A Definite "Victory".

I missed them the first time they came around to the DC area, so I was determined to catch them up here in Baltimore. I had a blast that night, and everything from the stage setup, the crowd atmosphere, and of course Ronan an co. made for a great first impression. They sound spot-on live; as good as any recording of theirs, and often better. They also know how to engage their audience and see that they get into the show (and have a laugh at times too). My only regret is that I wish I had more space to dance, but a packed crowd is nothing to nitpick about. If you're a fan of Industiral, Futurepop (I think Ronan hates that word even though VNV kind of created the genre lol), Euro Trance, or other music in the same vein it's definitely worth the time. If you've never heard them live before and you're a fan, then I suggest getting to it.
On a side note, the opening act Straftranz was a blast as well. I had never heard their music before but they did just as good a job as VNV. Their singer has a powerful voice, and the programmer had some great grooves from time to time - there was more space on the floor for that show, and their darker sound was honestly a bit more up my alley. Absolutely recommend the as well.
