TIFF was a nice event that brightened up early September. Was able to see celebrities up close, super cool experience.
The Toronto International Film Festival was well organized. I liked that there were fan zones and more importantly, a rush line for fan zones since you had to scan a QR code a day before whatever red carpet you wanted to see and register there. I liked the rush lines for the fan zones. It made me feel included. I did not like the prices of the films themselves. Talking about the Special Presentations and the Gala Presentations. I used to attend these in the past and it did not break the bank but now, the films are over $300 per film. Yikes!!
I really enjoyed my experience at TIFF because it felt so festive and fun! Leading up to the movie was a smooth experience,e and people talking about the film and hearing others' favourites was really fun!
My experience with The 50th Toronto international film festival . It was an honour to be able to see Canada and Toronto for the first time and it was a blast ! I got to see several really good films and even the first few episodes of a series. It was interesting seeing several different films from different in a different country and culture that I am used to. Winter of the crow, the first few episodes of A Sami Wedding, Frankenstein, Dead Man’s Wire, ARCO and A Rental Family. Those were what I saw and I enjoyed all of them, with my favourite being Frankenstein and A rental family at a close second who I got to witness a Q&A with director Hikari as well with the cast and crew of Winter of the Crow and A Sámi Wedding. All of whom were very interesting in talking about the process. However I wasn’t a fan at how they showed some of the films on IMAX screens because the films weren’t designed for IMAX so it does give a bit of a disorientating effect . However overall I thoroughly enjoyed the festival and Toronto .
First time at the festival and first time in Toronto, it was a dream and really well organized , got to see 14 movies and I’d definitely do it again.
Having joined TIFF, I was offered some packages early on, all of which were very expensive except for tickets to People's Choice screening which I purchased. Then had to wait for ticket sales. Process was difficult, no easy schedule and access to tickets. Nevertheless I was able to purchase tickets to 2 films. It was fun to go .
I missed seeing many of the buzzy movies but still enjoyed the ones I did watch. It proves there is no shortage of great movies at TIFF
This was my first Tiff experience and I will be going again next year. I had so much fun and there were so many things to do. Will be going back throughout the year too actually.
Loved the red carpet vibes..saw the celebs up front..movie homebound was great! Sholay experience was amazing!
It was a pleasure attending TIFF 50th anniversary. I got the chance to see Mamoru Hosoda's Scarlett at the Royal Alexandra Theater. It was amazing and wonderful watching this movie on TIFF. The staff and the guests were nice, warm-welcoming, and approachable. The fans were astonishing and it was such a masterpiece watching the movie. It was breath taking watching this movie especially if your an anime fan. The room for improvement would be to ensure that there is a rush line separate from the main line in this venue so there is no confusion. It was worth watching this movie on the big screen. The volunteers and the staff were accommodating and approachable especially where I had any questions or concerns, they would do their best to answer.
