  • Great production!

by Proud Grandma on 3/3/19Coronado Performing Arts Center - RockfordRating: 5 out of 5

The performance was absolutely wonderful, but I’m a little prejudiced as granddaughter is part of the production crew! But in all honesty it was a great play and well attended. It was great to see so many children getting to experience musical theatre. The restored theatre in Rockford is spectacular, a must see.

  • Loved it!

I think it was an awesome show. I would recommend going and seeing this show. I thought the casting for this show was spot on. My favorites were the scarecrow and the lion. I would love to hear lion sing again!!!!! The only thing I wish was different was that I had brought my 5 year old to see this too.!!

  • Well cast, great effects, fun choreography

We were incredibly impressed by this show! The way that the effects were handled for the tornado travel to Oz was magical! It was well-acted, the songs we're great in the choreography was joyful. Great theater experience!

  • The Wizard Of Oz

by Witted1 on 3/3/19Coronado Performing Arts Center - RockfordRating: 5 out of 5

It was great. It was a little darker than the movie, almost Grimm fairy tale like. I did miss the yellow brick road. It was in the background but not on the floor. I lived how Glenda arrived and also the hot air balloon.

by Pete on 2/22/19Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

The productiin was excellent and my grandkids and i tbroughly enjoyed ourselves. The only negative was the sound system, it was difficult hearing the cast members.

  • Spending time together

by Grandma on 2/20/19Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

My granddaughter who is now 22 and a brand new baby have gone to a play once a year since she was in middle school. We have never had a bad experience, Wizard of Oz included. Always quality shows. Thinking about buying season tickets next year.

  • Great time spent with my daughter

by Mom of Teen girl on 2/20/19Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

My daughter (age 13) and I see most shows that come to our area, we really enjoyed the Wizard of Oz, wonderful performance!

  • Wizard of Oz

    by W. on 2/19/19Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 4 out of 5

The performance was well done and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I was slightly disappointed that it did not have live music accompaniment as it really enhances a Broadway production. The venue is not a particularly clean one- they really should not permit food inside the performance hall. Thank you for offering this production to our area.

  • The wonderful wizard of Oz

    by G. on 2/19/19Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

The performance was excellent and the length was great too. Only suggestion: I’m not sure kids under 3 or 4 should be allowed or maybe there should be a section designated to families with young kids. The kids in front of us were in and out of their seats and talking a lot because they couldn’t sit still. Great overall experience and parking was a breeze!

  • Worth the trip

by PennyD on 2/19/19Saenger Theatre New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 4 out of 5

The performance was worthy of driving 4 hours to see. The only problem I had was that no Playbill was available.

  • Outstanding

Good performance by all. Hats off to Cowardly Lion as MVP.

  • Amazing

by Amie on 2/19/19Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

The show was spectacular! Funny, sad, exciting, and all around perfect. Also at the Chrysler Hall the staff there are so amazing, helpful, and really pleasantly friendly!

  • Childhood fav

    by M. on 2/19/19Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 3 out of 5

The show was overall good. The costumes play a huge roll in the overall experience and I think they could have been better and more like the movie (ie scarecrow, tinman, Glenda & the munchkins). The theater could use a paint job on the way to the balcony seats. Various large white spots on the wall... in the seating area where you pay more for your experience.
