    Extremely disappointing

by TC on 10/4/21Alliant Energy PowerHouse - Cedar Rapids

They barely performed any recognizable songs. 😑😑😑 A complete waste of money!! I was so angry and a crowd of us were outside saying the same thing! DON’T come back to CR without a set list full of hits!!!

    Waste of money

by Micky on 10/4/21Alliant Energy PowerHouse - Cedar Rapids

They played for an hr and ten minutes. Overpriced.. rap and a couple Prince songs. Extremely disappointing.

    Disappointed

by Purple Stain on 10/4/21Alliant Energy PowerHouse - Cedar Rapids

Not at all what expected. First really only played two Prince classics and second was only like an hour and fifteen. Not a $40 ticket show.

Great performance and I really enjoyed my experience. They were all willing to take the time to meet with me after the performance and very friendly. They made my night and I have pictures to remember my fabulous evening. Please have them back again! Thank you Mackenzie!!!!!

    So much fun!!

by HJohnson on 9/30/19Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

The band sounded great!! They played a variety of Prince songs, not just from the NPG era. And Mackenzie did a great job singing! He has a great vocal range and did Prince justice. Would definitely go again if they came back!!

    #NPG4LIFE

by Clare on 9/30/19Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

Well what can I say???? The NPG brought it to Chandler!!!! I flew in from Honolulu to meet my purple sister Nadine from the ATL and we had a phenomenal time with these brilliant career musicians, all of whom played with Prince save for the lead singer Mackenzie and special guest vocalist a true purple fam, Martin Kember. They really brought the love and I hope they felt it from us. An exceptional show and I have seen my fair share over the decades with and without P. Sonny T and Levi are a terror on the bass and guitar!!!! Tony M always brings the memories and a great time to the stage!!!! Morris, well he is phenomenal on the keys and as the MD for the NPG.Great newer drummer, hits the skins alot like John Blackwell (RIP) and hopefully they will keep him around. Mackenzie gives his heart and soul to his performances and does a fantastic job with those lead voals!!! Special guest Martin Kember did a fantastic job singing Gold and Pop Life as well as backup vocals. The VIP meet n greet was wonderful as well as the after party. Both Sonny T and Mack showed up to that and we really appreciated it. They had to leave at 3:45 for their next show and they still made that effort. Prince would be proud!! Go see the NPG if they ever come to your town. #Realmusicbyrealmusicians. Honoring the legacy of the great Prince Rogers Nelson. See you next time fellas!!! xxoo

    Great show!

by ToddC on 9/30/19Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

NPG put on a great show, fun to watch and certainly got the crowd involved. Guest vocalist Martin Kember did a terrific job, as did the entire band.

The music that moves the heart, soul and body.

by Scott on 9/30/19Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

As a Minneapolis native, there is a special sound that defines us. The purple funk that Prince and his band mates made iconic was brought to life again through the New Power Generation. Moved us to dance, sing and to tears as NPG channeled the energy, the life, the soul that will forever be Prince.

    What a great concert!!!

by Rebecca on 9/30/19Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

We had a blast. IT was just a great tribute to the greatest musician there every was. Of course, no one comes close to Prince's performances, but to be able to listen to the band that he loved was amazing. The were able to bring Prince back for all his fans and the singers did a wonderful job. It made us feel sad to have lost Prince but blessed to still have his music! Thank you Chandler Center for the Arts for an amazing performance.

    Amazing First Time Concert Experience

by Miss Hot & Master M on 9/30/19Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

The New Power Generation concert was my son's first concert at age 14. Myles, my son, enjoyed everything, from the purchasing of Merchandise, Meet and Greet, the actual concert, and after the show, taking pictures and talking with some the members. Myles describes his experience in one word, "AMAZING!"

    New Power Generation

by J. D. on 9/30/19Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

Incredible show. On my feet the whole time. Started with Partyman. How can people sit during a show like this I will never understand. MacKenzie is a great fit as the singer. They did everything you would expect plus a few musical surprises. I like that they did a few NPG songs from their first album. Cool by the Time was a highlight. Actually it all was a highlight . "Call My Name" was so good. They're keeping Prince's music alive. Still the baddest band in the land.

    Amazing experience

by Heather on 8/8/19The Cabot - Beverly

I will be on the lookout for the next time NPG comes around. The ticket price was reasonable & worth every cent for the 2 hr show with no opening act.

    Love the NPG!!!!!

by Jayna on 8/6/19The Cabot - Beverly

The NPG is outstanding, knock-your-socks-off, out-of-the-park wonderfulll!! MacKenzie has a fluid, soulful, and from the heart, beautiful voice with a range that is beyond words. He leaves it all on the stage floor!!! Mr. Hayes, Tony M., Sony T., Levi, Kenni Holmen, and the great drummer (sorry, I lost his name) are ridiculously talented musicians in every way!!!! And, they are all gregarious, sweet men!!! Can't wait to see them again. Do yourself a favor and see the NPG!!! NPG4LIFE. Feeling blessed.

    Prince lives

    by T. R. on 8/6/19The Cabot - Beverly

NPG, the funkiest band in the land, delivered a 5star show Saturday night. Tight, talented and delicious, the music flowed nonstop from these guys, never trying to mimic Prince’s hits, but interpreting and reinvigorating in the spirit. Do not mis NPG any chance you get.

    Disappointed

by Gene on 8/6/19The Cabot - Beverly

Not what I was expecting. Musically ok. The lead singer doesn’t work for a Prince cover band. And they didn’t play much Prince music. Left before it was over.

NPG Rocked the House ! Prince lives On !!!

by Diper Dave on 8/6/19The Cabot - Beverly

from start to finish we danced the night away. The Prince song catalog is huge and NPG gave us more than a sampling. I highly recommend you go see this band, if you ever get the chance. What a fun night !
