Music and choreography was fantastic! High energy performance- hope it comes back!
I was quite impressed with the Ballet as well as the music/band. Nicely done. Cheers!
This show was perfect. The TCB's interpretation of "The Wall" was so well done, I am at a loss for words. The band did such an amazing job it was like I was listening to Pink Floyd live. This show is one for the ages, and hopefully, we'll see more of it in the future. Fans of classic rock and ballet all coming together for a truly moving experience. I can't think of any better way to enjoy a night out. Thank you, and well done TCB and Run Like Hell!
The lead dancers were exceptional, graceful and poised. The entire troupe did particularly well and we very much enjoyed this show. We will plan to attend again and are looking forward to the next opportunity to do so!
It was my first time going to a ballet with my girlfriend, and I enjoyed the experience. The performance was very graceful, seating was comfortable, and I enjoyed the flexibility the staff had with food and refreshments. Although I wish there were more options for food and snacks, it didn't take away from the overall experience. Both my girlfriend and I left happy and satisfied.
The dancing was very good and the costuming was outstanding, loved the topiaries and peacocks and hedgehogs!!!!! Really a delightful evening.
We have been to many performances of this group over the years and feel this was the best yet. The choreography was improved over an already high standard and made for an excellent experience for all ages. The standard of dancing was excellent from the Principals through to the Corps De Ballet.. As always, the performance was well staged.
The Twin Cities Ballet Nutcracker has become our family's Christmas tradition because they put on a wonderful show every year. The Ames Center is a great performance space simply because there are no bad seats due to the way it was built. You get a great view of the dancers and the entire production from any angle and level. The price of the ticket makes it absolutely 'value for money' and accessible for a whole family to enjoy.
I brought my 9 year old grandaughter to the Nutcracker for the Sunday matinee. She has been acting out the motions of the mice ever since. I have had the beautiful dancers in my dreams. Three years ago I went to the Nutcracker at the State theater and that was magical, as well. The two were very different but equally as good!
A Minnesota Nutcracker was warm, endearing, emotional and energetic. The scene was incredibly festive and set in late 1800s Minnesota. The ballet talent represented on stage here was phenomenal, especially the pas de deux with the Cavalier and the Sugar Plum Fairy! My heart was pounding at the end followed by tears of happiness at the talent and emotion behind the dance!
The show was very well done from the sets to the costumes to the dancers themselves. We particularly liked the "minnesota-ization" of the Nutcracker theme! This could very easily become one of our annual Christmas traditions!
Family in back of us in the second row was talking and describing the action to their young kids for the entire first act. It is little wonder this countryis now based on apologies rather than appropriate teaching. Performance was great. Money spent on costumes and set made the show grand.
Twin City Ballet is terrific! I have recommended to many!
We attended the Coppelia Nouveau in Burnsville and loved it. The dancers were superb! I would recommend it! From the little girls in their tutus to the older dancers, all were very good. The two main dancers were exceptional.
A cleverly envisioned new approach to Coppelia. Well danced and staged with great costumes. Denise and Rick did a wonderful job. If you know Coppelia well advise you to read the program description before watching to help follow along this interpretation. A lovely evening.
The MN Ballet troupe's performance of The Nutcracker was outstanding! Great for the entire family. I would highly recommended this performance.
The Ballet was amazing! All of the talent involved in the show did a fantastic job. The venue was very nice and the seating was comfortable
It was my first time there. I hadn't expected there to be so many young dancers and it was a little distracting from the professionalism of the adult dancers. I do recognize that these young dancers are also very talented and they were also vital to the story, I guess I just didn't expect it. I also felt the first half was a little lack luster compared to the last half.
The venue was excellent and the production showed commendable effort from a local ballet company. Great show for family and kids but not for ballet-critics. Definitely worth the price.
I highly recommend seeing any performance by The Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota. Their dancing, gymnastics and funny antics are creative for the whole family to enjoy. If my 20 year old son enjoyed this, so can anyone.
