  • Great to be back!!!

by Lene on 9/20/22Roy Thomson Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It truly felt like a festival! There was plenty to see on the closed off street that didn’t require buying a ticket to a film…stars on the red carpet, TIFF Lighthouse, signs for selfies, outdoor viewings, food trucks, pop up stores and more! We brought the kids down and roamed the streets, took great photos and felt the excitement of being with the stars! And finally, did see a film… Looking forward to next year!!

  • Experience Was Bad

by Joi on 9/20/22Visa Screening Room at Princess of Wales Theatre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

The experience was bad, wasted the ticket since I was not able to get in. I arrived late 25 minutes late, the guard said they will close the gate at 6:30 pm and I was there at 6:25 pm yet they still did not allow me to get in saying that the screening had just started. The ticket does not show that the gate closes for late arrivals. A ticket should have indicated the time the gate will close.

  • Could be better run

    by J on 9/20/22Scotiabank Theatre Cinema 12 - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Not enough details as to how things work. As usual You gotta search to find info on where to stand. Information dissemination could be vastly improved. Volunteers do try to help but their confusion is equally frustrating

  • Great experience

by Tony Troubles on 9/19/22TIFF Bell Lightbox Cinema 1 - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Red carpet event. Only thing I’d suggest is to have the red carpet area more secured for pictures. Felt that was over crowded. Aside from that everything was above expectations.

  • Well run

by Dilligaf2u on 9/18/22Visa Screening Room at Princess of Wales Theatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

We lined up around the corner and a block north thinking wow this is going to be a nightmare! Pleasant suprise the line moved quickly and the volunteers updated everyone as we progressed. Once in the Princess of wales theater tickets scanned and well rehearsed attendant's shepherd attendees to the correct spot. Viewing was prompt with a minimum of fanfare and a very disturbing subject matter. A q&a with Sarah Paulie capped off the screening with a controlled exit. Well done

  • Good films, miserable experience getting tickets

    by K. C. on 9/14/22TIFF Bell Lightbox Cinema 4 - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Getting tickets was a nightmare. So many films just looked as if they might be available, because they didn't have the helpful Sold Out sign at the top. So I wasted 5-10 minutes hoping to get through. I finally book two sets of tickets for three shows. They all turned out to be good. But something went wrong with my phone when I arrived Sunday for two shows. So of course, I couldn't access my tickets. That meant I had to stand in line at the box office. Mirvish sends paper tickets with bar code. Why can't TIFF?? We're not all attached to our cell phones. May not bother next year. It's a headache.

  • Amazing Gala experience

by B. P. on 9/11/22Visa Screening Room at Princess of Wales Theatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was meaningful to have the cast and director, producers and real life people on stage. The movie was touching and a real testament of courage and strength and determination.

  • Outstanding!

by AP on 9/17/19Scotiabank Theatre Toronto - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic movie about women exploitation, the challenges women change agents face in their daily lives from factory owners, at home from their spouses, society, and bureaucracy. Well done!!

  • Could Have Been...

by Baldwin on 9/16/19Roy Thomson Hall - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Fine acting by Woodard snd Pierce, as always. Yet, the writing was flaccid and lacked the nuance and depth the subject—and the cast—deserved. A disappointment if expectation.

  • Phenomenal

    by Abfab911 on 9/15/19TIFF Bell Lightbox - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Very rarely in life do we get the privilege of finding aspects to film that completely move us to our core - movies that resonate beyond what we know, what we think we know or understand of the human condition. 37 Seconds is a movie, that for me, moved me completely out of my skin. At times it was emotionally uncomfortable, difficult to process in my understanding and coming to terms of how people with “different abilities” navigate through the complexities of life. This movies succeeded in setting out what in intended to do. As with every year at TIFF, I had an opportunity to see some incredible films this season, but for me, 37 Seconds was one of those films that completely captured the true essence of what TIFF stands for in film. How blessed do I feel that I was able to shake hands with the beautiful, incredibly talented HIKARI...thank you for giving us a film that will not only change the way we feel and see the world for those with different abilities, but also change the way we treat one another in this world. I cannot give this movie enough praise.

  • Belle Epoque

by Erika M on 9/12/19Scotiabank Theatre Toronto - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent and fresh story, beautiful film with superb acting.

  • Amazing portrayals

    by D. B. on 9/11/19Scotiabank Theatre Toronto - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I was impressed by Felicity Huffman's unfettered portrayal of her character. She left it all out there - it couldn't have been done better. Anastasia Phillips also did an excellent performance as her daughter. The storyline was very real and I felt all the emotions. This was an amazing experience. I highly recommend it.

  • This movie was so good!

by Emily on 9/10/19Visa Screening Room at Princess of Wales Theatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was amazing to be at the world premiere of the movie and to be seeing the movie for the first time while the cast was also seeing it for the first time.
