South Carolina Gamecocks Women’s Basketball History
The South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team is one of the most prestigious programs in the country. Legendary head coach Dawn Staley has built a perennial powerhouse, making South Carolina one of the elite teams in women’s college basketball year after year. In her 17-year tenure, Staley has led the Gamecocks to 13 NCAA Tournaments, winning three of them including the program’s first in 2017. Additionally, South Carolina has won nine SEC regular season championships and nine SEC tournaments, and has appeared in 15 Sweet Sixteens and seven Final Fours overall. The Gamecocks captured their second National Championship in 2022, then went undefeated (38-0) for the first time in school history en route to their third title in 2024, followed by their fourth National Championship game appearance in 2025.

South Carolina Gamecocks Women’s Basketball at Colonial Life Arena
The University of South Carolina Gamecocks play at Colonial Life Arena, an on-campus venue that opened in 2002. The arena holds 18,000 for basketball games. Besides being the home of the Gamecocks’ men’s and women’s basketball teams, Colonial Life Arena hosts the South Carolina High School Basketball Championships every year.

this was our first trip to see a basketball game and we will be going back!! The tickets were not too expensive and the entertainment during time outs and half time was fun for me and my 8 year old son. It was a nice event for the family and didn't break the bank!
We had an excellent time watching the USC Women's Basketball Team beat Missouri. The Arena is very nice, parking was easy and affordable. Facilities were clean and the seats were very comfortable. We will be back!

The game was outstanding and the entire team was hustling and making plays to keep me on the edge of my seat. I sort of wish Arkansas put up a better fight. I know the lady gamecocks want to get back to the finals and get a crack at a championship but I still think they are lacking one or two pieces to take on the likes of UConn.

This was an exciting game with two great basketball teams. The venue was great. I arrived early to ensure I could get a parking spot in one of the garages. My plan worked. I was in walking distance to a variety of restaurants and met a friend for a bite to eat before the game. Of course the fact that my team won made it even better.

First time to watch the USC women's basketball. Not only are they fun to watch, the crowd was great. The arena was packed and everyone was so into the game. Really fun night. Will definitely be back!

Excellent! The energy of the fans, band, cheerleaders and team was amazing. Easy parking, E-Ticket very convenient, general admission seating was perfect, time outs were entertaining, exiting the parking lot was simple. Best ever they won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Lady Gamecocks rule! My husband and I moved to the Columbia area in July. We are fanatics about basketball and we have thoroughly enjoyed the women's games that we have attended. At $7.00 for General Admission tickets, you can't beat the price for seeing the top-ranked team play ball.
Attending a South Carolina basketball game against a ranked opponent is a great experience. The atmosphere is great! The vibe is awesome! It's hard to explain. It's something you have to experience first-hand.

The game was awesome. Seats were perfect. Convenient with the ticket right on my phone. It made it an easy senseless process. Overall a great family night.
