THE BRILLIANT ORIGINAL RETURNS "MORE SPECTACULAR THAN EVER" - Sunday Express
The Phantom is back to thrill audiences once again! Cameron Mackintosh presents a revitalized new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's legendary musical, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, which was rapturously received by London critics when it reopened in 2021. Featuring Maria Björnson's brilliant original design and based on the celebrated direction of Harold Prince, with musical staging and choreography by Gillian Lynne, PHANTOM will launch a new multi-year North American tour in November 2025, premiering at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago December 11, 2025 - February 1, 2026.
THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is widely considered one of the most beautiful and spectacular productions in history, playing to over 160 million people in 47 territories and 195 cities in 21 languages. Andrew Lloyd Webber's romantic, haunting, and soaring score includes "The Music of the Night," "All I Ask of You," "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again," "Masquerade," and the iconic title song. It tells the tale of a disfigured musical genius known only as 'The Phantom' who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House. Mesmerized by the talents and beauty of a young soprano, Christine, The Phantom lures her as his protégé and falls fiercely in love with her. Unaware of Christine's love for Raoul, The Phantom's obsession sets the scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness, and passions collide.

Absolutely loved it. Hope it returns to Chicago again.
Acting, music, dancing all great. The sets were deceptively simple but impressive.
We were excited to see The Phantom of the Opera after hearing the music for years and loving the movie. The musical was stunningly wonderful, so much so, that we are going to see it again in our hometown.
This by far was the most spectacular broadway play I've ever seen!!
The show was great, the costumes fantastic. Really don't think there would be a bad seat in the house either!!
Amazing singing! Wonderful production! The Phantom was phenomenal!
The performance and staging was excellent. The only disappointment is that the Cadillac Palace Theater allowed eating and drinking during the performance. This was very distracting. The usher would not allow cell phone use because of the light it emits but they say nothing to people who shake the ice in their refreshment cups or crinkle the bags of popcorn.
Well-designed stage!! Different experience from the movie. I love Webber's music!!!
The music, the actors , the props. Wow. It was fantastic.
I brought my daughter to see this for her birthday/Christmas since she was part of this production in school. We absolutely LOVED it and sang along. I would highly recommend going to see this!
I absolutely LOVED this production!!! The Phantom had the most amazing voice!!! I would highly recommend this show to everyone.
It had been 20 years since I last saw Phantom. Took my family for a Christmas Eve show. Amazing performance!! I highly recommend this show.
It has been on my bucket list to see a Broadway worthy performance of The Phantom since I was a small child. The performance I saw in Chicago on December 21st certainly fulfilled that bucket list item. The cast, the production and the orchestra were all amazing from start to finish. I would highly suggest this performance be seen by anyone who loves TPOTO as much as I do. It is beyond the words "well worth the money"!!
Excellent Play! Would see it again. The music and the voices of the actors were fantastic.
Went with my husband to see the Phantom for the first time, it was simply amazing. It is one of my favorite books and I absolutely love the movie. This play captured all that and more! Brought everything to life and definitely exceeded my expectations.
Great voices, beautiful and colorful wardrobe, captivating scenery... it's all there.
3rd. time I have seen this production-this time blew me away. Can't wait to see it again!!
As many others, I have seen at least 8 productions of Phantom and this one was one of the best. We were sitting front left of stage in 4 th row but still had good visual. It did seem the stage was a bit small at this venue( Cadillac/ Palace) for such a large production but it worked.
It was totally worth it coming from Austin to Chicago for this!
