This is the second time seeing this group perform (Hungry Caterpillar was the same but the other two were different). Such a great show for young children. No flashing lights, loud music, or frantic movements like a lot of the touring shows starring licensed characters, but just hearing the stories and seeing the characters on stage. Show runs about an hour.
Amazing experience capturing four Eric Carle stories beautifully! The artistry of puppetry truly made the audience feel like the characters jumped off the storybook pages onto the stage! Truly captivating and mesmerizing!
My 3 and a half year-old son was entranced by the show and got so excited by the motion and the stories that he could hardly stay in his seat. I thought the sets and lighting and puppets were clever and fun. This was a fabulous experience for my son and I and I would recommend it.
The show is good but it is overpriced for less than 1 hour show. $20 for an adult and $10 for a child. Also, they should specify this is a performance of puppets/animation and no actors. In my experience a performance of puppets for young children must be done in a small escenary to get 100% of the children's attention, we were sitting in the balcony.
We took our 3 year old son to see this and he had an absolute blast. Bright, colorful, and interactive with the kiddos.
Thoroughly enjoyable, very well performed. My grandson loved it.
Super cute. Children's participation is encouraged, and my daughter was YELLING out the names of the animals along with the other kids in the audience. She was entranced by the puppets as well as the soothing music and storytelling voice. Would highly recommend this show for small children.
Bought tickets for my grandkids ages 3 and 4. It was a tremendous show as favorite Eric Carle books came to life. The kids just loved it. Puppet masters came out and answered questions after the show. Great little theatre, reasonable prices for tickets and refreshments. Hope to see more shows there.
The performance was outstanding. It was entertaining from beginning to end. Loved how the cast interacted with the children and families at the end. Truly superb!!!!!
This was one of the most entertaining kids shows I have ever seen. Fun for kids as well as adults. The props were well made and the puppeteers were very talented and professional. Did a Q & A for the kids at the end and they were very kid oriented. I would suggest this to anyone that loves theatre or like to be thoroughly entertained for the hour and a half. Would love to see another showing! My only complaint is that there wasn’t more time because it was so great!
We really enjoyed it. We especially liked the post-show interaction with the audience, where the performers explained their puppet techniques.
We arrived to the theatre which has a gorgeous view of the bay and were greeted by YAM who had an activity for guests waiting for the show to start. My daughter made her own caterpillar and we just loved Hoffman's chocolate, we bought two of them. When the show started, you could see the amazement in her eyes, she was just blown away and anxious to see her favorite character. Such a great experience and she learned two new Eric Carl stories about the cloud and the chameleon. After the show we were lucky enough to be sitting by the puppet creator Mike whom she met and she was so excited to learn about how the characters were animated by the puppeteers. What an amazing experience. She asked if we could see the show again. I would recommend this for children who are excited about learning to read and brining those characters to life. The next day she was creating her own characters on paper and telling me a story. Great job, great day! Thank you all involved with bringing such quality family activities.
We have an active 3 year old...she didn't move the entire show. Absolutely incredible performance. BRAVO!!!!
Our family had a great time. The visuals are stunning. The buzz in the air from all the toddlers was joyful. Constant oohs and aahs and calling out the names of the characters. You wonder how they do it? They when the show is over they show you how it was done. Most gracious performers and the designer of the puppets made this a great experience!
It was a super cute Puppet Show that did 3 of Eric Carle's classic stories, ending with The Very Hungry Caterpillar. My 2 year old daughter had a blast. She kept saying "did you see that!" to my husband. After the show the puppeteers came out and did a short Q & A with the children. Overall it was about a hour and half which is perfect for a young child
We saw the Very Hungry Caterpillar show in Red Bank, NJ and were disappointed. Before purchasing tickets, I looked at the website and was excited that in addition to the Caterpillar story, the show included Brown Bear and the Rubber Ducks (one of my son’s favorites). But when we arrived at the show, I realized this was an entirely different company performing and the additional stories were the Little Cloud and the Mixed Up Chameleon, which we were not familiar with. The production was well done, and my son liked the Caterpillar portion, but he spent the rest of the show asking for the rubber ducks. I wish the distinction between the two productions would have been made clear.
Totally adorable. My 3 year old grandson did not take his eyes off the stage.
My kids say: this show was very funny and cool! The puppets are amazing and the stories are classics. Both my children ages 6 and 3 enjoyed!
The show is just 45 minutes. We feel it is so short.
