Following an acclaimed sell-out tour of the United Kingdom, Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's phenomenal musical success, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, will make its premiere in Chicago as part of a brand new US National Tour.

Hailed as "Stunning, intense and spectacular" by the Sunday Express, this production features a brilliant new design by Paul Brown, costumes by the much missed Maria Björnson, a new staging by Laurence Connor — director of the recent acclaimed 25th anniversary celebration at the Royal Albert Hall — and new choreography by Scott Ambler. The production is overseen by Matthew Bourne and Cameron Mackintosh.

    very disappointed

    While the show seemed to be promising it was actually very disappointing. First of all we went on opening night and didn't even get the phantom! We got his understudy! Second of all pacing was pretty bad. The actors and actressed embelished way to much every song and just dragged out the first half like crazy. They also ruined many parts like not having christine pull off the mask the first time and the phantom didn't yell at all which is always the scariest part when he gets mad. Oh and I'm sorry but Raoul was HORRIBLE! He was acting like a spoiled little boy. Not a man in love. It was just overall extremely dissapointing

    Absolutely excellent! The whole cast had excellent voices. The phantom was especially excellent. Enjoyed the whole event. Wish it could stay longer.

    Went on a mother/daughter date with another friend and our 11 year old daughters. We all LOVED it and thoroughly enjoyed!

    Music of the night

    This was my second time seeing Phantom (different city). This show was phenomenal. As expected, the music and vocals were outstanding. Additionally, the set design and pyrotechnics of this production were superb. I would highly recommend.
