    Great show. Audience stunk.

by Mike on 1/15/19Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

The show started on time and many people showed up late causing the first 15 minutes to be distracted. Kids couldn’t see anything, etc. otherwise the show was fantastic.

    The book brought to life!

by MELPOMENE on 5/23/18DR2 - New York

They did a phenomenal job bringing all of the books to life. My niece enjoyed it so much she had a permanent smile on her face all the way home. It was wonderful to hear all the children joining in with the actors while they recited the books.

    Wonderful Show

    by Teagan1 on 5/21/18DR2 - New York

Let’s just say my 11month old sat for the whole entire show in his own seat. He laughed and clapped. Not one single fuss even with the screaming 3 year old behind us that cried for 20mins straight. The cast was wonderful and the puppets were awesome. Great show!!!

    Best Show Ever! Amazing!!

by Mslarevalo on 4/26/18DR2 - New York

I appreciated this show so much. My son is autistic and he struggles with social interactions, and this show was absolutely accommodating, no one shushed him, and he was able to express himself without judgement. And it so happens that the Very Hungry Caterpillar is one of his favorite books. So I appreciate the members of the show so much, because they really made his day, week, month and year. I was a wonderful surprise for him. Thanks again to the staff and performers of the Very Hungry Caterpillar show! You guys are rockstars!!

Very Hungry Caterpillar Very Good for Kids

by Anonymous on 4/16/18DR2 - New York

Want to introduce your child to the theater with familiar content but in a short burst? See this. Kids are welcome to recite the words to the titular piece (and they will) along with the actors on stage. Great puppets, great story, and there are autism-friendly shows. Downsides: no stroller parking and one bathroom.

Great for my 2 1/2 yr old grandson & granddaughter

    by 1gdegg on 4/10/18DR2 - New York

The puppetry and acting were excellent! This is a wonderful opportunity for young children. The black box theater is comfortably small, and everyone can see (sitting on laps is allowed). I would recommend not bringing a stroller because cars can drop you off right in front or very near the entrance to the theater, and strollers must be stowed just inside. At the beginning when the tiny lights covering the ceiling dimmed, many children were apprehensive, but soon they were transfixed on the performance. Of course familiarity with Eric Carle's 4 stories will help children get the most excitement from the performance: Brown Bear, Brown Bear; 10 Little Rubber Ducks; The Very Lonely Firefly; and last, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. These are classics for good reason! Definitely go!

    Lovely show

    by Emkap24 on 4/10/18DR2 - New York

Overall a great experience, loved that it was smaller and intimate, just the right amount of time for a child. I’d say around 18 months - 2.5 yrs. is ideal age given the simplicity of it. We really enjoyed!

    Perfect for Toddlers

    by Amella1121 on 2/22/18DR2 - New York

This show was a perfect first show for our 2 year old- I’d said 2-4 is the perfect age for this. The puppets are big and bright, really well done. Just long enough. He’s already asking to go back!

As my girl said, Best Show Ever!

by BoGaga on 2/14/18DR2 - New York

Took my granddaughter, almost 3, on Sunday. Small audience so not intimidating to little ones. Beautifully done with colorful actor-held puppets that look just unreal enough to not be frightening. She sat there with her mouth open until I closed it a few times and I got a bright smile every time. This from a child skeptical about going because she was frightened of the Sesame Street Show one year ago. No one told her Cookie Monster was really 6 foot tall! After Caterpillar, she proclaimed it ‘best show ever!’ ..then said with a flip of her curls, “I want to go again, but next time I want to pick out what I wear.”

Perfectly mesmerizing for my 3 year old

by Theeib on 1/30/18DR2 - New York

It was our greatest delight as grandparents to watch our three-year-old granddaughter mesmerized by this show. Beautiful, colorful, non threatening paper like animal puppets play out stories by Eric Carle. The way the actors move in synch with the animal they are portraying is fascinating. We will go again

My almost 2 year old loved it!

    by Ally56 on 1/25/18DR2 - New York

Only a 55 minute show but well worth it after seeing how happy it made my little one. I am still smiling thinking about the multiple shouts of hooray throughout the show. A truly great wholesome experience.

    Kids loved it

    by Larry2hig on 1/2/18DR2 - New York

Well-designed sets and props, enthusiastic actors, soothing but appropriate music, and friendly staff. My kids aged 2 & 3 loved it, we’ve been big fans of Brown Bear and the hungry Caterpillar, but the other two books that were read were also amusing. Good pacing, colorful animals and exaggerated gestures held their attention the entire time and it was the perfect duration overall for all kids in the audience. My son was literally cracking up,throughout the hungry caterpillar segment. Front row seats were a treat and not much more expensive than seats way in the back, so go that route if you can swing it for a much more intimate experience!
