The Disco Biscuits rose to prominence in the ‘90s by pioneering their own genre: “trancefusion,” which bridges the gap between electronic music and Frank Zappa-influenced jam bands. The quartet of Jon "The Barber" Gutwillig (guitar), Marc Brownstein (bass), Sam Altman (drummer, later replaced by Allen Aucoin) and Aron Magner (keys) met on the University of Pennsylvania campus in 1995. One year later, they released their debut album Encephalous Crime. The highly-danceable jam band transitioned from playing frat parties to touring in support of everyone from The Black Crowes to the Jerry Garcia Band. Over the years, The Disco Biscuits have released multiple experimental albums and EPs, and curated the annual Camp Bisco electronic music festival. In July 2023, they embarked on their first West Coast tour in nearly 14 years.

SICKMADNASTY. Awesome show, sweet venue. Balcony is shaky, kinda scary, but overall awesome place.
The music moves your body, reminds Me of Dead shows back in the day. Great crowd, good vibes. Turn the Bass down a tiny bit, it steps on the guitar too much. Go, Dance, and have a great time!
I left early, it wasn't the biscuits. Allen is amazing keep up the awesome talent!
pretty good show - was as expected good feel, good scene.
To be completely honest I didn't stay for the Disco Biscuits. I was there for the opening act, DJ T-Bone, and it was well worth it. He was amazing! DJ T-Bone rocked the house and had everyone dancing from start to finish. I would highly recommend that everyone go out and see DJ T-Bone wherever her preforms, because i guarantee that he won't be opening for long. Soon he's going to be the main event!
Played the first set which rocked, but where was the 2nd set?
So after arriving to the house of blues and being blown away by Indobox, i was pumped for Bisco to come on. Unfortunatley this took awhile. BUT the wait was well worth the while, the first set was Bomb! Here's why i gave it two stars: After the end of the first set, they took a break, which was well deserved. This break consisted of an hour. Now at this point im a little sketched out, i mean, why is it taking so long. Then the announcer comes on saying that "the show will not continue due to technical difficulties." okay, cool biscuits. so we left.
Total waste of time. Appreciated them trying to put show on. But no second set? What happened?
This show was incredibly bad. I can't believe I payed 36 bucks for this show. It was worth 2 dollars. After the show finished I was ready to see Disco Biscuits because what I saw, wasn't them. The first set was horrible. Although the second half of the second set was awesome, it didn't make up for the horror of the first. Everyone put in a great amount of effort, I'll say that. There were some niiice jams, but I hope they never do that again. This won't make me stop going to see the biscuits but man, was I disappointed. I ESPECIALLY feel bad for people whose first time seeing the Disco Biscuits. To those, please, see them again you will love them. This wasn't the Disco Biscuits.
Ahh, the music, the spinning multi-color lights, and the band Mark, Brownie, and the lot. Wow, what a show. Danced the entire second set. The crowd was forgiving, polite, even, but the mood was elation. Smiling faces abounding, bodies in rhythmic motion, and the lights; setting the mood, highs and lows, to and far. It was a wonderful experience. Drinks were easy to get, but I was into the lights, the music, and the scene. I liked it so much I will find an excuse to go again tonight. That's a fact!. The wife will have to watch the kids but I am going t the show to zip in the night fantastic. Five stars, definitely. I highly recommend this band (and that's only the first time I ever saw them).
i was at 30 and 29 and they were both amazing shows. the 30th especially
What an amazing show it was incredible. Great way to start off the new year. Band was awesome! Lighting was awesome. it was my first biscuits show and is definitely not my last !
One of the best shows I've ever seen! These guys are awesome!
Overall best New years ever, The sound was amazing, and the lights are always a hit. The lines for drinks are short and quick. Most of staff is nice and very helpful! Overall great venue and wonderful experience! I hope they have it at Nokia again next year.
Sick show, they played so solid, and the venue was fantastic
The Nokia is an awesome venue, and the Disco Biscuits are an awesome band. Amazing show.
I had a great time at this show and was surprised by the engergy of the Nokia. Every single person I talked to was pumped and ready to rage. The band played decent. The first set was excelent with a long Strobelights into a super solid Shemrah > Rockcandy that blew me away. I've been wating to hear a Grass is green for a while so that was mostly the hight light of my night. The second set was pretty well played. Barber seemed to be in the zone the entire time and only flubbing up a few times. I'm happy I made it out to the Nokia. On a side note the Chemical warfare brigade was really good.
Biscuits was unforgettable! The venue was sick, the music was great, and the light show was crazy! so good im going again on the 29th!
Best Disco Biscuits show I have seen this year since the April Electric Factory shows!!!!
So good. Blew my mind away. The new songs were amazing.
