The Disco Biscuits rose to prominence in the ‘90s by pioneering their own genre: “trancefusion,” which bridges the gap between electronic music and Frank Zappa-influenced jam bands. The quartet of Jon "The Barber" Gutwillig (guitar), Marc Brownstein (bass), Sam Altman (drummer, later replaced by Allen Aucoin) and Aron Magner (keys) met on the University of Pennsylvania campus in 1995. One year later, they released their debut album Encephalous Crime. The highly-danceable jam band transitioned from playing frat parties to touring in support of everyone from The Black Crowes to the Jerry Garcia Band. Over the years, The Disco Biscuits have released multiple experimental albums and EPs, and curated the annual Camp Bisco electronic music festival. In July 2023, they embarked on their first West Coast tour in nearly 14 years.

I had an awesome time at my first show at state theatre Portland, ME!
They are imo the greatest band alive, who play songs that are 20 years old and have never once played the same way. they are the best live show there is. greatest light show and fans in the business, and they have successfully created one of the largest jam / EDM festivals that I can think of in the USA.
We enjoyed the concert. Wish there were fans or some type of air circulating.
so much fun these guys are always my fav to see live.
Biscuits killed it, venue was kind of lame, but besides that killer show(s)
Spectacular night. Unbelievable light show. Unbelievable music. What a great time to be had. These are some seriously talented musicians. Jams that build and build and build into a sonic explosion. This is ear candy so tasty your ears will melt. Just like my mind at this concert. They live up to their name. Disco Biscuits.
Wonderful show. Band was on fire. Loved the set list.
The disco biscuits turned the Crouse Hinds Theatre into a spaceship time machine.
Had a great time. Workers at venue were very nice. Band was awesome.
If you have been saying to yourself, dam i wish there was a beat savvy experimental quartet that played great shows , then you need to see the disco biscuits. Halloween was my 44th show and they just keep getting better. Thank you brownie allen barber and mags for all your fingers, they make magical noises.
The show was unbelievable, the live performance they put on matches no other. Would recommend any music lover to go see them in concert.
Definitely an acquired taste but always an awesome time
Awesome Halloween show. The light show was out of this world. Can't wait to see them again
There is nothing like it and no one better. Immerse yourself into a new surrounding and bask in the upbeat, exciting, psychedelic jams of outer space. Accept no substitutes.
The Disco Biscuits continue to blow me away. The show Friday night was out of this world. State theater staff were great, and the sound/lights were spot on.
Amazing show. The vibes were spectacular. Felt very family and the band was on point all night. Closed with an amazing safety dance! I recommend the biscuits to anyone of any age looking for a great time! The security at the State theater was absolutely terrible. They allowed people with cigs and lighters but not ecigs... Extremely crappy. Other than that, great show.
This was my first time seeing the disco biscuits. The lights and the instruments had this amazing flow to it they synced up so well. The energy was amazing The people at the show so happy so much love was in the air.
The electric factory never disappoints. Even with the garbage weather there weren't any real issues. The staff is great and the biscuits are even better !
Great set of shows at the E-Factory. Biscuits played very well; better as the run progressed. Venue was VERY crowded...
First off, it was incredible how brave the crowd was for coming out in the treacherous conditions, but this is a diehard fanbase if I've ever been a part of one. The Biscuits threw out a surprise 3 sets this evening, and their energy was full on for the duration of the show. Small timing and/or lyrical issues are to be expected at most live events, particularly from bands that specialize in improvisation in between composed segments of songs, but I saw fewer of these than I have come to expect from TDB in recent years. There were great ideas all throughout, and not only that, they were executed very well. It was a cleverly thought out, well performed and thoroughly enjoyed show! I love this band and every so often, I feel I get rewarded by being there for a total blowout such as this Saturday's show. In a word, rejuvenating!
