  • VNV Narion gets better as the years go by!

by LadyZombie on 5/20/14Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

VNV Nation has been around for a long time, and the music, voices, everything - it just gets better and better. I can't wait to see them again when they return to NYC.

  • VNV Nation was phenomenal and surreal

    by PJHusker76 on 5/19/14Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

You won't find a frontman move side-to-side on a stage with more synergy and passion than VNV Nation's singer and songwriter, Ronan Harris. While just about all of us in the audience had to take a break from moving after a few songs, Harris went the entire night with only a few short breaks. The music and words produced are so profound they've literally changed lives. To go along with his witty antagonism to get us moving throughout the show, he emphasized his appreciation for all of us. It definitely felt like a family-oriented atmosphere. This truly sets VNV Nation apart from every other band is through their genuine appreciation and grace for those of us who are fans.

  • Amazing show!

by Avnvfan on 5/19/14Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

It was my first time seeing VNV, and I was definitely impressed by the energy. Ronan made the show alot of fun with his sense of humor and determination to interact with the crowd and to get everybody moving. There was a good mix of old and new songs.

  • Just Amazing

    by Darth62969 on 5/19/14Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

ok for starters the opening act, WhiteQube was actually pretty good. He suited VNV Nation well and got the crowd going with alot of excitement like he an opening act is supposed to. now there were few issues with the show itself. none so major that it would keep me from loving the show. the first is that both the opening act and VNV went on late. WhiteQube at 8:30 or so and VNV at 9:45. the doors opened at 7. the other issue was audio feedback. no not constant loud screeches of ear splitting feedback, though there were a few minor ones, but more of a constant wail coming from a mic or 2 during the latter part of VNV's set. this issue i believe was a little venue related and by no part VNV's part. now for the part y'all were waiting for. VNV Nation put on the best show i have ever seen. few bands can fill a room with so much excitement and play to the fans as well as they did. Me being one that does not dance and does not really get into concerts much at all, i found myself "jumping when they wanted to see jumping" clapping when they wanted to see clapping and just outright enjoying the show. but i'm not the only one that got into it. i dragged a friend along for the ride. he is incredibly smart and incredibly socially impaired. i have never seen him dance, i have never seen him really enjoy music, and i guarantee that he has never been to a concert outside of maybe the symphony. i dragged him to this concert as a sort of mind game to see his reaction, and well i think he was enjoying it just about as much as i was. i have never seen him dance or smile listening to music. he did both. i think i will drag him back next time. now back to VNV's show, the band has a sense of humor unlike some of the other bands i have seen. a few things they did was make a joke about piracy and the fact that "end of days" is actually "Further," and then they burst into short reference to Boys of Summer... Also my favorite part of the show. then at one point in the show at the start of the first encore they gave away a signed keyboard/synth from an old/early tour. They played many of my favorites and quite a few from their new album, TransNational. Outside of the aforementioned feedback, all songs were well played and very enjoyable. they had a good mix of the new and old. they started with something from TransNational, then did one of their more popular songs. then about 3 songs in they cracked a joke about how some people come to their shows for only illusion then played it. they played more from TransNational (joked that the audience did not know the songs YET) then played more hits followed by one of their old old songs. more hits and more stuff from TransNational. in all i was very impressed with the show and the band, the personalities and the energy. i would have to say that this was the best show i have ever seen. i have newfound respect for VNV and that hunch that this was a show that i did not want to miss was rightfully satisfied.

  • VnV Nation, Hippie/Goth <3

by GypsyJack on 5/19/14Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

VNV played a really amazing show at the masquerade. It was the most love I've ever experienced at any show let alone "Industrial/Goth" show.... I believe we are dawning into a new area here in Atlanta especially the era of the Hippie Goth... the finally stage of goth. People think goth is all about death which is false. IT IS ABOUT REBIRTH AND LOVE

  • VNV was GREAT!

Best electronica show I've ever attended! Will Recommend VNV to anyone!

  • A momentous occasion!

by Mcbreezy on 5/18/14Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

A night full of dancing, laughter, and positive vibes! No, this is not a jamband review. This is VNV Nation. A band that brings hard hitting electronic music. I found myself mesmerized and in tune with every song. This was my 7th time seeing the band live. Every show is special, but this particular one was soaring! VNV Nation never holds back in a live performance. On this night, their range went nearly full spectrum. It was a long set list, and at the end, despite my body being soaked in sweat, I still craved more! We are only human though. I couldn't have asked for a better time. As long as this band continues to tour, I will be there in a heartbeat.

  • Amazing Show!

    by Mo0411 on 5/18/14Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

VNV Nation is very well known for their highly energetic shows. This show was no different, and was every bit as exciting. Ronan and Mark were very interactive with the crowd, which is not something you see in many concerts! They grabbed an audience member's cell phone and continued her recording from the stage point of view! Must have been truly unforgettable for her. Not a dull moment throughout the show. Even songs that the majority of the audience did not know were enjoyable, as crowd participation was encouraged. Finally, the opening act, Whiteqube, was excellent as well. Their highly energetic stage performance, marked by their hypnotizing light effects certainly set a good mood for this show. We should be on the lookout for them to break out onto the scene soon. Overall, great show from one of my favorite bands, and I cannot wait to see them again!

  • VNV puts on an amazing show!

    by Jane80 on 5/14/14Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

And this one was no exception. I don't know how they do it, but they create an atmosphere where it is simply wonderful to dance and sing and feel all the feels that their music makes. Profound lyrics, and Mr. Harris is a brilliant, brilliant man...

  • Fantastic concert

by elizzabethby on 5/14/14Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was simply amazing! VNV-Nation really rocked! Great energy, great performance, really nice to the public. One of the very best concerts I've been to for sure. The concert was pretty long, and that felt really great. Everyone was dancing, jumping, singing, and enjoying themselves. I'd go see VNV-Nation again. Bowery Ballroom was a pleasant surprise too- no lines, no fuss, everyone was pretty friendly. The layout is great there for concerts like this, as there is always opportunity to be closer to the stage or go to the bar, or downstairs lounge.

  • Greatest Concert Thus Far This Year

by HaruMimi on 5/14/14Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

It was wonderful, I was debating a bit and was a little upset I couldn't go for Saturday but two of my fav songs ever were played on Sunday and made it worth everything! I also got to make my boyfriend happy :D! Wonderful!

  • Absolutley Awsome

by GnosticVampire on 5/14/14Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

My first concert in 25 years. This group ,which I found on an internet music provider, is now a group I listen to constantly. This concert was an atmosphere of human high powered energy. The performers were utter perfection with a palpable love of their fans. The lead singer was charismatic and had a voice that was a solid beautiful, like a pristine marble pillar, who also knew how to communicate to his audience and ignite their hearts with true passionate belief and dedication to the ideals the lyrics praised.

Great Show. The energy of the band transferred to the audience.

  • VNV Nation blew the place away!

    by Diabolic77 on 5/10/14Royale Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

There was nothing I did not like about this show! VNV Nation put on an incredible concert, playing songs from as far back as 1998! The venue was a club rather than a stadium and it was small and intimate. I was shocked it did not sell out. During the after-party, the musicians made themselves available to fans and simply mingled in the crowd. Absolutely awesome night in Boston!

  • VNV Nation Never Disappoints

by Reyvolver on 5/10/14Royale Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

VNV Nation was awesome. They played a mix songs from their career along with new ones fromnthe new albumn. I also love the Royale as a venue. Great show.

  • Amazing Show!

by VnVK on 5/8/14Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Ronan puts on an amazing performance! Constant energy, interacts with the crowd on an individual level, gives you shit if you aren't having fun, encourages crowd participation, asks us how we're doing, and then gives some of the best speeches i've ever heard a musician or human being period make. I would see them again and again. We also got to meet Ronan, very nice guy, signed our ticket and told us to take care and have a good night before we left.
