the 2011 tour. Playing songs from previous albums and songs from the newly released album, "Automatic", they kept the crowd moving and singing along for the whole show. Not only that, they came out after the show to sign autographs for the fans. My whole entourage will try to catch at least one show when they return to the U.S in February for part two of their U.S. tour. Great band and great show!!!!
