Phenomenal
by Abfab911 on 9/15/19TIFF Bell Lightbox - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5Very rarely in life do we get the privilege of finding aspects to film that completely move us to our core - movies that resonate beyond what we know, what we think we know or understand of the human condition. 37 Seconds is a movie, that for me, moved me completely out of my skin. At times it was emotionally uncomfortable, difficult to process in my understanding and coming to terms of how people with “different abilities” navigate through the complexities of life. This movies succeeded in setting out what in intended to do. As with every year at TIFF, I had an opportunity to see some incredible films this season, but for me, 37 Seconds was one of those films that completely captured the true essence of what TIFF stands for in film. How blessed do I feel that I was able to shake hands with the beautiful, incredibly talented HIKARI...thank you for giving us a film that will not only change the way we feel and see the world for those with different abilities, but also change the way we treat one another in this world. I cannot give this movie enough praise.
