THE BOOK OF MORMON ON TOUR
The New York Times calls it "the best musical of this century." The Washington Post says, "It is the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals." And Entertainment Weekly says, "Grade A: the funniest musical of all time." Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show calls it "Genius. Brilliant. Phenomenal." It's The Book of Mormon, the nine-time Tony Award®-winning Best Musical. Contains explicit language.

The performance was awesome and was a great experience.
Show was great. Seats are tight. Acoustics sometimes to low. Couldn’t understand what they were saying.
I had wanted to see Book of Mormon for years. It did not disappoint and provided a wonderful escape from our current world situation. It wasn’t what I had expected which made it that much more fun. Not for the faint of heart or for those easily offended. Just good fun and entertainment. The actors were fabulous!
The acoustics in the upper levels are poor such that you will miss much of the dialogue. What I could hear was far too crude for my taste and really unnecessary. One "F "bomb has some shock value but an hour or more of them is too much. I wish that i had not attended.
Questionable content. This will definitely not be a repeat performance for myself and my companion
I've seen this show twice now and laughed just as hard the second time. The actors playing the two elders are hysterical. It's so wild and out of left field. Not for prudes or those put off by making fun of religious hypocrisy. The open-minded will love it, as the audience did when I went!
This was our first time seeing The Book of Mormon. The show was fantastic and funny. Cast and crew are so talented!
Funny as heck. Third time I've seen the show and laughed at all three. This cast was excellent. $450 for the tickets and well worth it.
Was there for 3 hours but felt much less. The performance is face paced and engaging.
I heard good things about the show and I truly enjoyed it as I heard.
It was a little risqué and many acts were just crude. The music was nice and so was the dancing.
Extremely talented and entertaining! Soooo good. Saw Book of Mormon at Durham DPAC. Loved it but was a little shocked by some of the words and actions used. I did not notice a legal note stating it could offend some. I wasn’t, but was surely surprised! Five stars from me!
A great show, with tons of laughs, a great soundtrack, and worth the wait!
The sound is very loud; the language and performance are low tastes.
This was the funniest show ever! When it starts, you have no idea what you're about to experience. It was excellent! Loved it!
Good songs, lighting, and choreography, but acoustics were surprisingly poor and mixing was subpar. Solos came through clearly, but choral numbers turned into unintelligible mud due to interference between direct and reflected sound. Net result: I was unable to hear half the lyrics from the center of one of the theater’s rear sections.
Laughter filled the theater more times than one could count. Applause thundered through like a prairie storm. And God hung his head in utter disbelief while the angels wept. IT. WAS. AWESOME! Had there been a church across from the theater, the moment the show was over, you would have seen a steady stream of theater goers funneling out of the theater and straight into church. I NEVER FELT DIRTIER IN MY LIFE, AND I WANTED MORE. As I sit and write this review, scenes from the evening come back to me like a fever dream. Did I really see what I thought I saw? Can they really say that? Am I going to hell? I envy anyone who haven’t seen the show. Not for the purity of their eyes and ears, but because the first time you see The Book of Mormon, you are forever changed. So, if you haven’t seen it, gather up the kids and grab Grandma. (Just kidding, don’t do that. You’ll want some innocence waiting for you at home when you return.)
This may not be everyone’s cup of tea. The play was superbly executed - acting, songs, dance, music, costumes, stage - were impeccable. However there’s a fine line between satire and tasteless and this play danced on a knife’s edge. Parts of it were nothing short of vulgar. However, the overall lessons of faith, witness, and spirituality are quite powerful and apply to any faith practice.
The Book of Mormon is a lot of fun. I definitely recommend seeing this show. We had a great time.
