Professional musicians and well orchestrated. Didn't know most of songs. Played a lot of newer ones. not familiar. Kinda blah.
Fantastic! First time seeing them live. They did a lot of familiar and new songs, too. Great mix. Wonderful sound system!!!
Overall good show. Loved the unspoiled opening act Adam Ezra Group. Appreciated their being in the moment and daring to go acoustic accapella!!! GREAT STUFF! Really like TheWallflowers, sat in the balcony. Only complaint is the Mix was totally off. Vocals were too loud drowning the music at time. Frequent attendee to shows at The C. B. and it’s not the first time a show has had mix problems. Not sure if the sound check people visit all areas of the theater?
I was looking forward to hearing Wallflower’s songs from the 90’s. It’s certainly understandable that they wanted to play newer music. However, it would have been great if they played 2 new songs and then an older one, etc. Jake Dylan should have realized the crowd was sitting quietly during new songs and standing for the older songs.
I saw them in Huntsville, AL and they are amazing. Even after all these years, they are still great.
What is it with the reviews of this show? Jakob never said he was THE TALENT!! He actually called the Lighting Kid The Artist and that he was in charge of the show!!! And he only stopped the show twice!! Why do people feel the need to fabricate lies?? Now Taylor for anyone who reads this is my Daughter and has an onstage friendship with him since she's 6 years old!! This show was on her 13th birthday and Jakob knew she was in attendance because she was right in front of him!!! He does this to her at every show!! Now the lighting KID was told at soundcheck what the band wanted a spotlight on Jakob and Dimmed background for the band. For some reason the KID went off on his own and had spinning lights going on until Jakob said something During 6th Ave HeartAche... Then again right before When Your On Top when Jakob understandably lost it out of frustration!!! This band could possibly be the best set of musicians that he has gathered on stage since Bringing Down The Horse!!! Anyone who has attended Wallflower shows here in the last 10+ years would know what Jakob plays so for those of you that complain about songs or setlis's or why it took 45 minutes to come out would know this is the Norm for this band!! Just a Great show from a bunch of Great guys!!!!
Great Show from a great bunch of musicians!!!! People posting bad reviews of this show have no idea what went on at this show!!!!!
They band came out late, started singing and then Jacob Dylan started belittling and arguing with the lighting tech - not once, but 4 times. This isn't something paying fans want to hear or see. There was also someone named Taylor in the audience who had a birthday. Super sweet that Jacob acknowledged it, but then it kind of took over and he was saying her name throughout the concert. It was really annoying and overkill. I would have also liked to hear them sing their songs and not a bunch of covers of other artists songs. When they sang One Headlight - they tried singing it differently. Not interested in that at all... sing it how we remember it! I have read posts of other people who attended and they have said the same. Really disappointed. Won't ever see them again.
Same thing at a show in the PNW that I attended barely a year ago, over the stage lighting and belittling the staff of the venue for it. He was also so rude to a fan in the front of the audience over something to do with his dad/Bob Dylan. Jakob we've stuck around for you, you went from making a name for yourself despite the family name, but now years later you're using it to act like you're a big deal and upset your fans and mistreat those working to provide a great experience for us. When I saw him he was quite worried about entertaining his fan-girl Paris Dylan (wow imagine that, using his last name after screwing over the NBA star for her own fame as a MINOR) who's following him around any chance she gets, while also being in a so-called committed relationship with the American Pie dude Don McLean. It's quite gross actually, Jakob sings to her pretty much every song, and they're hanging out before and after. Really makes me lose respect for him, actually. Her social media gives hints and has shown this. He needs to grow up and show some class.
Shud stay as an opening act for matchbox 20...not very entertaining.
What a fantastic show! My second time seeing the wallflowers live. Jakob Dylan is such a great front man. He has such a natural charisma. The music is just perfect! The band is so tight, and every song sounds amazing. I would definitely go again and will when I get the chance.
We’ve been fans from the beginning but have never seen them until now. They did not disappoint! A fantastic show!
Super great venue! Did valet parking and was wonderful. Wallflowers were SO good! Jakob adores his fans and plays to them. This was my 5th time seeing them and I will continue to see them. Prices were very affordable and since I’m 70 years old, on a fixed income this really made the event even better!
It’s hard to find good rock these days but the Wallflowers still carry on! They were awesome live and now I’m returning to their catalog online. I now have a “Wallflowers” station!
Jacob Dylan kept arguing with the lighting engineer. Ruined the entire mood. He came off as a self-centered musician. The Vibe was just bad, left early.
We love this venue as is small/intimate — bummed couldn’t go to the SRO floor area at this event as allowed in prior events. Jakob Dylan and Wallflowers were great.
I was really turned off when Jacob Luke stopped the show multiple times to tell the lighting guy he was doing things all wrong. Isn't this something that should be corrordinated before the show???
The first set was only about 5-6 songs and then they take a 45-minute break? What is up with that?
The Wallflowers repeatedly stopped the show because the kid running the lighting board refused to set the lights the way the band requested. He should be moved to a different role in the company as he had no idea how to run the lights. The Wallflowers, being the professionals that they are, endured 90 minutes of darkness and finished their set. Bands should seriously consider finding alternative venues in the area if Gila River doesn't amend their policies.
