The show was amazing! VNV performed and Ronin brought tremendous stage presence and audience participation. He got the crowd going and the energy was electrifying. They played then performed 2 encores. Each encore was 4-5 songs. I lost count of the total number of songs but they rocked the house for 2.5-3 hrs. Best show I have ever seen!!

Fantastic show. Substantial emphasis on crowd participation. They really seem to care about their music and their fans.
Amazing as always!
by Anachron on 12/15/11Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5VNV Nation never fails to astound, bringing a positive and fun vibe to Atlanta every time they tour. They mix deep and powerful emotion in the music and lyrics with a humorous and hopeful outlook in the witty banter with the crowd. The end effect is one of unity and joy.

Moving, thoughtful and uplifting show. I look forward to seeing them again in 2012.

Don't hesitate to see VNV Nation
by n0stalgia on 12/14/11The Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5I've listened to VNV Nation for years but this was my first time seeing them live. These gentlemen seriously deserve our support. What the *@&#D is wrong with our radio stations in the states? $20 a ticket. VNV Nation played for almost 2 1/2 hours with 2 encores. When I say encore, I mean they came back and each time played several more songs. Oh and there was an opening band Straftanz who were pretty good in their own right. Seriously...20 bucks...I've paid a heck of a lot more for shows that were not half as good as VNV Nation. These guys feed off the energy of the crowd and the more you give them the more they give back to you. It was an experience I won't ever forget. VNV Nation will make you feel they are there for YOU. That your night with them is the most special night of their life as well. The sincerity they express during the course of their concert makes you believe and really takes you to a whole nother level. Run to see them the very first chance you get. I swear you will not be disappointed. I would recommend VNV Nation to anybody who loves MUSIC. I cannot recommend them high enough. The Masquerade as a venue was not the best imo but I went to see VNV Nation, the venue honestly made no difference at all. The music was perfect and I'd dare say they are even better live than on CD. The small venue made the experience even more personal. I'll be seeing them every chance I get from now on.
VNV Nation NEVER disappoints
by loviatar9 on 12/14/11Trocadero - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5You'll always enjoy a memorable show @ VNV Nation. Ronan engages the crowd totally, unlike some performers who have a memorized routine. The opening band, Straftanz, was also lots of fun! A perfect compliment to VNV. To VNV Nation, Straftanz & everyone who was there, Merry Ravemas!!

This was my second VNV Nation concert and it was just as good as the first. The group doesn't disappoint when it comes to choosing a variety of their songs, and they're all very personable and love crowd interaction. Can't wait for the next one!
Energy! Intimate! Amazing!
by Monicapanik on 12/13/11Trocadero - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5The venue is tiny, felt like I was in someone's house. Not a bad seat in the house. For a "synthethic" band VNV sounded incredible. The vocals were perfection. VNV nation are so engaging. They made sure the audience was having a good time, asking for participation. I trully felt that band was making eye contact and genuinely cared about the audience. My husband who is not familiar with industrial/goth music was very pleasantly surprised at how positive, friendly, and endearing the band was. And their music.....there are no words the DRUMS AMAZING! the power the words. Wonderful Show definetly recommend everyone see this band live.
Best energy from a live show!
by Charrua13 on 12/13/11Webster Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5Industrial/EBM/Synthesis Pop live acts are generally tough to gauge: you can't tell how well each musician is playing their instrument, the vocalists generally focus on what they're saying versus how well they're singing it, and often times there just aren't enough to musicians on the stage to create any real presence or energy on the stage. VNV Nation, thankfully, is not one of those acts. Ronin, the vocalist, is one of the most energetic front men I have ever seen on a stage. He constantly engages the audience, is funny, quirky, very charismatic, and most importantly, conveys the energy, meaning, and intensity if his songs. The band behind him interact with him accordingly and provide a solid musical backdrop to Ronni's performance. The musical performance varies song to song, either being very true to the original recording (for newer material, generally) or with varying amounts of live interpretation for their older material. Most of the time, the changes are to accentuate lyrics or inject energy into the show. On rare occasions I'm disappointed by these interpretations, but most of the time they're spot on and add to the song's overall performance. However, the best part about going to a VNV Nation concert is the audience. They are dedicated fans that love what they hear. With Ronin's prompting they sing along, chant, cheer, and dance along with the music. At some shows, especially general admission ones, crowds are mixed bags: there are people who are cool and respect others, and then you have drunk people who often act, shout, dance or moshI and chant with no regard to others. These individuals are generally people you have to tolerate in order to enjoy a show. After seeing over eight VNV shows, the audience on way occasion tends to be supportive, engaging, and full of energy. Most importantly, they are also in love with the music. Their love and adoration is potent and can be felt by even those who are not fans if the band or even the genre. The audience adds to show, gives the band the extra energy to perform, and makes going to a VNV Nation show an enjoyable concert experience. I highly recommend for those who enjoy the genre, for those who wish to be entertained, and especially for those who love the band.

by konbon on 12/11/11Webster Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5I have seen VNV perform live several times, and never is there a dull moment with this band. They are amazing, give off so much energy, and love their fans. You will be moving, singing and nothing else will matter while you're at this event. They always interact with the fans and always give their all at a show. Do not pass them up, go see them!!

VNV and Straftanz made for a sick show!
by Hexentanz on 12/11/11Webster Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5A lot of fun and energy from a small venue, and the openers Straftanz were def as fun as VNV. If you haven't seen VNV Nation yet, you don't know what you are missing.

by Yukawa on 12/11/11Webster Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5I have never seen such an eclectic crowd for a live show..I guess this says a lot about the artists...Great feeling! I never saw VNV before and was really surprised by the energy they conveyed... Also the first part Straftanz was fantastic and established the perfect mood before VNV. Just go there people!!!
