IS A FAT DOG HEAVY, HECK YEAH THE WALLFLOWERS WERE AWESOME, SO AMAZING DEF CHECK THEM OUT IF YOU EVER GET THE CHANCE
The Wallflowers sounded great. They played everything (almost). Wanted to hear Bowie's Heores and the Difference but played everything else. Nothing flashy but very solid Jakob Dylan sounded great. Hope they come oiut with some new material. Peace
What a neat setting for an outdoor concert.....love the Atlanta Botanical Gardens anyway, small intimate setting for concert, The Wallflowers were terrific! Enjoyed the concert so much. The weather was perfect too...not too hot or humid!
It was a lovely evening - good friends and a nice dinner at a Thai place close by. We sat fairly far back so the acoustics were poor and not really able to see the performers. Not a Wallflower fan but enjoyed being exposed to their music.
Jacob Dylan will be a legend of his own just like his father. They put on an amazing concert and sounded great!!
Good show. Great material. Seeing them or anyone in the Garden is the best place.
The SunTrust summer series at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens is truly one of the nation's best. The outdoor beauty, hospitality and comfort of this event is second to none, And Jakob Dylan and his excellent band were in fine form on this tour stop celebrating the release of their greatest hits CD. Opening with "Sleepwalker," Jakob threw out some sly and lazy vocals that at first reminded me of his Dad. But when he kicked in with the powerful choruses we knew he wasn't fooling around. All of the hits were there and it was "One Headlight" at the very end that got the mostly over-forty crowd standing up out of their folding beach chairs for the first time where they would remain until the show's end. And Jakob wins this year's award for the best line heard from the stage. Commenting about the pond that stood in between the stage and the crowd he said "They finally got the moat clause in our rider right.!
Excellent concert performance by The Wallflowers. The fans were a bit too noisey in the back.
Awesome venue for a concert!! Wallflowers were terrific. I have to admit I didn't know any of their new songs but they were great!!
The concert started out slow -paced and mellow. Jakob Dylan was interesting to watch, but didn't have much repoire with the audience. He did turn it on at the end and everyone was on their feet, and then silently packed it up and went back to the hotel. I can't say enough about the venue...awesome, but puh-lease do something about the people that bring high-backed chairs!
Rock solid gig, location, atmosphere...band was on their best game - crowd a little subdued at first but got into it at the end.
Saw them last night at atlanta botanical garden. They palyed 19 songs and the atmosphere as well as the band were amazing. Great night for all in the family listening to the greatest hits from the Wallflowers.
I"m an old time fan, so it was great to see these guys back together after so long. The show was mellow, intimate, they took requests, and we even met them and got autographs after the show. Nice bunch of guys! They should release a NEW one!
First of all, I love the Wallflowers. I think the songs are well written and the tunes are rhythmic. Second, the setting was perfect ! The venue held about 2 thousand fans on lawnchairs or blankets. It was awesome to see these talented musicians up close and personal again. The lead guitarist is spectacular !!! While the tempo changed a little, as live performances do, the sound was exactly the same as you hear on the CD's. I LOVED IT !!!!
First time visiting Atlanta Botanical Garden...Great show...Great venue...Great weather made for a great evening.
Botanical gardens is beautiful and a great setting for concerts. The Wallflowers were amazing - their performance was awesome. but the crowd was very boring. Really didn't give the Wallflowers their due. Seemed an older crowd and not enough in the audience really their to rock out to the music or even who knew the words to the music. Very disappointed. Seemed like the real fans were stuck way in the back. I was near the front and the people around me were just sitting there or talking to each other just not really getting into the music with any enthusiasm. Definitely not singing along or dancing until near the end and by that point a lot of the non enthusiastic people had left so the people that were really there for the music were left to dance and sing along and actually enjoy the rest of the show.
good show. should have spread out their hits throughout the concert.
This was a great concert in a smaller venue, they couldn't have sounded better. They played a set list pulling from all of their albums, since they didn't have a new cd they were pushing. They rocked most of the night, but got pretty mellow acoustic for a few songs mid-show. Jakob had great banter with the audience which was amusing. The guitarist was excellent!!
The Wallflowers are an amazing band that will deliver an unforgettable concert. The opening act is forgettable but the wallflowers really put on a good show. They have a deep pool of good music that they play from and Jacob Dylan is as dynamic and amazing as ever. My only disappointment was that they did not play my favorite song, 'The Difference' but I can't expect everything every time.
The Wallflowers were fantastic....tight, sounded good, Jakob Dylan put on a good show in his comments to the crowd. In addition, the drummer and lead guidarist were superb as well.
