Following an acclaimed sell-out tour of the United Kingdom, Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's phenomenal musical success, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, will make its premiere in Chicago as part of a brand new US National Tour.
Hailed as "Stunning, intense and spectacular" by the Sunday Express, this production features a brilliant new design by Paul Brown, costumes by the much missed Maria Björnson, a new staging by Laurence Connor — director of the recent acclaimed 25th anniversary celebration at the Royal Albert Hall — and new choreography by Scott Ambler. The production is overseen by Matthew Bourne and Cameron Mackintosh.
My wife and I saw this live performance on New Years Eve -- the 31st of December 2019. We had already owned the 2004 movie on DVD, but my wife had always wanted to see it on stage. And dare I say, the stage performance far exceeded my expectations as far as following the story line, and many more. This is by far the best version of "Phantom Of The Opera" that we have ever seen!
First time to watch a musical play, I enjoyed it a lot. Can’t wait to watch another classic play.

Outstanding performance! Any seat in the theater is great. The singing will give you goosebumps. The costumes and set design will take your breath away. I recommend using Spot Hero ahead of time to reserve parking. I only paid $12 to park in a lot that starts at $25. The bartenders at this venue are very quick and polite. I would recommend this show and this venue to anyone.
I've been to a bunch of musicals and plays and the set design for this one is super amazing. The play itself was awesome as well.
This theater is beautiful and Phantom is timeless!!
The show and the theater both lived up to all my expectations and more. The theater was extravagant and had brilliant acoustics throughout, while the show was just magnificent and made use of the amazing theater to it's fullest providing an immersive experience that filled me with awe.
This production of Phantom of the Opera was very well done. I'm a geek and loved the set! Amazing set design and tech went into the show. Loved how they handled the chandelier. I saw it 30 years ago and it is slightly different, but still so well done and the songs and music timeless. So worth seeing! Especially in the lovely architecturally amazing Cadillac Theatre.
This was the first time I had seen this play in person. I was not disappointed. The actors were all phenomenal, and the sets were exceptional. I will deffinatly be seeing it again in the future.
Love the show, but the seat were uncomfortable. next time I will pick my on tickets instead of letting them being selected.
Nobody in our family of four had seen Phantom before so we splurged and bought second row Dress Circle Center seats at a premium and little did I know that there's a Chandelier above the Orchestra seats that features prominently in the show, so we couldn't see some of what was happening, and central to the turn of events. The quality of singing was good. But our experience was overall disappointing.
The acting, singing, dancing, and the stage were perfect! The cast and crew gave justice to the play. A must see again!!
We had a great date night in city. Show was good and props to stage hands that built the moving scenery.

Discounted parking pass was appreciated. However, no instructions were given on how or where to use it. But, we figured it out

Scanning tickeys was quite easy process. The theatre was beautiful! The performance was flawless and vibrant!! Loved it!
We had seen Phantom many years ago. Loved the new changes. The set design was AMAZING. Watching the stairs to the Phantom's lair just appear out of no where was Awesome. The music is just Beautiful, the Phantom was eerie, the Love story is wonderful and the Special Effects were Surprising. It was our son's first viewing and he Loved it as well.
Everything was great with the show and venue. It was a perfect evening.
Stunning performance. I didn't do a good job of booking the seats. they were in row G, Aisle one. Could not se all the scenes. Also, washrooms were packed at intermission. I did not have a chance to use it myself. But, overall it was a good outing.
