About

Eight-piece rock 'n' roll collective The Revivalists - David Shaw [lead vocals, guitar], Zack Feinberg [guitar], Andrew Campanelli [drums], George Gekas [bass], Ed Williams [pedal steel guitar], Rob Ingraham [saxophone], Michael Girardot [keyboard, trumpet], and PJ Howard [drums, percussion] - have made the journey from hole-in-the-wall gigs to sold-out shows at hallowed venues, multiplatinum success, more than 800 million streams and major media praise. Their fifth album, Pour It Out Into The Night (Concord Records) is a life-affirming album about living in the moment, fueled by lessons in gratitude and life realizations. Renowned for their live prowess, soulful alt-rock anthems, distinct mix of many of the classic styles of American music, and outward generosity through their philanthropic Rev Causes initiative, The Revivalists broke through with 2015's Men Amongst Mountains, which featured the double-platinum smash single and Billboard Hot 100 hit "Wish I Knew You."

    Lots of jamming

by Oakgirl on 9/4/23Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - Berkeley

I’ve seen revivalists twice before. Loved them so very much at those shows but this tour was different. A lot of jamming out. Rarely played a song from beginning to end without a long break for a jam. I love the creative feel at live shows but this time they lost me with all that jamming. Not sure if see them live again. Still love listening to them but maybe not llive

    Wha?

by CC on 9/4/23Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - Berkeley

Still not sure why The Revivalists, a band I have never heard of, were the headliner, and not Band of Horses. Possibly the strangest performance I've ever seen (and not in a good way) - we left 2.5 songs in after giving The Revivalists a shot. The venue (Greek Theater) was great as always and Band of Horses and The Heavy Heavy both killed it, but I wish their sets were both twice as long and The Revivalists had no part of it. These bands were just a strange pairing, and I don't think it worked. Plenty of people seemed to enjoy it, for some reason.

The staff are friendly, helpful and are fun. The Greek theater is amazing. My second time going in a two week time and you can bet I will be returning.

    Awesome concert

    by Angie on 9/3/23

The concert was absolutely awesome- I wish people would have had the courtesy to stay in the seats they purchased- people were swapping seats back and fourth during the show, at one point my seat was actually taken during break and the person told me to find another seat!!!!!!

    THE BEST

    by Baddad on 9/3/23

The Revivalists are the best band I have every seen live. I never write reviews, but I had to out of respect of what I witnessed at the concert.

    Great, I love this band

    by Denise on 9/3/23

This band needs general admission….always. Went to Berkeley show and it was ok, but with audience at stage it’s magic

What a Venue, What a concert

    by Toni on 9/3/23

Our first time at Berkeley Greek Theater. Very impressive fairly intimate theater with fair ticket prices and easy access. Going back next week. What a show the Revivalists put on. Awesome.

    Too perfect

    by captin on 9/3/23

I went to see Band of Horses who were basically the warmup band. The Revivalists are a incredible power pop band. Exemplary musicianship and a great vocalist. The band is very listenable but lacks any kind of edge to their sound. I can see why the now defunct FM radio station in the Bay Area KFOG loved this band. These fine musicians are too perfect sounding for my tastes in rock music.

    Beautiful music with friends

    by concert lady on 9/3/23

I have been waiting for these guys for the last 3 years. Saw them in AZ, but microphones were cutting in and out. I live in NO. CA and was excited to go see them in Berkeley! What a show and everyone dancing instead of using their phones!

    Revivalists Indy

    by Janny on 8/19/23

Love the Revivalists, but the singing and of the band vocals were not the best. I was so excited to hear their new song Kid and then vocals were awful. I don’t think we’ll pay the extra for the Hill Top again. No restroom close by and people standing in front of you as your sitting at the tables. Just a little disappointed.

    Great show

    by RIRevfan on 8/16/23

The Boston show was great - as always a great performance from the band. Great venue that we were able to see for a first time. Enjoyed hearing Band of Horses. The only complaint was the show ended too soon - the Revivalists only played for about an hour - would have loved to hear more - especially several songs I would have expected. I absolutely love the new album but thought some other songs are a must.

Three Amazing Bands at a Great Venue

    by JB on 8/16/23

The Heavy Heavy, Band of Horses, and the Revivalists were a great combination for this spectacular concert at Thompson's Point! Each band had its own take on the music, and each was excellent. Thompson's Point is a wonderful place to see a concert. Lots of creative meal options from a variety of reasonably priced food trucks, and plenty of great beer choices, too. All of the vendors minimized the use of plastic (beer was served in cans, food in cardboard). Beautiful surroundings from every angle!

Revivalists - They can wake the dead kid!

    by sly on 8/15/23

The ultimate bar band that puts on an amazing show. Great song writing, musicianship, showmanship and music. Throw in a great frontman, singer....what's not to love. We had a great time, this is what a band should be. The music, sound and passion pours out of this bands veins. Go see them as soon as you get a chance.

    Fantastic show!

    by Jax on 8/14/23

The revivalists of a fantastic show, playing a lot of the new songs. They’ve never fail to delight and amuse me with the music and their antics. The only problem was, it was too short because of the curfew for the park.
