Matt Nathanson is a folk-rock singer and songwriter from Lexington, Massachusetts. As a solo artist, Nathanson has released 13 studio albums since launching with his 1993 debut, Please. His fifth album, 2003’s Beneath These Fireworks, served as his first major label release, though his 2007 follow-up, Some Mad Hope, achieved his first mainstream chart success behind the Hot 100-charting single “Come On Get Higher,” which would later be certified triple-platinum. Nathanson would hit the Hot 100 twice more with “Faster” and the Sugarland collaboration “Run” from 2011’s Modern Love. He also reached a new career peak at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 for 2013’s Last of the Great Pretenders. In 2022, Nathanson released his 13th album, Boston Accent, capping a prolific run of three full-length releases in three years. Nathanson’s music and extensive covers catalog have appeared across film and television, including The Bachelor, One Tree Hill and the American Pie franchise.

A great time all around! Nice venue, Matt and Matt were excellent. Very engaging and talented. Hope to see Matt Nathanson again!
Matt is so talented! Not only does he have a plethora of albums and songs to choose from, but he’s personable & hilarious. He’ll tell you some great stories and jokes and then sing the hell out of his songs. The wheel of song is great too / long live the wheel!! If you’ve never seen Matt do yourself a favor and go - the guys will like it too!
Matt Nathanson never disappoints. Attending one of his shows is always a great experience. You’ll laugh, sing along and will never leave disappointed. This was our first time at this venue and we had excellent seats. I certainly would not want to be directly in back of the mixing board though. Not sure how they could see at all.
Has to be the most I've ever laughed at a concert...he's hilarious! The venue was great for it, but it's really sad when a 12oz beer is like $15. We all know the true cost, so seeing alcohol prices that high at a venue is a huge negative for me. I don't even want more than 1 or 2, but that on top of the $20 parking in a MASSIVE, empty parking lot is just another reason to avoid The Sound if possible.
Matt Nathanson and bandmates put on a wonderful show! Lots of energy, laughs, tears (poignant songs) - I'm so glad I went! Highly recommend anytime he comes to your town.
Matt never disappoints, another fantastic show. He is so funny and entertaining and of course is a great singer/song writer. The venue was really cool and intimate. Easy to park and get in and out of. It was a little strange to watch a concert sitting down the whole time. If you have the opportunity to see one of Matt's shows, you shouldn't miss it!
His voice was wonderful and he was quite funny and very entertaining, loved the show and band mates!
Every show Matt Does is amazing! Always different. And I always leave looking forward to the next one. Weather it’s the next day or next year. He never disappoints :)
Great tunes and fun vibe! And the Uptown Napa is a beautiful venue. Hope to catch another show the next time he tours.
Matt Nathanson is a very talented singer, songwriter, musician and lyricist, but you shouldn’t go to his concerts just for the music. His ability as entertainer is every bit on par with his God given musical ability. You could go to his show with zero knowledge of his music and have a great time.
