    The music was good but you could tell they were not the original members. Very disappointed in the amount of money that we spent for a very short concert

  • The Show Was Just Okay

    It was the worst show I have seen at the Birchmere. The performance was mediocre and felt like I was listening to a young/evolving cover band. The songs were short and so was their set. They need background singers and a front man who can carry the show. The original Ohio player who was on drums was a great soulful person and band leader, but should allow the band to PLAY the music all the way through with FIRE!!

    I was refunded my ticket money from ticketmaster sooner than I expected. Although they said it would be longer. Thanks you Ticketmaster for my refund. The Ohio player were great 👍.

    I really enjoyed the venue. My only complaint is The Family Stone should have been the closing act. The Ohio Players is a classic/iconic group, but The Family Stone had the entire venue off its feet from start to finish. If I were you, book The Family Stone to head line and/or just them for an exclusive show. One Love! ✌🏾

    The ticketmaster site and tickets showed that the show was to begin at 7:30, though not even a third of the seats were occupied by that time. The show began about ten minutes after 8, so maybe we were given wrong information by Ticketmaster??? As far as the show, the Family Stone put on a great performance and their sound was great once it was adjusted during the first song. Unfortunately, when the Ohio Players came on stage, their sound was horrible and stayed that way for the entire show. The snare drum and the bass were EXTREMELY loud and all the other instruments and vocals were drowned out by those two instruments. There was more talking by the presenter/lead bandmember than there needed to be and not enough music and the sound was really horrible.

    Sly and the Family Stone and Ohio Players were awesome! Loved that old photos and videos of both groups were used in the back-drop! I would do it again!
