The Disco Biscuits rose to prominence in the ‘90s by pioneering their own genre: “trancefusion,” which bridges the gap between electronic music and Frank Zappa-influenced jam bands. The quartet of Jon "The Barber" Gutwillig (guitar), Marc Brownstein (bass), Sam Altman (drummer, later replaced by Allen Aucoin) and Aron Magner (keys) met on the University of Pennsylvania campus in 1995. One year later, they released their debut album Encephalous Crime. The highly-danceable jam band transitioned from playing frat parties to touring in support of everyone from The Black Crowes to the Jerry Garcia Band. Over the years, The Disco Biscuits have released multiple experimental albums and EPs, and curated the annual Camp Bisco electronic music festival. In July 2023, they embarked on their first West Coast tour in nearly 14 years.

Great show happy crowd danced four hours. Doesn't get better than that!
Wild, Loud, wet, cold, Extascy infused crowd. Crazy night of dancing.
Obviously the venue is rad, its the RED ROCKS!!! Twas my first red rocks experience, do dynamic and sound quality is great. Lights were awesome, they were scattered not only on the stage, but on the rocks on both sides of the seating as well as the whole audience. Disco biscuits were great on their first set, but after RUSKO, it was hard to get into a JAM BAND mode again. I would recommend this event to everyone.
The Disco Biscuit show was a lot of fun. Although I did not care as much for Big Boi, and I thought that Rusko's set lacked coherence, it was still great fun. Red Rocks is such an amazing venue, I was grinning like an idiot, glad that I moved to Denver. The Disco Biscuits set seemed like it was over right away...but maybe that's just my perception. I have to admit that some of the wasted high school and college kids seemed a bit contrary to an enjoyable experience for me. Maybe I'm getting old, but some people are mighty misguided IMO.
I am only giving 4 stars because the opening acts this year were pretty weak. The Biscuits were as awesome as ever.
Both nights at the Ogden were pretty amazing, no complaints. The Reds Rocks show was marginal, due to a couple openings acts that plain sucked. Emancipator was great as always but I've seen him at Red Rocks 6 times and its getting a bit old. They're enough acts out there, they could have booked anyone else (examples The Motet, Telepath, Up Until Now, Daft Punk......) BoomBox was also stellar. They should be playing Red Rocks more often. Big Boi is great in his own right, but no one was there to see a rap concert. We ended up getting two rappers just singing over there own recordings, not very impressive. The Disco Biscuits first set was extremely exciting and I was pleased with their performance. Rusko was the last opener and he was horrible. I don't feel any lone DJ should ever be able to have a full set at Red Rocks solely because its not interesting to just watch one guy dance to his own music. Dub Step isn't, and should never be, popular and I feel the only reason people didn't leave during Rusko's set was because the Disco Biscuits had one more to go. The Biscuits last set was epic and I loved every minute of it. Encores all three nights were wonderful. Over all The Disco Biscuits were GREAT, there just needs to be some better opening acts like last Bisco Inferno 2010 when Pnuma Trio, Booka Shade, The Crystal Method and the Glitch Mob brought down the house.
I'd never been to red rocks before this show and it was literally hands down an amazing concert. One of the best I have ever been to. Big Boi was so awesome playing Outkasts old songs.
Disco Biscuits, Rusko, Big Boi, and Boombox totally shook the red rocks! By far the best concert experience yet!!!
This was my 6th Biscuits show and if you don't like them, you need to reevaluate your appreciation for GOOD music.
Disco Biscuits were pretty good - thought they would be more dancey - they're like an STS9 but not as danceable. Big Boi, Emancipator, BOOMBOX!!!!!!, and Rusko - WOW! All amazing. Good times.
Disco played amazing sets. Emancipator is fantastic! Big Boi was fun and Rusko threw it down along with Boombox who got the crowwd moving! A real dance a thon!
The biscuits threw out two great sets! Big Boi got the crowd moving after Emancipator & Boombox kicked the show off. Rusko was absolutely amazing, got the crowd together and probably cracked the rocks with all the bass in there!
Such an AWESOME show. Definitely would go again, one of the best shows i've seen there
One word: MAGELLAN! What an amazing show, blew Thursday THROUGH THE ROOF! Disco Biscuits, you have yet to disappoint me :)
This was the best concert I've seen in my short life, and I'm very happy to know the Biscuits can still play the way they did 5-10 years ago, which is what they did this night. They pulled out all the stops and played many classic Bisco songs, definitely all fan favorites. The show started off low key, with a classic Kitchen Mitts, and slowly built up into the most epic show ever. Second set's Spaga, Tricycle, and Humu killed it, I really couldn't believe what was going on. Barber was in fine form, and worked beautifully with Brownie and Magner to create pure Bisco Bliss. The Magellan encore left us all speechless. BISCUITS FTW.
The venue and the biscuits were awesome.. 1st time at Sherman but it wont be the last... thanks... NAMASTE <3
I had a blast at the show and would attend future events at this venue. Stroudsburg, PA wasn't bad either, great dining and hospitality. Therapy was pretty hot, and who doesn't Like to Party? They played most of my favorite songs and the drinks were reasonably priced.
mixed up some classics with some trance/dance, overall a pretty decent show not an unforgettable night for the biscuits, but still fun
Bb theater is really cool and intimate. Db were great but they didn't bring thsir laser lights so that was a drag
show was awesome as expected. if you never have seen them you need to
