  • Book Of Mormon

by Mom on 10/25/25Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center - Grand ForksRating: 5 out of 5

I saw the show twice in New York. The tour group was as good as the one in New York. I kinda wished that they would have baptized her with real water and she actually was wet but I understand logistically that is very tough to do on a road tour. A hilarious, fantastic and phenomenal show. I liked that they have updated her names to Jon Bon Jovi, Nutra Bullet and Ozempic. I remember the name Nefriteri when I saw it in New York. I'm glad my friends and I were able to see it! It was so close to home for us so that we didn't have to buy a plane ticket to see it.

  • The Funny I Didn't Know I Needed

by Becca on 10/25/25Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center - Grand ForksRating: 5 out of 5

I've listened to the Broadway cast recording for years, but this was the first time I've seen the stage performance. I loved it - it's wicked sharp, and the cast we had was absolutely committed to giving us a magical musical experience. Awesome vocals, fun choreography, and the tight, clean cast rotations I have come to appreciate. The audience was fully engaged and reacting to all the hilarious lyrics. What a great night out.

  • Best play I have ever seen

The show and cast were amazing. I can't suggest this enough.

  • It was ok, sound was not great!

by Theater Fan on 10/6/25E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - AkronRating: 3 out of 5

The primary cast was outstanding! Vocals were absolutely beautiful during songs....during dialog, nope, not so much and this is not the fault of the actors, it's absolutely the venue; the speakers are not set up to entertain the entire audience, only the middle. The secondary cast was difficult to understand and hear due to the layout of the venue. Thankfully, I know the show but the person with me did not have a clue what was happening. Sad since the show could have been so much more.

  • A one and done show for my husband and I

    by Jdogg27 on 10/6/25Indiana University Auditorium - BloomingtonRating: 3 out of 5

The musical was funny, but it is quite a bit raunchy at times. I would recommend not taking kids under the age of 15-16. Our 19 year old liked it. It was funny and I am not upset that I went. But for my husband and I, it’s a one and done. We would not see it again like we’ve seen Hamilton and Wicked more than once. If you want to laugh, you will during the show. Just be prepared for some language and inappropriate things.

  • Worst play ever - so sacreligious

by Joyce on 10/6/25San Diego Civic Theatre - San DiegoRating: 1 out of 5

So much swearing and sacrilege. First time in 30+ years of theater attendance, I walked out half way through. It's so sad to see people mocking God and flying in the face of moral decency.

  • Book of Morman

by Mike on 10/5/25E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - AkronRating: 3 out of 5

The actors, music and general theme were excellent, but the language is often juvenile.

  • Great Show in Great Venue

by NOL on 10/5/25Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Book of Mormon was outstanding and anytime you can see a show at the historic Music Hall, you should take advantage.

  • Professional cast. Entertaining!

If you don’t have a sense of humor with respect to certain aspects of religion & life, then consider not attending. Be prepared for adult language & gestures.

  • Upbeat and Fun

by Sue on 10/4/25E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

A packed house enjoyed a lively, funny show. I'm glad it came to a local theater.

  • Loved it

by Julemch on 10/3/25E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - AkronRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed the show, but I have 2 complaints. First, it was too loud. This made it hard to understand some of the dialogue. Second, for a theater that large with that many people, you need more rest rooms. Especially for women.

  • Book of Mormon

by Adam T on 9/30/25Embassy Theatre - Fort WayneRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I really enjoyed the show. It was fantastic. Leave your kids at home and go see it. The cast was outstanding and the flow of the show never gets dull. We would absolutely see it again.

  • Profane Hilarity

by Chris Fisher on 9/29/25Embassy Theatre - Fort WayneRating: 5 out of 5

Wildly profane and not for the faint of heart, but well-acted and hilarious.

  • The Embassy Theatre: Fort Wayne Indiana

by Shad on 9/26/25Embassy Theatre - Fort WayneRating: 5 out of 5

The Book of Mormon (Touring) was a great fun show. This has been a consistent practice among Mormons from the beginning to the present time, where they go to people's homes and ring the doorbells to share the message of the Book of Mormon. This is a funny and entertaining show. I would recommend that others go and watch this Show when it comes close to your area.

  • This show is superb!

  • BEST Musical Ever!

by avilladawn on 9/26/25Embassy Theatre - Fort WayneRating: 5 out of 5

Hilarious! Outrageous! Fabulous acting & music! I'd go again!

  • Not for the faint-hearted

by Mark on 9/26/25Embassy Theatre - Fort WayneRating: 3 out of 5

Great acting Good sets Good choreography Good music Great singing Humorous and engaging storyline Very difficult to hear the words of the actors (music excessively loud and venue's acoustics were poor) Unnecessarily vulgar and crude Monty Python style irreverence Not something I'd ever need to see again

  • Great show.. but

    by B2 on 9/26/25Embassy Theatre - Fort WayneRating: 4 out of 5

The cast and show were outstanding.. when you could hear them. Would have been 5 stars but for the poor audio quality. This is the second musical that I've attended at the Embassy where the sound was uneven between performers and the music track occasionally swamped the vocalists during musical numbers. The Book of Mormon used pre recorded tracks whereas Chicago had a live band onstage but the end result was the same. The mix position at the Embassy is in one of the worst places that it could possibly be: in a back corner under the balcony. There is no WAY any audio engineer can make critical mix adjustments that are accurately translated to the house from that position. That being said I have attended pop and rock concerts that were mixed VERY well at the Embassy. Better sound engineers?
