About The Price Is Right Live

In 1972, a part of TV history began its journey with the premier of The Price Is Right on CBS. When contestants heeded host Bob Barker's iconic call to "Come on down!" and take part in what has become one of America's most beloved game shows, a legacy started that would last for decades to come. The Price Is Right is one of the most popular, longest-running TV shows ever, so it's not surprising that it spawned a stage version in 2002. When you attend The Price Is Right Live, you may not be on TV but you're still getting the full experience. Whether you're one of the randomly selected contestants or a spectator, you see the classic games played out before your eyes, as people do their best to guess prices in order to win cash and prizes.

  • Not what I expected

by Melinda on 10/21/24Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

The event was not what I was expecting, but I still had a great time with lots of laughs. The host, Todd Newton was absolutely fantastic and comical! The price for the tickets were a little costly for what it was. To be honest, it is one of those been there done that kind of thing and I wouldn't pay to go and do it again. The description of the event was very vague and lack of details, It left me with the feeling of it being more of a money racket.

I went with a co-worker and had no idea what to expect. The full liquor bar and food took me by surprise but I didn't hate it! The drinks were flowing, the music was pumping, the audience was engaged. I will definitely be going back next year. I highly recommend if you are on the fence.

  • Great fun

  • Fun and Exciting

by Violet on 10/20/24The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National HarborRating: 5 out of 5

Seating was great people in my area was friendly and welcoming. The host and announcer made you feel like you’re were at the actual show in California. Would like for it to last longer and better prizes, didn’t understand how the contestants were called to Come on Down need more facts and information about that. Overall I enjoyed myself cause I’m 66 years old now don’t know if I ever get to the real show.

  • Price Is Right Disappointment!!!!!!

by BJ on 10/20/24John Paul Jones Arena - CharlottesvilleRating: 1 out of 5

The show was nothing what I expected. Waited for the announcer to call out peoples names but the contestants were already sitting down front. I didn’t know that you had to sign up to spin the wheel. Everything was confusing. Spent too much money for this show. I also felt that the bidding on the items for the two contestants at the end of the show was not right. The lady bid 31,000 for her showcase and they claimed she had overbid. She was bidding on a new SUV, two trips, two surf boards. Take me to a dealership and show me a SUV for 20,000. Will not attend another show like this!!!!!!!

This is very different from the actual game show. would not go again but once in a lifetime it was okay.

  • Would go back again and again!!

by BC on 10/20/24Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

The overall experience was extremely engaging with all audience. The host was warm and felt like you had known him for some time. There was prizes redeemed for people called up and in the audience, so that was great as well. Would definitely go again, if they return back to Charlotte. My mom introduced to me the show as she would always eat her breakfast and watch this. I also did this for her as she has passed a few years back and she never got to experience a show in person, so it was sentimental as well for me.

  • Nice show

by Debra on 10/20/24Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

It was a nice show and lots of fun. I do wish one of us would have been called "to come on down"

  • Great Show

by Honey on 10/19/24Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 4 out of 5

I loved the show. I didn’t get called to come on down but I immensely enjoyed watching the contestants play and win prizes. As a VIP, I was to have the opportunity to spin the big wheel. To me, spinning the big wheel means that you have the chance to win something. To my disappointment, VIP’s were only allowed to spin the wheel and have their picture taken at the wheel. The Price Is Right representatives never told me that I was going to win anything. To me, it was more what they DIDN’T SAY that I felt was misleading to the ticket holder. My suggestion would be to divide the VIP’s into groups. Since everyone gets to spin the wheel, give the person in each group that comes the nearest to $1.00 an prize. Again, the show was super and I enjoyed it so much!

  • Great energy - prizes were less than we thought

by Robinita on 10/19/24Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 3 out of 5

It was really exciting waiting to see if your name was called, but we were a little disappointed with the prizes being given. Considering the cost of the ticket prices ( $75) there should have been higher end prizes.

  • Pure Entertainment

by Tricie on 10/19/24The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National HarborRating: 5 out of 5

If you haven’t been to a live show it’s a must. The price is right live was just like the actual show on tv.

  • Not what I expected

by RR on 10/19/24Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 3 out of 5

It was lively. The prizes and things to price were outdated. It needs to be brought up to date. It needs to be played like the regular Price is Right. I wouldn’t spend my money on it again

  • Fun Time

by Kat-Cliffhanger on 10/19/24Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

My Mom and I really enjoyed it. Great host and announcer.

  • pretty lame

by sleighc on 10/19/24John Paul Jones Arena - CharlottesvilleRating: 2 out of 5

I was disappointed in that it was not like the televised show at all. The prize amounts on games were much less. The bidding prize was just so ridiculous. and only one showcase which both contestants had to bid on the same one. Also the show was short.

  • A Dream Come True!!

by MsAnnD on 10/18/24The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National HarborRating: 4 out of 5

My friend and I enjoyed ourselves very much. The host was funny and enthusiastic. He obviously knew what he was doing and was very good with the contestants. He made them feel at home and comfortable. They might have been nervous, but he put them at ease. When I purchased the tickets, there were no directions as to how we could be called to "Come on Down"!!! There was nothing about how to get a name tag. That was our only setback.

  • Come On Down

by SMHorn on 10/18/24John Paul Jones Arena - CharlottesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I bought tickets for my dad, brother and I not expecting much other than to make my dad happy who is a huge Price Is Right Fan. as it approached they whined about going. But within 15 minutes of it starting we were all having a real blast. It is a great way to spend an evening- everyone cheering on the contestants while hoping to be the next one called. We will always attend when it comes through town.

  • Extremely cheesy

by Mel on 10/18/24John Paul Jones Arena - CharlottesvilleRating: 2 out of 5

I would not recommend this event, it was extremely cheesy and not worth the price of admission.

  • Retired postal worker

by Susan Via on 10/18/24John Paul Jones Arena - CharlottesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

It was a very nice show! My boyfriend even got called up!! They gave prizes to audience members also!! Enjoyed the slide show of earlier shows and Bob Barker too..

  • The Price Wasn’t Right

by Joe D on 10/18/24John Paul Jones Arena - CharlottesvilleRating: 2 out of 5

The emcee was outstanding but the downgraded version of the tv show was a bit lame. Too much video was used and generally speaking the production wasn’t worth attending, IMHO.
