  • Extremely good

by Yuto on 7/19/19Minskoff Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I visited NYC with my family from Tokyo, Japan, who are first time come to NYC. They got really excited to see Lion King and the seat which I booked were so good. I recommend those who want to get tickects should reserve 1st floor and the middle row to see it.

  • Mixed

by Cy on 7/18/19Minskoff Theatre - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

The show was good. We went on the day after the power outage in NYC and some of the cast weren’t able to have their costumes which was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, the show was good. My biggest issue was that I had a family next to me that was absolutely horrible. They spoke the ENTIRE performance and had NO respect for anyone else. It was my first show on Broadway. I took my Fiancé their for her birthday because she wanted to see it so bad and those people ruined an otherwise good time. I should have sought out the usher and let them deal with this family. I will know the very next time.

  • Show in NY

by HE on 7/17/19Minskoff Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

I went to the performance the day after the NY blackout and once the show started they said that many of the main characters' costumes had water damage :( I had wished they told us before the show started so I could have requested a refund or exchanged for another day. The actors were wearing all black clothing instead and didn't even have their faces painted! So it was disappointing because I shelled out a lot of money and would have gladly exchanged for a different day!

  • New York the lion king

by Ceci on 7/17/19Minskoff Theatre - New YorkRating: 1 out of 5

I was very excited to see the lion king in New York. The night before there was a power outage in New York so the next day we went to see the play they announced that some of the costumes had water damage due to the power outage. I thought it was unbelievable that they didn’t have a 2nd set in case of emergencies like this. The costumes play a big roll n this play seeing Simba, Nala and Rafiki with just black top and bottom was not very impressive. I was very disappointed.

  • Great show!

    by P. D. on 7/17/19Minskoff Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I was skeptical they could pull it off but the acting was superb especially since some were in costume with mechanics to work while they sang, danced and acted. Very imaginative.

  • A half show

by Chris on 7/17/19Minskoff Theatre - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

The show was good but just after the black-out the actors didn’t have the full set of costum or makup. No warning before the représentation or a reimbursement because we paid the full prize

  • A experience I will never forget.

    by C. T. on 7/17/19Minskoff Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

I have waited several years to see this on Broadway and it was worth the wait. At some parts of the show I got chills, that's how beautiful it was. 10/10 recommend!
