The Phantom is back to thrill audiences once again! Cameron Mackintosh presents a revitalized new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's legendary musical, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, which was rapturously received by London critics when it reopened in 2021. Featuring Maria Björnson's brilliant original design and based on the celebrated direction of Harold Prince, with musical staging and choreography by Gillian Lynne, PHANTOM will launch a new multi-year North American tour in November 2025, premiering at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago December 11, 2025 - February 1, 2026.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is widely considered one of the most beautiful and spectacular productions in history, playing to over 160 million people in 47 territories and 195 cities in 21 languages. Andrew Lloyd Webber's romantic, haunting, and soaring score includes "The Music of the Night," "All I Ask of You," "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again," "Masquerade," and the iconic title song. It tells the tale of a disfigured musical genius known only as 'The Phantom' who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House. Mesmerized by the talents and beauty of a young soprano, Christine, The Phantom lures her as his protégé and falls fiercely in love with her. Unaware of Christine's love for Raoul, The Phantom's obsession sets the scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness, and passions collide.

    I've dreamed of seeing this musical live for nearly a decade of my life. I finally had the opportunity to see it when it returned to Chicago with a friend of mine, who saw it prior with a different cast. Overall, 1000000/10 experience wise. I wish I could see it again and again, it was more beautiful and fantastic than words can compare. My only TINY blip is the lack of emotion in certain songs from the cast but it did not hinder my experience at all. Can't wait to see it again someday!!!

    I loved the show. I saw it in New York earlier this year and had to see it again when it came to Chicago. I love this musical. Excellent singers and just a fabulous show all the way around. I could see this show again and again!

    I have never seen this before nor knew anything about it. I was drawn in by the actress/actors. The music, the outfits, the stage was just perfect. I actually went home to watch the movie. Great performance, great show and definitely worth it.

    It was the first time I saw that Opera in Chicago. However, the ticket I bought was not a good one with just half of view from my seat to the stage. I could not see what happened on th right side of the stage since my views was blocked by curtains. The Ticketmaster should have informed me about this when I bought it online. I love the music, but that was not a good experience at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago.

    From the sound of the very first music in the opening act, we absolutely had the chills! The sets, the music, and the vocals were incredible. And throughout the show you wondered, how did they do that?!! It was an incredible, moving performance!

    In a magnificent theater, this play was lush, sumptuous & magical! I've been going to theaters my entire life and this may well be the best production yet! This production of Phantom of the Opera is the essence of live theater!

    Phantom of the Opera has been my favorite musical since I first saw it performed at the Auditorium in 1994. The impressive sets, gorgeous costumes, and breathtaking score are first rate. Although limited by a smaller stage, the current production does not disappoint. The staging is ingenious, using a tall circular wall and rotating sets. We saw the understudy perform as Christine—what a set of pipes. She was fabulous, as were the other principals. Go see it while it’s here.

    I've seen Phantom of the Opera two times prior to this so I wasn't expecting special. Well, I was wrong. The production was not only exquisitely performed with flawless technical execution, but the addition of pyrotechnics made it stunning. Music, of course, was beautiful. Especially loved the thundering organ, and the surround-sound whispers of the Phantom. This was very special in every way. Don't hesitate buying tickets--you will not be disappointed.

    Christmas Eve matinee, not an empty seat in the house! People dressed festively, in a great mood. My first time seeing Phantom, absolutely loved it. Some of the songs brought me to tears. The cast was wonderful. Thank you for a special day.
