Live on Broadway, the New York Times calls it "the best musical of the century." The Washington Post says, "It is the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals." And Entertainment Weekly says, "Grade A: the funniest musical of all time." Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show calls it "Genius. Brilliant. Phenomenal." It's The Book of Mormon, the nine-time Tony Award®-winning Best Musical. See it on Broadway today!
Great from the opening moment. Second time as good as the first.
Not what I was expecting... didn’t know what to expect. A little racy. A little raunchy. All in good fun. Took my 16 y.o. I think 14 would be my cut off. Would totally go again! Fun night.
Phenomenal performance of a fantastic show. The venue is beautiful and the seating arrangements are designed well for a clear view no matter where you sit.
Be prepared for a laughter filled two hours, but also expect adult language and raunchy humor. Underneath the laughter the story reveals that life out of our norm can be brutal and ugly. The acting, music, and dancing were superb. Don’t miss out on The Book of Mormon.
The Book of Mormon was hilarious as expected. The storyline was incredibly surprising but also covered so many familiar topics. Must see broadway show!
It left us laughing like crazy and we've been humming the songs practically every day
I usualy dont enjoy musicals but this was the exception. very well done and so funny
I didn't know a thing about this play, but my bestie wanted to see it;(eyes rolled) I bought tickets. It turned out to be an amazing show that was unexpected. So glad bestie wanted to see it. Def go see it again and wld highly recommend anyone else to see this. Not b kids friendly tho lol..
Seats were too close together making for an uncomfortable 2 hours
Engaging from beginning to end... great job..........
If you love South Park, you'll love this show! Great cast!
The Play was funny it was awesome, it was entertaining from start to finish
Best night we had in NYC. Hilarious. Entertaining. Fun. Laughed the whole night.
This show was entertaining and absolutely hilarious. If you’re easily offended, DO NOT go see this show.
First act was a little silly more than satirical, but the second act (albeit a little silly) got much better. Was laughing so hard, I cried. HOWEVER, the mezzanine seats were extremely tight - no room for my 5'2" legs which were crunched up against the seats in front of me. Not even an inch to move your feet during the performance. Anyone taller must have been in agony! We could barely fit our butts in the seats they were so narrow. Some folks had to sit sideways. We were like sardines without the oil. Needed a can opener to get in and out! Everyone sitting near us was complaining as well. Extremely uncomfortable for the entire show. That's the reason for the low rating...couldn't really enjoy it because of the seats.
Best show on broadway. Well acted, sung and danced. Choreo and score are gold standard :)
The play was a delight from start to finish. We laughed well past the point of having aching symptoms muscles. The only negative was the ridiculous price for drinks: $21 for a small beverage served in a sippy cup!
Before going to this musical I knew few things from The Book of Mormons, like the song ‘Hello’ (from the Tony Adwards 2012), that it was written by the creators of South Park and that it was good. My brother recommend it to us. It was hilarious. I loved the song ‘Turn it off’. And thorugh the musical I kept having this flashes to South Park style. The story is really good and the ending made me laught. Not being a native speaker and not knowing the songs/lyrics before hand, made a few moments difficult, because I couldn’t understand what the characters where saying. That and not recognizing a few characters that probably are part of some USA history. But the story and music are amazing, the cast was hilarious and if you like comedy and critisims rolled in a musical, you should totally see it.
Most parts of the play were quite funny. Somw parts of it were very wrong. But overall, still funny. If you have seen it, you'll know what I am talking about. The theater was beautiful. Staff was friendly. I didn't have to wait in line long. Concessions are available. It was a nice experience.
The show is fun and somewhat funny. However, this is not a true Broadway musical or dramatic production that is worth $139 a ticket.
